![The Tarot of Eli The Tarot of Eli]()
The Thoth-Prince of Disks represents
the physical architect and the builder of new worlds.
The steel chariot represents his steely eyed determination that he uses
to build fecund and fruitful worlds (flowers and fruit in the
background). The many little boulders in the back of the Chariot, are
from breaking down big obstructions into little ones so his new worlds
are less obstructive and difficult for the alive.
The
Prince of Disks reforms the body through exercise as he is a sportsman.
Like Taurus the Bull (pulling his chariot), he forges ahead, unimpeded to form abundant and
beautiful structures.
The double Helix, that he is holding shows his
ability to build new worlds that can be implemented consciously (winged
helmet) in concrete and aesthetic ways.
In past blogs, I have stated that Tiphareth is The Central
Sun of our conscious energy expression into incarnation. Tiphareth is
called -Beauty, and is as high as our individual-Personal Conscious can go up the
Tree. This state of Consciousness is known in the Mysteries, as the
Christ, or Buddha consciousness and it brings the body into a "higher"
state of vibratory life force that we know as "unconditional Love"
and also changing the physiology by doing so. However,
only through diligent meditative techniques and ritual divination is
this conscious state possible to physically experience.
THE PRINCE OF DISKS:
(Also called the Prince of Pentacles, in other Tarot Decks), is the Prince of the Chariot of Earth.
Prince
and Emperor of the Gnomes this Prince is zodiacally attributed to the
last Decan of Aries and the first two Decan of Taurus.
The
Prince of Disks is the Air of Earth and/or Specific Air (Rational Mind)
of Primal Earth. The Chariot of the Prince of Disks is pulled by the
Bull of Taurus, demonstrating this attribute.
Being Air
of Earth, the Prince is Intelligible Earth, as Air is Mind. Thus he
brings incredible energy to physical matters. Such intelligent Earth, is
the instinctual mind that shows its incredible focus on building, as in
bees, ants, etc.
Because the Prince of Disks is so active, his armor is light and nonrestrictive.
- On his head is the Bull helmet, reflecting an animal sacred to the earth.
- The disk in his hand is an orb resembling a globe, marked in agricultural mathematical symbols.
- The orbed scepter, that is surmounted by a cross, is a symbol of the Great Work accomplished. The Great Work
being manifesting the Higher States of Conscious Energy, in the lower
states of consciousness below, on earth; by physical focus and attention
to work.
What many of us don't understand that if you
empty your brain of random thoughts, while only focusing on the task at
hand, you are meditating! Even a daily commute in your car, with radio
off, and doing nothing but "hands on the wheel" driving while paying
absolute attention to traffic, is a meditation! The Prince of Disks
intelligence, albeit seemingly slow, knows that multi-tasking, is just
another way to do a lot of nothing well.
The Prince of Disks,is the Green Man force of Celtic mysteries, whose
job it is to bring forth, from the Earthly element, that Vegetation,
which is the sustenance of Spirit itself.
The Mother Earth/Gaia makes the
form, he enlivens it and enforces the design.
Therefore he can be described as the "Electric male force" of the "Magnetic female-Earth".
The Archetypical Character of the Prince of Disks,
is methodical, competent, ingenious, enduring, trustworthy, cautious,
and imperturbable. All the qualities of a very capable manger and a
steadfast preserving worker. Very good at horticulture and hard-patient
work.
This Prince of Mind and Earth, is ingenious as he
constantly seeks new ways of using common things. Always adapting the
circumstance to his slow and methodical purpose. This is to say, that
his plans are well thought out. His emotions are subdued, thus he may
appear insensitive and maybe even dull and slow of wit. But this is
because of one's misinterpretation of his mental activity of which he
won't devote to ideas that he understands to be beyond his expertise.
Simply, the reaction of others to this stalwart character, depends
entirely on their temperament and not his.
The Babylonian Tarot-Prince of Disks-Sumuqan, the son of Shamash, was the Mesopotamian god of herdsman and cattle. His Sumerian name was Sakkan; However, he was also called, Amakandu, and Shahhan.

In the Sumerian story of
Enki and the World Order, upon covering the high plain with green vegetation and multiples of cattle, the wise god turned to Sumuqan and made him "king of the Mountains".
Therefore, cattle were not Sumuqan's only responsibility, now he was responsible for all kinds of wild life, including but not limited to, antelope, deer, wild goats, sheep, lions, pigs, jackals, cheetahs, and leopards.
Although he was often thought of as a Shepard god, his abode was in Ereshkigal's underworld.
Shown on the colorful Babylonian tarot card, Sumuqan is seen standing on a high plains field, cheetah at his feet, and two cattle in the background. There is a disk behind him.
When the Prince of Disks is thrown during a reading, depending on the position and the surrounding cards:

tone, sports, and a steel like resolve to move through issues and remove
blocks.

- Becoming or is a builder who works steady towards their goals and being singularly focused on establishing security.
- The querent, is both kind and trustworthy and will complete a long and laborious task, "come hell or high water".
- There is suggested a Mastery here, of change and harvest procured by knowledge and productivity.
- A younger man or Taurus person that you are inspiring or is inspiring
you to be more physically active, or to move in directions more
fruitful for you or him.
- For women this card represents the inner animus of your nature that is the dynamic youthful aspect of yourself that loves activity and is telling you to get more physical exercise.
- The Prince of Disks can also represent, for all sexes, a desire to travel or relocate during the month of Taurus (April 21-May 21).
- Travel,
new people that inspire your moving in new directions or relocating in a
new environment.
- This card shows the gift of practical thinking and
focus in the material world.
This is a hard card to make negative, the only thought being, that of slowness, and seemingly dull witted.
