The Qabalistic Thoth Four of Wands refers to the 4th Sephira- Chesed (Mercy)-
The Great Architect- in the suit of Fire. Therefore
representing the manifestation of all active power below the Abyss.
The Will of the Two of Wands, Dominion, has been transmitted through the Three of Wands-Virtue and has become a solid system, such as Order, Law, and Government.
In the zodiac the Four of Wands refers to Venus in Aries, which indicates that one can't establish one's work without tact and gentleness.
The Ram headed wands are
sacred to Chesed, while the Dove is sacred to Venus. The Circle shows
the completion of and limitation of the original work. The flames show
the balance of the energy applied.
The Thoth-4 of Wands-Completion card reminds us
that in order to energetically move forward, we must at first complete
what we have already put into motion. This is also a symbol of spiritual
and holistic completion but any way you look at it, something is being
completed and there is a desire to begin something new.

mandalas or Native American medicine wheels, suggesting a completed action. Also in the wheel itself are the Aries
Ram and the Venus Doves, all characteristic of completion and new
beginnings shown in the form of a closed circle.
The Four of Wands, is a
card of wholeness and individualization that represents simultaneously
completion of past and initiating a new future.
Venus symbolizes emotional desire
to move in new directions while Aries represents a sense that there has
been completion or consummation of projects, issues or relationships,
before moving forward. Relationships, because Mars, the ruler of Aries,

behooves the reader of Tarot, to understand that this is a lot of power
formed into work that will go no further---it is done.

By picturing both a Female and a Male reaping their labors, the home in the background, and the couple dressed in the same colors, also suggests a marriage of Venus and Aries.
This card well illustrates the peace and satisfaction that comes from a job well done.
