Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Tarot- Ace of Disks & The SpellCaster's Tarot- Ace of Pentacles

In the Gnosis of Hermetic- Qabalistic Tarot, the 4 Aces represent the "essence" of the elemental Force or Form, not the Forces or Forms themselves. This makes them more esoteric than most other tarot cards, as they are not a concept of vision. Therefore they're quite above and distinct from the other cards in the deck and are often called the "thrones of Spirit".

The Four Aces form a link between the"Small cards" and/or the Minor Arcana and the Princesses who rule Heavens around the quadrants of the North Pole and sit on the Thrones of Spirit. This seems reasonable, since Female force is Magnetic, and Male Force is Electric. As an objective example, in the sky above the North Pole, one will often see the visual aspect of the Magnetic feminine, turning the solar-male electric into waving curved forms of colored light curtains in the night sky; the Aurora Boralis of the northern hemisphere. This Divine Creatrix, also takes the straight lines of the electric male aspect of energy, and curves them into shapes and forms.

Using the Great Pyramid as a meridian, the Princesses (Elohim of the Elements) Rule outward in an Eastward flow, in the order of Tetragrammaton (The Whole God...you may want to look this word up.), Fire, Water, Air, and Earth.This roughly places the:

Now I know the idea of Spirit as an element is very difficult to grasp. The Hebrew letter Shin has to do double duty as both the letter of Fire and of Spirit as well. Spirit is not as clear and concise in explanation like the other Elements because it is the Movement within the Motion of everything else (Ace of Wands). It is the Source of the Microwaves of each "Serpentine Force" , from the Quantum side of the Mirrored Universe that becomes, through a process of revolutionary-evolutionary motion, elements, and individual psyches of Self Awareness.

What may cause some confusion to the scholar of Gnosticism, is that In the Enochian system, the Tablet of Spirit, is the key to all mischief and in the Hindu system it is Akasha, the  Egg of Darkness. It helps one to remember that Limitless light is Darkness because it has no limits to view and that being without limits means no ability to discern, and is always uncertain, therefore spirit can cause mischief in a material world of limits and rules.

To see something objective, the point here, is that the Aces are the seeds of the Elements and not the Elements themselves. So when an ace shows up in a reading, "it is the seed" not the event itself! The reader must also remember that an Ace represents a One Year period for that event seed to become a "Tree".

As you continue your studies, the Seed of Gnosis is planted, and in time the Tree of Life and Death Grows As YOU, not from you. We belong to Knowledge----it is not an "ego" possession as the phrase, "My knowledge" would suggest, but rather,"The Knowledge that creates me". I would recommend that the Student of Gnosis use the second phrase when expressing knowledge.

Remember that, Knowledge is the Invisible Sephiroth, called DAÄTH, that resides on the Middle Path, just below Chokma and Binah (forming an equal armed cross and/or Tau cross) and it is The Womb of the True YOU, that Original Womb, is depicted as the Key 2-High Priestess or Priestess of Tarot. Daath happens to be invisible because the True You is all about the Quantum side of the Universal I AM and not the reactive-objective you/self-conscious that needs to own things to feel valuable. That is why it is called "The Gnosis" (The Knowledge) rather than "My Knowledge" which are two very different perspectives from different sides of The Mirror. In-fact the Soul is called the Mirror that reflects the personality.

When I look from above to the below, I am Knowledge who actively builds its persona. When the persona looks at its reflection in a mirror, it will call it Mine and react to it. Truth be told, the world is a mirror, and when we think we are reacting to environment, and "others", we really are only reacting to our "self-reflection". Like I said, difficult to grasp....but that just makes it more fun to discover!

THE Qabalistic Thoth Tarot- ACE OF DISKS: (pentacles)

The Tree of Life, shows the Crown-Kether and the Kingdom- Malkuth as both ends of the Tree. As Above, so Below, is the Qabalist's axiom for Magi...one who is manifesting the vibration of Kether on the Material Earth Plane. The Above Hu-Man, manifesting as the Below Hu-Man. It is Whole-ness of Spirit (Holy Spirit) and is the mental destination of all who study the Qaballah.

Hence, Earth is not perceived as a "lesser form" of Spirit but as an achievement of Total Spiritual Self Awareness !

There is a definite lack of logic to No-thing, laboring for 14.7 Billion years to  "becoming" some-thing, so that is may return to nothing. No-thing (Kether) obviously Desired Itself into being "something", for even its Hebrew name of Kether-Eheieh-means, "I Will Be" and therefore it is the I AM!

Hence, we are masters of Time-Space, by inheritance of Will-Intent and Self Perspective, and are achieving an active part of the Conscious Energy Self Awareness. We are complete as a Psyche that is able to focus that collective self-awareness down to the scale of human sensuality. Many of use the word Souls, to describe our sacred selves, but know not what that means.

Souls are Libraries/Collectives (Psyche) of Personalities created by a harmonic of Spirit---Therefore, the Real Name of the Real Person and/or Soul is I AM and that name is indeed legion, for each of us inherit it, and command energy into timed reality by  stating "I AM"....  Successful creation in time-space is to gain form, which has an alpha and a omega--because form requires a beginning and an end. With out time-space, no form could be made.Without transformation of forms, motion could not be kept self aware! Change (transformation) is motion/force and it is how we animate time-spacial concepts as "alive" being. You may now see the illusion in this....because we are Life/I AM, we make alive what is  imagined as ourselves! I AM, is existence; it is identity's beginning, and yet uncertain. We freely establish Self Identity by declaring...I Am this or that.Remember, the Quantum has no rules, it is the Uncertainty Principle of particles, such as Photons, Quarks etc..

No mater how arcane, the thinker of thought is always greater than the thought but without experiencing that thought the Thinker is Unaware of Itself. Therefore, the Soul/Psyche is the mirror in which our I Am, a "child" of the Original, self-reflects. Hence, there are many states of self-reflection in the evolution-revolutions of Light. From x rays to visible light, which is only .4% of the electromagnetic-light spectrum, self awareness has continually became more "condensed" until it could "feel itself". You are " a thought form", the First Matter, feeling itself as a Person. You definitely are Magic!

  Sensual self-awareness is what we create on Earth, in the name of the Divine, I AM ME! That is the Great Work of the Soul! To manifest a material being that is the Sensual Gate-Way of Kether on this Earth; a "Me"! The Union of Crown and Kingdom which because of accomplishment, shall never be divided again!

The Ace of Disks or more traditionally, the Ace of Pentacles card affirms the new Aeon.The manifestation of  the Solar Logos and the Material Being as One Being who is many! In other words, the Being whose name is Legion! That would be best known as, I AM ME!

Matter, may be called the crystallizing consciousness which is a materialization of Ideas that began in the "Great Dark Thick Ocean of Binah" who is "Understanding" united  with Chokma- "Wisdom". If you look deeply into you mind, you can see that when an Wisdom is Understood, it now becomes Knowledge and has Image! The seeds of Image are as a seed of a tree, all the Wisdom and Understanding of the Tree is in that Knowledge seed which becomes something greater than itself as it grows into another Tree. We are such seeds. We are the seeds of I AM that has acknowledge itself as probabilities rather than a stasis form of Law. We are the Rule Makers of the Universe--- who freely declare ourselves -a definition that forms time/space into an entity of Me and then through a discerning process of experience, grow beyond it by expanding and liberating our identity from that previous definition. You could call us the Seeds of Conscious Evolution. We are always the "Exception". It's called FREEDOM OF CHOICE, which is a definite "Uncertainty Principle" !

The Tarot Ace of Disks or Pentacles reminds us to choose and then fertilize and nurture that choice with Will-To-Be it! This is indeed a great inheritance! We can be and/or are what ever we define ourselves to be! To be "ill defined" is to think ill about any or all that you "see". To be "Well defined" is to know that everything you see is"another way" to be you (me), a transformed  identity of the One Energy ! Again the greatest seeds of Life that you can plant come from,"Doing unto another what you would have done to you", no matter how they "do unto you" for that is their doing and not yours! Hence, we are free to act other than others.  We must practice what we "think we are"for that is the nature of a "Thought Form", i.e.,our crystallized conscious-energy bodies, which are the "seeding" of Spirit on this Earth. One could say, that Outer growth depends on a fertile and nurturing internal awareness!

This concept of fertile and nurturing internal awareness is well expressed in the art of the SpellCaster's Tarot-Ace of Pentacles. The Traditional Tarot-Pentacle is shown as a copper coin with a pentagram in the center. The Squirrel is usually an animal symbol used to imply industriousness, planning for the future, hard worker, diligence, and/or a forest guardian. I know the Squirrel is not an impressive image as the "Prince Beast", but is a good representative for the hard and diligent work of nature.

Remember, to have a fertile and fecund life, you cannot erase thought by suppressing it for it is energy created it a form and therefore, can only be transformed! So expand it, by not believing it, but by doing it and as a seed it can now grow into a fruitful tree. Outer growth comes from experiencing knowledge sensually, for only as a sensual manifestation shall you know if it succeeds. If it doesn't succeed, you still gain knowledge for then you know what not to think! 

For instance, let's say you wake up in the morning and think,"Damn I feel lousy !" Don't try and suppress it by denying you thought it by overlaying a thought such as " Oh not really, I feel great!". That will only fail as denial, and magnify that ill feeling. Instead think expansively, transform and therefore, liberate that ill thought towards well thought! For example, you may think ," Damn I feel lousy but in 5 minutes I'll feel better!"  And in 5 minutes you will feel better and as a seed you will continually feel better by "watering" it every 5 minutes with "I feel even better in another 5 minutes"....etc. We can do the same for any ill thought---Such as," Boy is she/he a bitch!" By just adding a positive. Such as," However, those who go after what the want always seem bitchy to those who don't want them to."  This just freed you from "disliking" yourself as you go after what you want in life!

This card, The Ace of Disks or Pentacles, reminds us of the seeds we plant in our own Identities by definitions supplied to those images of the One Energy around us and as us, cause our individual world and/or aliveness. Remember, if it exists, its supposed to! To see error doesn't mean to condemn it! After all, error is 50% of Wisdom, Wisdom being the ability to create, see error (in our creation) and correct it. The Body is were we correct the errant thought because we can "Feel" thought and if it "hurts" it has error in it! Happiness is a constant growing; depression is a stagnation of self identity! You are Good enough for the I AM--you are good enough for you! So get over yourself and get on with You, impeccability is what we do!
