Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Tarot-Key 3- The Empress & The Night Sun Tarot-Key 3-The Empress
The Empress represents the Universal Womb, in which all manifestation is gestated. As I have said before in past blogs, she is the Path of Daleth (means-Door) that spans between Chokma (All Father) and Binah (All Mother) and is a Transitional state of Psychic Energy. The 2nd Sephiroth-Chokma, is a Hebrew feminine noun, and has the capacity to emanate the "Pure female" (called Virgin Goddess); However, the 3rd Sephiroth-The Empress/Path of Daleth, is the merging of the Intelligent Energy states masculine and feminine; of Chokma and Binah. She is the pregnant balance of incubation and passivity. It is this Door/Daleth that effects the transition from One into Many, thus being the Gate of Heaven. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Empress is often called the "Mother of Light" since the Dark Fiery Energy of Chokma, enters the Womb that is the High Priestess, who gestates the egg of Akasha, while The All Mother as the Empress passes through Her as a "birth-door" (Vagina), the form of light that we can see. Hence, she is often seen drawn on traditional tarot with a light face (Empress) and dark face (High Priestess). The Night Side Tarot, used as a "dark probe" tarot, shows the Akashic Egg, that was gestated in the High Priestess, as a broken egg shell the vaginal area of her robe, representing a birth. One often finds that the Thoth Tarot, concentrates more on Visible Light, while the Night Sun Tarot concentrates its art on the "Dark Sun": "a light emitted by an anomalous sun, nocturnal and dark." Therefore, the Empress is both light and dark and as did Juno/Janus the Roman Goddess and later God of communication ( the Latin janua means door) which is the passage of ideas, and was said to control the affairs of men. The Roman patriarchal-two faced god, Janus was originally the goddess- Juno, who bore the "Gate of Heaven" title of the Sanctuary Screen in Christian Churches, derived from the yoni "gate" of Juno that was "veiled" by the hymen (a god) in her own Temples.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Hymen (god) Hymen (Ancient Greek: Ὑμήν), Hymenaios or Hymenaeus, in ancient Greece, was a god of marriage ceremonies, inspiring feasts and song. Related to the god's name, a hymenaios
is a genre of Greek lyric poetry sung during the procession of the
bride to the groom's house in which the god is addressed, in contrast to
the Epithalamium, which was sung at the nuptial threshold. He was one of the winged love gods, Erotes. As the "god of Weddings" the female hymen, really needs no great explanation of human sexual traditions. ![]() Yet, the primary goddess-form related to the Empress is Venus-Aphrodite, who in Greek Mythology arose from the Ocean, naked riding a scallop shell. When ever she stepped on land flowers grew, and thus we also know the Empress in terms of luxurious proliferation making each facet of Nature so beautiful and compelling that we can be in danger of losing sight of the whole by the dazzle of the parts. This is about what we do with the human body----as spirit, Fiery energy, we supply the whole of emotion (energy in motion) to our forms, but often the individual emotional parts become so hypnotic that we forget the Whole Self for the focus of the parts. We become servants to what dazzles us with beauty, and forget that we are The Beautiful Dark that Operates "The Forms veiled in Light". It behooves us to state: "I AM the Spirit and thus, the Life of the Body". ![]() ![]() continuous thought and/or infinite dream, and as "God's Image" and/or demiurge, human kind creates reality by constantly thinking and dreaming of it. The study of the Empress card is indeed needed for the Self-Knowledge of the student Qabalist. I am the love of being, that creates being so I can be intimate with creation. -Eli It can never be overstated that these cards or keys, represent states of conscious energy that comprise our Psyche of Whole-Self, which is a collective represented by the 78 tarot cards. In The Tarot- key 3, The Empress, is the symbol of the universal principle of love with wisdom. She is a symbol of our ability to extend love and receive love. In Jungian psychology, she is the anima, the feminine nature. ![]() The Qabalistic Tarot- The Empress-Key 3, is attributed to Daleth, the Hebrew letter that means Door, and is ruled by the vibrations of the Planet Venus. ![]() ![]() The path of Daleth (on the Hermetic Qabalah Tree of Life) unites the All-Father and All- Mother, Chokma (2-Wisdom) and Binah (3-Understanding). Despite the number sequence, this is not saying one came before the other, rather Chokma -Wisdom and Binah- Understanding are inseparable and simultaneous. For when the Kether (Crown) became I AM---so became existence which is the United combination of Feminine and Masculine. ![]() The Magnetic Womb, and Women is difficult to summarize in one word. Therefore the Greek quote."Many-throned, many-minded, many-wiled, daughter of Zeus", points us into the direction of the mystery that is "The Womb With A View" (I-magi-nation). ![]() ![]() ![]() The cascading green veil behind the Night Sun Empress, suggest both water ( or hymen) and Venus. Clutched in the right hand of the Thoth Empress stands a Lotus of Isis; suggesting the Passive Power of the Feminine (the Power that Contains). The roots of the Lotus are in the Earth beneath the Water itself, but its petals are open to the Sun, suggesting the belly of the chalice, i.e. the Holy Grail. She is then the Living Form of the Holy Grail ( Graäl) sanctified by the blood of the Sun (the Sun ejaculates energy which she accepts; semen is of blood). Perched on the Thoth Empress's Throne uprights are a sparrow and a dove, her most sacred birds. On her robe are the Royal Bees and dominoes surrounded by continuous spiraling lines. Her girdle is the Zodiac. The symbol of the Womb's Love of Form is everywhere similar on this card. The Night Sun Empress's left hand holds the scepter and orb with cross, of Royal Empire rule and power. The flowers, are the five petaled Sacred Rose, The Rose-Mari, a symbol for the "Yoni of Mari", the early Ocean Goddess of Mesopotamia and surrounding area. Later the Rose-Mari became the Western symbol of the "Holy Graäl. This symbol not only shows her fecund nature but also states she is the All Mother Form Creator. Her ample breasts, show she is a nurturing mother. Behind her is a veiled solar golden oval, embellish with sacred geometry and words, none of which can really be made out, due to the veiling. The floor of the Night Sun Empress is also covered in sacred geometry, more for design than deciphering. ![]() The heraldry of the Empress is two fold. On her right is a Pelican feeding its own young with blood from its heart. On her left, is the white Eagle of the Alchemist-The Philosophic mercury which symbolizes the "first Matter" and/or "first semen"( Meditation and study, will clarify the deeper meanings of this Heraldry). The Pelican can be identified as The Great Mother, whose "hearts blood" nurtures her offspring as her "Daughter/Queen who becomes many". The understanding of this Hermetic symbolism is as deep as the Ocean, and that is the why and wherefore of path initiations. Love is not a human emotion for it emotes form the Ocean of The Universal Collective Unconscious, from which all Life became. To seek love, is to deny being love; rather we are Love who Creates Itself as off-spring, i.e. "Self Reflection". When the Empress Tarot card turns up in a reading, the querent is:

The Emperor also represents the alchemical chemical, Sulfur, as shown by The Thoth Tarot's Emperor's posed head and arms, forming a triangle; below his crossed legs form the cross, making a complete sigil of the alchemical sulfur. In the Gnosis of Alchemy, Sulfur is the male creative fiery energy of the Universe and corresponds to the Qabalistic Fiery- swift creative energy, the initiative of all Being. [From the Symboldictionary.net] ![]() ![]() The Rams head scepter is a obvious continuance of authority and Aries. The Orb with the Maltese cross and the Aries scepter, on both Cards, imply that his authority and power are now established governance. The shield at the feet of the Thoth Tarot Emperor, represents the two headed eagle crowned with a crimson disk which is symbolic of the Alchemist's red tincture or the nature of gold. The golden eagle, the Sun, is consort to the white eagle, the moon, and/or silver, of the Empress. The Night Sun Tarot-Emperor, has an Eagle perched on his left arm. In the final observation of this Thoth Emperor card, the white light descending upon his head is the 2nd Sephiroth-Chokma, Wisdom, and symbolizes Chokmah's authority of creative wisdom, the Logos, and that it is exerted upon Tiphareth (Beauty), the organized man build of the Whole Soul Collective. As stated the Alchemical Sulfur, also represents the soul. This makes sense, if you understand that Beauty is a perfect organization of opposites; a Jungian synchronicity. There is much about the collective of "I Am", the Divine Creative, to explain but words are not the true explanation of "I Am" which is the English translation of the Hebrew letter Heh, that is shown on the lower left of the Thoth Emperor card and the upper right on the Night Sun Tarot Emperor. ![]() (A). He had to go out into the wilderness; seek solitariness of self contemplation leaving behind the definitions of society. (B) He sees an angel; through meditation processes that take us out into the unexplored areas of our consciousness(wilderness) where we find our inner "Holy Guardian Angel"). ( C). He notices that a bush is burning but is not consumed; our perspectives of sight, change through greater awareness and we see the spiritual fire or as I see, the Human Aura which is a "solar Fire" around the human body that doesn't consume. (E). And after all this, is when he hears the Voice of God but he must hear it twice to be sure its real. ![]() In order to get a glimpse of understanding about the Emperor Card, we have to Know the Empress. I know this sounds odd, but realize for a moment that Binah (The Great Mother) is a Yod unconscious energy that crosses over to the Heh conscious energy, thought the Path of the Empress; the Empress being the balance between Chokmah and Binah. The Empress is the growth process that comes from the union and/or the interaction of male and female as the fertilized cell. She is fruition, The Emperor, although he is a potent masculine energy, is Heh on the Paths, meaning that its function is determined by Binah. In fact, Chokmah (Wisdom); the primary quality of maleness (electric force) is a female noun in Hebrew. Often Chokmah is considered feminine in action, because we have taken the point of view that whatever gives birth is exercising a primary female quality at the moment of birth. To make a long story short, the male is inherent in the female and the female is inherent in the male, which is a real transformation function of a given energy consciousness. ![]() detail, and have covered the path of Heh extensively. However, to reiterate, we know that the Hebrew letter, Heh, represents a window: a window of "insight" about Union rather than the "outsight" of divisionism. And without this window of insight. we can't see God-Logos! The Emperor is "I" sight of the "I AM", the first sense enacted on Form. ![]() Because of our Divine Inheritance from the Demiurge (Lesser Creator) and the Great Mother (Binah-Female aspect of the Demiurge) we are all a Psyche composed of the"Shades" of consciousness. Modern psychology has called these Shades of Consciousness, the Unconscious (Universal Collective Unconscious), the Sub-conscious (the body collective unconsciousness) and the Consciousness (Self-conscious) which just about every elementary school child has heard of; However, hearing of a thing is not knowing the thing. Because of the evolution of subjective thought, from Mythology, to fundamental Religions, and now to the modern science of Psychology, and Parapsychology we are beginning to easily deal with the shades of consciousness within ourselves and are experiencing a New Age (The Age of Aquarius or Aeon of Horus) of enlightenment. ![]() By just beginning to understand the next Five Trumps/Paths, [THE EMPEROR, THE EMPRESS, THE HIGH PRIESTESS,THE MAGUS, THE FOOL], the initiate will be developing the consciousness of the Horus; what Crowley called, the 22nd century human psyche. Because of Modern Physics, we know that there is only One Energy that cannot be created nor destroyed, only transformed (and transmitted), and the student of the Tarot knows that all the 78 cards of the Tarot deck represent Transformations of the One as Self. From the One, emergence the opposites, which are activating the formative, that is the Male (Electric) and Female (Magnetic) communion. Thus it is accurate to state that all Male figures in Tarot are Chokmah (Jah) and Binah (YHVH Elohim) is that of all Female. The robes they wear, represent the different planes and/or dimensions of our mufti-verse, which are actually vibratory rates that are either "will to force" (male) Kether or "will to form" (Female) Binah, and/or their intertwining of vibration (The Divine Union of Goddess/God) that makes all things possible. The Qabalist knows that the "Big Bang" came from what is the Source, Kether, thus the ejaculation of Energy, making the Action of Kether -male( Male is not a sex here, but an action) and therefore defining the Divine Feminine as "Formless" (virgin dark energy- magnetism) in the three formless states of Ain, Ain Soph and Ain Soph Ur. ![]() ![]() In the Tarot, THE FOOL represents the One Energy, THE MAGUS and the HIGH PRIESTESS, are the Macrocosm into Microcosm; first differentiation of Male and Female electromagnetic energy polarity. Pure Consciousness, known as the "root of Water" is represented by the HIGH PRIESTESS and Her consort, THE MAGUS, is considered psychologically as the Will. Thus the term I Am, is understood as the intercourse of consciousness and will, i.e "existence" which is not yet alive, but "will to force" and "will to form". Like I've said before, I AM is your Real Psyche Birth name. One might say, that our self-definitions, and/or "I Am's", are definitely a window into our Soul. The mating of the HIGH PRIESTESS, to the MAGUS, is described in Robert Wang's book: THE QABALISTIC TAROT as, ".....the activity of the directing Will of the One on the Great Ocean of undifferentiated consciousness [Binah] which It has Itself projected [Big Bang] ( The bracketed words are my own). ![]() The reason Crowley has positioned THE EMPEROR , so that the body forms a triangle and a cross. is because he is representing the alchemical symbol of Sulfur. This representation is because of the Alchemical explanation of the Divine-Self Interaction in terms of Sulfur, Salt and Mercury. In Tarot, Mercury is THE MAGUS, THE EMPRESS is Salt and THE EMPEROR is sulfur. This may seem as little more than obscure abstraction: However, when we consider that THE MAGUS, (Philosophic Mercury) acts upon THE HIGH PRIESTESS (Pure Consciousness) and by Union they are transformed into THE EMPEROR (Sulfur) and THE EMPRESS (Salt), we are actually considering the quite basic attributes of our own consciousness. ![]() When the Emperor Tarot card is thrown during a reading, it implies:

Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Tarot-Key 5-The Hierophant & The Night Sun Tarot- Key 5- The Hierophant
Both The Thoth Tarot and the Night Sun Tarot display a Pontiff- like personage, which in Tarot, is the universal principle of learning and teaching. This universal principle was well explained in the publication of The-Course in Miracles: "As you teach so will you learn." If that is true, and it is true indeed, do not forget that what you teach is teaching you." ![]() ![]() The zodiacal reference to the Hierophant is Taurus, whose very nature is that of elephants, thus the corresponding figures of the pachyderm are shown behind the main Thoth Tarot figure, who is also seated on a Bull, a western representation of Taurus. The Bull of Taurus and the Papal Bull, are both behind the head of The Night Sun Tarot Pontiff. Around The Thoth Hierophant, at the four corners of the card, are the four Kerubs or beasts, that are the guardians to every shrine. But no matter how many symbols one sees on this card, the uniting of the Macrocosm with the Microcosm, the nails, is the main reference and principle business of this card's occult mystery. Oriel windowAn oriel window is a form of bay window which projects from the main wall of a building but does not reach to the ground. Supported by corbels, brackets or similar, an oriel window is most commonly found projecting from an upper floor but is also sometimes used on the ground floor. Oriel windows are seen in Arab architecture in the form of mashrabiya. In Islamic culture
these windows and balconies project from the street front of houses,
providing an area in which women could peer out and see the activities
below while remaining invisible. On the Thoth Tarot-Hierophant, the oriel is diaphanous; looking closely, you can see before the Manifester of the Mystery (Arcanum= mystery) a Hexagram which represents the Macrocosm. This Hexagram of the Macrocosm is also drawn in a gold line behind the Night Sun Tarot-Hierophantic image.
of the Hierarchy of the new Aeon but also that of the sign of Venus, the ruler of the sign of Taurus. The Scarlet Woman is another name for this "Blood Goddess" and was a major interest of Crowley's magical pursuits, and a great deal of study is needed just to begin understanding this Macrocosmic phenomena. The book by Peter Gray, THE RED GODDESS, will assist the serious student in their research.
![]() ![]() When a man or woman who commits any of man's sins, by committing treachery toward God and that person shall become guilty-they shall confess the sin that they committed he shall make restitution for his guilt in its principle amount and add unto it a fifth and give it to the one to home he is indebted. Numbers 5:6-7 ![]() Hence, to"walk the Path of Vau", can only be done with a "clean slate" and this requires self-honesty and trusting the mercy of your creator which is best done by recognizing our short comings and confessing them to our Higher Self and/or "Holy Guardian Angel". This gets the blocks out of the way, opening up the "River of Mercy" so that it may flow and revive us as the First Sensual Person of the Macrocosm, who has entered into the Microcosm (Chessed is the Yod of the Microcosm--Yod being the Intelligence of Will). What may come as a surprise to most of us, is that We are Spirit/Life---who makes bodies alive! We have sought "Enfleshenment" but in order to do so we have had to "Walk down the Tree of Life", ever becoming a more condensed form of light, to arrive in the realm of Malkuth (Kingdom), the place of physical manifestation. All for Sensual Reasons! Now we must do the laborious task of "Expanding and Liberating" the "earthly consciousness" of the microcosm by remembering our Macrocosmic Conscious-Self, while still empowering a living form on Earth. This is a tough job, when you remember that the "animal mind" is a survival mind and therefore a "slave mind"---all based on good and bad ("what doesn't hurt and what does hurt") right and wrong ( "what will get me punished and what won't get me punished"). To walk back up through the various conscious states of our Psyche, we must divorce ourselves, piecemeal, from the survival thinking processes that limit the perspectives (sight, hearing, speaking, touching etc.) of the physical self conscious. To expand perspectives is to "open the mind" and we need to banish and/or atone for our actions and resulting guilt for "preying on each other" in order to avoid pain. Fear of discomfort is the "Kingdom" from which we direct our physical lives.....and emotional discomfort is understood as pain. To confront our "fear of pain", to reach atonement ( at-one-ment) is to face our errors and " to correct them in the Mercy of Chessed" . ![]() ![]() ![]() Therefore the Hierophant is that inner part of ourselves that knows how to express our divinity into the outer world. In the Qabalistic Tarot and the Tree of Life, between the Macrocosm [Macroprosopus] and the Microcosm [Microprosopus] stands the Hierophant Key 5-which is the Eternal Intelligence. ![]() ![]() It may be enough to know that all that we are is forever woven into the Divine Spirit (The Spirit/Psyche of The Universal Divine Collective Unconscious) by the binding Eternal Intelligence that is the Hierophant. The Hierophant links the "As above, so below", the Sun and the Moon, the Soul and the man. The texts of the Golden Dawn Lodge of the Hermetic Qabalah, describes the Hierophant as "The Zodiac acting through Taurus upon Jupiter", thus making this card a powerfully masculine Path upon which the Chariot, which carries the soul across the abyss, travels this celestial rode that is the Path of Vau. As all of you who follow my blog know, I have mentioned and examined the Thoth Deck Tarot in many ways. Not because of confusion, but because of the Multidimensional nature of the Energy Intelligence their images represent. The Hierophant links the Great Universe with manifestation which alone requires many texts of explanation. The 78 Tarot Cards, are the illustrations of these texts or rather the "flash cards" of Whole Self. What surprises many students is the knowledge that the Hierophant is not just a teacher but the only inner teacher! He is the "Magus of the Eternal" (The "Inner Teacher"). The Thoth Deck Hierophant does great justice to this concept as it is so full of symbol that students will write essays for centuries. You will notice that in the Crowley/Harris representation of this card, there is a pentagram on the Hierophant's chest that encloses a Child.
There is so much meaning here that great study is required. Leave it to say, that the Hierophant is the administrator of the duality (shown by the traditional 2 supplicant figures) which emerges with Chokmah as it is structured by Binah, and which begins as manifestation below the Abyss as Chessed and is thus related to Tiphareth (The Child Horus- The new Aeon) who is the central point of manifestation. The Hierophant is The Great Teacher who also learns by teaching, therefore teaching is part of the study here. ![]() ![]() ![]() Therefore, the Path of the Hierophant is a powerfully masculine one (Electric Force), to which the Bull-Taurus is applied as the image definitively applied to this card; Being "Fixed Earth", this is a stable foundation; a stabilizing extreme. This is the absolute foundation of the process of revelation where the inherited Knowing of the Creator, where THE Great Father, is expressing It's experience through the Supreme Spiritual Self to the Personality or Ego (Whole Self) of Tiphareth (The Sun of Beauty). Thus memory is involved and the solid foundation of "Above all things, Know thyself" is established as an Universal Inheritance for the Divine Child/Son of God, which is our Soul/Psyche. THE HIEROPHANT is related to teaching, which relates Higher ideas into Lower organisms that is often called, "As above so below". The Hierophant is a state of conscious energy that is the Only source for our understanding of the inner Spirit/Spiral energy conscious. This "Magus of the Eternal" is stated by Paul Foster Case in his text," THE THIRTY TWO PATHS OF WISDOM:, as being the," ....Pontifex, the 'bridge maker' who provides a connecting link between outer experience and interior illumination." Thus, the Hierophant gets the discriminating experience of the Body-operating-Personality, while teaching that very same Personality it's inherited Divinity. Thus,The Hierophant can be said to "Learn by Teaching". Therefore, the Eternal Intelligence can be called "Life" and the Reasoning behind manifestation and implies that a teacher who learns from his students, is a great teacher, i.e. Life learns from the "alive". ![]() The Administrator to the emerging duality that is Chokmah (Phallus -Womb, male-female, electric-magnetic) is the Hierophant and it given form or structure by Binah (Great Mother) which begins as manifestation below the Abyss of Dark Energy and Dark Matter, in Chesed (Mercy) as structured Light. Thus relating to Tiphareth (Beauty-Synchronicity), the central point of manifestation and is the Sun/Son god. This relationship is shown in two ways, first as the letter Vau, which is related to "The Son" (Androgynous Child of God) , and Tetragrammaton, the second is the number six itself is related to Tiphareth as shown by the Hexagram. Crowley also shows the combination of the 5 elements, by the Pentagram on the chest of the Hierophant as the four elements are combined under the fifth element-Spirit, thus forming the 5 pointed star. The Pentagram image, confirms the Great Work known as "As above, so Below", a process in which the symbolic Moon always is a key part. For the Moon is both above and below the Sun on the Tree of Life, as it is both implied as Yesod (Foundation) and is the Path of the High Priestess and is exalted in Taurus. ![]() THE HIEROPHANT'S teaching is intuitive, as it is on the "feeling" side of the Tree of Life ( Venus-Netzach side), applying intuition to concepts collected by reason and built up by memory. Illustrated on the Thoth Tarot, the Hierophant's wand is composed of three circles which maybe considered as the three Aeons of Isis, Osiris, and Horus, interlocking their magical formula. The fact that the Hierophant is the path of Vau, meaning nail, also relates to memory; memory binds together, as does the nail. The Hierophant is considered to be the Triumphal or Eternal Intelligence and is the solid base of experience between the Supreme Spiritual Self and the Soul-Ego of Tiphareth. Memory is one aspect of this ; however the Primary function of The Hierophant is to link the Macrocosm and the Microcosm and the binding nature of this consciousness is described in many ways; one is linking the Sun and the Moon, another is that The Hierophant links together the Collective Unconscious and the Conscious to the Son. Therefore The Hierophant ties together the Above and the Below. Let us not forget the fact that it is related to teaching, not only the action of teaching but also the reaction of learning by teaching! The Hierophant is the only source for our understanding of the inner spirit, as he is the intelligent energy which binds inner spirit to the outer aspects of manifestation. Esoterically, he is the "Magus of the Eternal". If you are acquainted with the Gnostic Christian teachings of Simon the Mage, you'll have a greater understanding of the Hierophant in each of us. Crowley uses the word "oriel" , meaning window, as the dark back ground of this card, as yet another symbol of the Hierophant's linking the Macrocosm and Microcosm, i.e. The Creator with Creation. ![]() ["A circle is the

you put several circles over each other, then you get a spiral".-
Maynard James Keenan] Read more at: http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/keywords/spiral.html Albert Einstein, has also described the Hierophantic Path of Vau, to a "tee": “A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part
limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and
feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion
of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us,
restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few
persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this
prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living
creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

"Classic of Changes"The I Ching ([î tɕíŋ] or Classic of Changes, is an ancient divination text and the oldest of the Chinese classics. Possessing a history of more than two and a half millennia of commentary and interpretation, the I Ching is an influential text
read throughout the world, providing inspiration to the worlds of
religion, psychoanalysis, business, literature, and art. Originally a
divination manual in the Western Zhou period (1000–750 BC), over the course of the Warring States period and early imperial period (500–200 BC) it was transformed into a cosmological text with a series of philosophical commentaries known as the "Ten Wings." After becoming part of the Five Classics in the 2nd century BC, the I Ching
was the subject of scholarly commentary and the basis for divination
practice for centuries across the Far East, and eventually took on an
influential role in Western understanding of Eastern thought. The I Ching uses a type of divination called cleromancy, which produces apparently random numbers. Four numbers, 6 to 9, are turned into a hexagram, which can then be looked up in the I Ching book, arranged in an order known as the King Wen sequence. The interpretation of the readings found in the I Ching
is a matter of centuries of debate, and many commentators have used the
book symbolically, often to provide guidance for moral decision making
as informed by Taoism and Confucianism.
The hexagrams themselves have often acquired cosmological significance
and paralleled with many other traditional names for the processes of
change such as yin and yang and Wu Xing. ![]() The Thoth card symbolizes the vision of Ezekiel, wherein the prophet described the appearance of "four living creatures" and that each had four faces, A man, a lion, an ox, and that of an eagle which are the symbols for the elemental forces of the manifested universe. ![]() ![]() Now I know all this can be confusing, as there are so many ways to describe these cards who have gathered so many symbols over time as they are very old images of invisible forces that are fascinating but almost incomprehensible to our reasoning brain. Primary colors are, Orange-Yellow; with secondary colors of gold, white and silver. The corresponding Chakra is the Spleen Chakra (second chakra)which governs emotion, movement, pleasure, polarities, nurture and nurturing, socialization, sexuality, choices, pride, fear of rejection, and provides our life energy and vitality. The corresponding stones/minerals are gold, silver, platinum. Also amber, pyrite, golden beryl (topaz), citrine, all orange-yellow chalcedony, clear quartz crystal, diamond, moonstone, pearl spinel, white coral, opal, zircon, and gray or white fluorites and chalcedony. Musical notes: Chariot-D# and the High Priestess is -G# ![]() The Tree of Life Paths are: Chariot- Cheth, the House of Influence. For the High Priestess the path is: Gimel, the Uniting Intelligence. Mean of the letter Gimel is camel and the meaning for Cheth is -Fence or Enclosure. The plant essences: The Chariot-Coriander, carrot, labdanum, Roman Camomile and for the High Priestess-Camphor, lemon, and jasmine. The psychic energy (magic abilities) generated by this correspondence is; Clairsentience (clear feeling) which is the ability to feel others emotions. Since this can be perceived both consciously or sub-consciously, often the clairsentient can become moody and confused without knowing why. By applying all the above correspondences (one stone or mineral) with the Mandala that is the Tarot Cards, meditation/ skying can be greatly charged to enhance "magic abilities". Motion or change and identity or rest are the first and second secrets of Nature: Motion and Rest. The whole code of her laws may be written on the thumbnail. -Emerson The Chariot represents the Universal Principles of change/movement combination of stillness-activity: of movement and repose. Every individual is touched by multi-dimensional change in their areas of Earth, Air, Water and Fire, as symbolized by the four pillars, the four wheels, and the four animals. These four elemental aspects of ourselves combine to create who we are, mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. The spinning disc in the hands of the Thoth charioteer, also symbolizes the wheel of fortune/The Goddess Fortuna (The blue water womb of birth/nurture Mother and the red-fire womb of Sex/ Death/reincarnation Mother) and means that we as Psyche, have free-choice and can choose fortunate, positive, and abundant changes for ourselves. ![]() Both the Thoth Tarot- CHARIOT Key 7, and Night Sun Tarot-Chariot are the Tree of Life Path of Cheth on the Tree of Life, the word Cheth means enclosure, or fence. In the THIRTY TWO PATHS OF WISDOM, Paul Foster Case stated: The Eighteenth Path is called the House of Influence (by greatness of whose abundance the influx of good things upon created beings is increased) and from the midst of the investigation the arcana and hidden senses are drawn forth, which dwell in its shade and which cling to it, form the cause of all causes. Between Geburah (Severity) and Binah (Understanding) the Great Mother on the Tree of Life, runs the Path of Cheth. This is the highest and most profound Path on the Pillar of Severity and introduces the Personality to the Supreme Spiritual Self, that wraps our Soul in the Golden Armor of Protection so that the Psyche can be carried through the unmanifested Universe, and/or Dark Matter and Dark Energy. The Chariot is the enclosure that holds the Soul in a state of peace, as moves through all planes. In his BOOK OF TOKENS, Paul Foster Cases stated this about the Chariot: I am the hedge of protection Enclosing the field of existence In this field thou dwellest,. And I am thy defense, Against the darkness which is without. Yet is this hedge of safety Alas a wall of limitation, And the darkness against which it defendeth thee Is the radiant Darkness of the Limitless Light., Too brilliant for thine eyes. The Darkness that Mr. Case refers to is that of the Limitless Light of Kether, the very pinnacle of the Supreme Spiritual Self. Pictured in the Chariot, the experience of the Spiritual Self, is known in Alchemy as the "Exhalation", where the Alchemist becomes the Philosopher's Stone. The Thoth Deck Chariot, shows the influences of both the Hindu Tattvas and the biblical text of Ezekiel with its "living creatures" being represented as 4 Sphinxes pulling the Chariot. These Four Kerubim (angelic beings) represent not only the four Tarot Elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth, but also each has four sub-elements, as do the Tattvas, and are represented as the four faces of the creatures. ![]() Geburah is complimented by Chesed (Mercy) on the Tree of Life, and this compliment is seen in the constant usage of the number 4, Chesed's number. We have Four Sphinx, and four columns (Four Universal Elements) holding up the starry canopy or heavens of Binah (The Great Mother- Empress Card key 3). Theses four elemental columns are shown as wooden columns on the Night Sun Tarot Card: However, wooden or red they are called the " four columns of the Tree of Life in a Solid Sphere", adding a little more of the arcane to this card. I suggest the curious student gets the book, THE QABALISTIC TAROT by Robert Wang, as it is a fine text for understanding the Arcana of the Qabalistic Tarot. ![]() ![]() On this highest Path of Severity, the Soul Warrior of Geburah has reached a pinnacle, as shown by the Tens stars on his golden chest that represent Assiah or Matter. Seated in meditation, with the Holy Grail in his hands: the Cup (Womb) that we look directly into. ![]() ![]() In the Thoth Tarot- Key 7-The Chariot, the Cancer Crab stands on the Knights Helm, referring to the zodiacal sign of Cancer, into which the Sun moves at the summer solstice. Cancer is the cardinal sign of Water, shown as blue above and below the charioteer. Hence, Cancer not only represents the first onrush of the Tarot element water, but it also represents the Path Cheth (meaning fence or enclosure) that leads from the Great Mother Binah (understanding) to Geburah (Severity), on the Qabalistic Tree of Life. Therefore the Chariot represents the Veil of Water ( which is blood) in which the energy of the Supernal (The Trinity) descends on the energy of mankind as Prana and inspires the "spirit within". This card supports the old axiom," ...The Know is in the Flow" and helps us realize the value of Prana Yama (Yoga breath) breathing and the flow of the Life-Fire within and/or Kundalini. ![]() ![]() The four pillars of the canopy, on both cards represent the Pillars of the Universe while the Scarlet wheels on the Thoth Chariot card, represent the original energy of Geburah (the "cleansing menstrual blood" of the Goddess) that causes the revolving motion in the Universe. The four Sphinxes that are drawing the Thoth Chariot, have the heads of the Four Kerubs, The Bull, The Lion, The Eagle and The Man. They actually represent the 16 sub-elements rather than just four, since in each Sphinx these elements are counter-changed. The only counter-change that is shown on the Night Sun Tarot card, is the White horse of Life and the Dark Horse of Life. There might also be a counter-change shown as the Scepter of the Emperor and the Hour Glass of Time, that belongs to the Sephiroth of Geburah, but of this I am uncertain, since both the Emperor and Empress are shown with this scepter in the Night Sun Tarot. The amber-gold armor of the Charioteer, on both cards, represents the sign of Cancer. The reins are not in the Charioteer's hands because he is enthroned in the Chariot rather than conducting it as the whole system is in perfect balanced and his only function is to bear the Holy Grail and/or the instruments of the All Mother, as shown on the Night Sun Tarot. The Thoth Grail looks like a Blue and Red Chakra in the Charioteer's hands, as both colors represent the One Womb of the Blue Binah and the Red Geburah. The design of the Ten Stars of Assiah sits upon the Thoth Charioteer's chest as an inheritance of the celestial dew of the Mother, which maybe symbolized by the blue curtains in the background of the Night Sun Tarot Card. Cancer maybe known as the House of the Moon but Jupiter is also exalted in Cancer. This concept is illustrated on the Thoth Tarot Card, as the color of Amethyst that rings the Grail. The Shape of the Grail represents the Full Moon and the Great Sea of Binah. Spiritual life is inferred by the radiant blood -red in the center of the Grail: light in the darkness of the Womb. ![]() Arcana means secret and/or mystery and the Major Arcana (Key Cards) are deeply embedded in mysterious secrets buried in the imagery of time long past while being totally relevant today, requiring much study. Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Tarot -Key 13- Death & The Night Sun Tarot- Key 13- Death
1st law of thermodynamics (physics) "There is only one energy that cannot be created nor destroyed- only transformed." What we should understand is that alive and dead are two aspects of the same state of Intelligence-Life. Being Alive is life-death cycle of recycling, as form is time-space, there are no divisions between alpha an omega. Therefore, this card represents the Universal Principle of Letting Go and Moving On. As Crowley stated: " The Universe is Change; every Change is the effect of an Act of Love: all Acts of Love contain Pure Joy. Die Daily.Death is the apex of one curve of the snake Life: behold all opposites as necessary compliments, and rejoice." The Tarot -Death is assigned the Scorpio symbol. There are three symbolic images of Scorpio in the Thoth key which represent three stages of transformation and/ or death and rebirth stages:
There are many esoteric aspects of the Death card, also known as The Path of Nun. The Hebrew word, Nun, means Fish, which is the symbol for the First Matter, i.e. Thought. There is also an alchemical symbol of this Path as putrefaction, which is the decaying black mass in the crucible that eventually transforms into gold and is considered a purifying trans-formative process of turning death into new life. The Thoth and Night Sun Tarot cards symbolize this trans formative process as a scythe, a harvesting tool that is also a symbol for Time. Time is under the control of Saturn-Binah, the giver and destroyer of Life Illustrated in the Thoth card is the sweeping scythe, harvesting souls, and the transformative bubbles of new life in its wake. The Night Sun Tarot depicts the Death Goddess, Samothea, pregnant with new life; all of which, support this analogy of life giving and life destroying. The skeleton is the frame work that holds the organs and can be seen as a seed of the body as the minerals that are attributed to bone are the "seeds" of organic forms. ![]() Here is a card that first invites terror, until understood by the initiate. First, it is important to understand that this is not a "physical death" card. The Path of Nun connects Tiphareth (Beauty) with Netzach (victory) and is about the flow of Personality from the Higher Self (Tiphareth is the Energy Intelligence of the Christos) into the Imaginative Intelligence which is the seed of all thought-form. What many of us forget, is that all form is comprised of the First material---Thought! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Netzach, the 7th Sephiroth on the Qabalistic Tree of Life, is the progenitor of Desire Nature, as the name Victory, if examined, will reveal. The path upward from Netzach to Tiphareth (Beauty) is when the Real Person's very will to live and/or function in the sensory condition of the body, is abrogated on the Path of Death. Here the temporary nature of the sensory illusion that the personality thinks it is, is correctly self-perceived. On the upward trek on the Path of Nun, the personality undergoes a "willful" death, surrendering everything that it perceives itself to be to the "Great Unknown" of the Psyche/Soul who then shares this data with the Universal Collective Unconscious. This is the Most difficult surrender --the total surrender of life to the Creator of Life, and then to "The Great Dark Womb of Binah" but it must be done to achieve cosmic awareness and/or Your Divine inheritance. Body death, begins the process that is often called "Born again" and is a rebirth of the Personality in a expanded and liberated state that some would called "Saved" but really is just a "rebooting". For in truth, when one lets go of the possessive sensual self....they step out of the Karmic wheel of Personality death, into the Real Persona- one of incarnations remembered, and Cosmic Inheritance accepted as a Higher Self expression. A Real Person, who was meant to operate the body, before it was told not to be itself by the society and pleasure/pain trained (Brain washing) through the senses. However, do not make the error of thinking sensation is a bad or lesser thing, for to know its purpose in the Great Work, is to "Know Thyself" and sensuality is "magic" to the Soul, who has no such combination of senses, as does the human body (33 senses according to the Tantric Yogis) . Yes we have inherited many mores sense than the 5 senses of taste, touch, hear and see. For instance, a sense of balance, a sense of up and a sense of down, a sense of intuition, as sense of heat and a sense of cold etc.. When we Know that Imagination is our "Mother of Conscious", and that we Imagine our frequency of energy into Self (Psyche into Soma), we know longer seek blame for our inner pain, emotional dysfunctions, i.e., our "Feelings". Instead we know that we think a "feeling" and then the body enacts it. If we thing ill thoughts, we get ill feelings, and the body becomes the manifestation of that illness! How we felt is no one's fault but the Personality Program within the body. Our reaction to other's actions, is our own feeling and is not a creation of another. ![]() For those who don't know who Johann Jakob Bachofen was or is (22 December 1815 – 25 November 1887) he was a Swissantiquarian, jurist, philologist, and anthropologist, professor for Roman law at the University of Basel from 1841 to 1845. Bachofen is most often connected with his theories surrounding prehistoric matriarchy, or Das Mutterrecht, the title of his seminal 1861 book Mother Right: an investigation of the religious and juridical character of matriarchy in the Ancient World. Bachofen assembled documentation demonstrating that motherhood
is the source of human society, religion, morality, and decorum. He
postulated an archaic "mother-right" within the context of a primeval Matriarchal religion or Urreligion. Bachofen became an important precursor of 20th century theories of matriarchy, such as the Old European culture postulated by Marija Gimbutas from the 1950s, and the field of feminist theology and "Matriarchal Studies" in 1970s feminism. [From Wikipedia the free encyclopedia] ![]() ![]() ![]() Upon conquering the Path of Nun, the Soul built personality is reconstructed as the Person of the Higher Self, and the emptied brain is filled with the Primary Imagination...The will to form and the Understanding of the Great "Womb with a view". ![]() ![]() The Death Card, during a reading, suggests Time, Age and transformation. Rarely does it symbolize physical death and only if borne out by the accompanying cards. For the Querent, this is the Principle of letting go, and moving on. A rebirth out of Old conditions. A type of transitional metamorphosis which destroys the something old to build the something new.. A Realization of Life Power as it is released from past confines and revitalized by change and regeneration. The Story of NUN is best shown in the Story of Noah (Noach): There are generations of Noah---Noah was a righteous man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God. Genesis 6:9 One "being righteous in his generation", is a relative statement. After all the ten generations between Adam & Eve and Noah were a steady stream of immorality, greed, corruption---mankind was a nasty being at the time, totally dependent on the survival mind. So Noah, who secluded himself from the culture and keep his morality---looked pretty good. Like comparing copper to silver, silver looks better. But when comparing silver to gold, gold is definitely more valuable. Comparing Noah to a modern man of goodness, well...Noah would lose. For example, years latter when God said he would destroyed Sodom, Abraham bargained with god --always trying to save at least a few people. Noah didn't even consider it, he just followed orders. His silence showed that he didn't consider others very often, if at all. This story points out that what we call morality, righteousness, and goodness, even what is considered" good or bad" action, is all relative to the times and culture of the observer. What we think is right and wrong change with culture and evolution. So being the "Best you" that you can be today, will most often change to an even "better you" in time; just do the best-you that you can today. We were never built "perfect", not because God couldn't build us perfect but because Perfection is a state of stasis; Carbon in its "perfect state", is a diamond and is useless as organic matter. Stasis, meaning "non-motion", is not how Energy Moves! Our Perfection is rather a state of motion driven by change. Hence, we are always "creating-seeing error in that creation-and correcting it." And we all know, that unless you do it, that is get your butt moving into a motion of active creation---you are unable to sense the error in thought and thus never correct an errant creation. And all creation has error---because of the Law of Entropy! (....everything proceeds from order, into disorder. --Second Law of Thermodynamics). So by being what we know best today----we'll be able to know more in the future. This is the Story line of Nun. It is about Spiritual Relativity, i.e., Everything is relative. Everyone has relative-perspectives based on their life experiences. Often that is why one believes one thing and another believes the opposite to be true. I've personally have learned not to believe everything I think. Do it---Know it by the constructing and operating of it---not by just taking my own or everyone's word for it. Lazy minds, are from sleeping Souls who let others tell them what is right and what is wrong. These Souls experience a Dreamless sleep that is known as death. My Soul is the Skeleton with the Scythe, who continually transforms my personality by "trimming off the wasteful thought" and recycling it into greater action (The fish is a symbol of the First Matter). This "Soul psycho-dynamic Surgery" of constantly evolving thought, is frightful to a self-conscious personality that sees change as an enemy. In truth, Transformation is change, and it is the only constant in this Universe. Therefore, I trust the Soul as I know that "me" is not in-charge of this rodeo we call life----My Soul Persona is, so I respect my "I AM" mentor and do the best I can---at the moment. I Find that the best surgical device for errant thought is the Qaballah, as it is a step by step procedure into our Great Work, where we come to Know Ourselves and the how and the why the Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine (both are States of Energy Conscious-God "Electric State" and Goddess "Magnetic State") spent 14.7 billion years coming to a "conclusion of probabilities" that is the fractal of identities created by I AM that is "me". Being a dancer whose rhythm is "Alpha and Omega" that intercourses into Form, I now know that Paradox has a personality and it is Human!
Esoteric title: The Child of the Great Transformers; The Lord of the Gate of Death. ![]() ![]() ![]() Zodiacal this card is attributed to the sign of Scorpio, who is ruled by Mars, a planet of fiery energy in its lowest form. Scorpio is one of the two most powerful signs in the zodiac. Leo is the other, but in this case, Scorpio is divided into three phases and lacks the intensity of Leo, therefore an impulse is needed. In formal astrology, Scorpio is divided into three parts:
![]() ![]() Yet more, he is also the original secret creative male god, whose tradition has been corrupted by the propaganda of Changing Religions, to that of "Lord Dread", a fiendish and senile symbol. Again, it is to be noted here, that the Sweeping Scythe, is producing bubbles that represent the dancing new life forms produced by the putrefaction of the old forms. Their dance, is the new motion of life that arises, as if gas bubbles freeing themselves from the putrefaction of the old forms, who reside in stasis at the bottom of the Amniotic fluid of the Sea. This conceptualization is continued in the Fish symbol, that is a paramount illustration on this card. The attentive student will note that the serpent and the fish are the two principle objects of worship in cults that taught the doctrines of resurrection or re-incarnation ( Oannaes and Dagon, fish gods of Western Asia). Even in Christianity, the Fish represents the Christ. Even such esteemed scholars as Browning, reminded us that the Greek word, IXThUS,"...means fish and very aptly symbolizes Christ." IXThUS, was supposed to be a notariqon; the initials of a sentence meaning, "Jesus Christ Son of God, Savior". Also,The Gospels, are full of miracles involving fish, and the fish is sacred to Mercury, because of their swiftness, silvered brilliance and cold bloodedness. This again recalls the function of Mercury, the god, who is the guide of the dead, a messenger of divine will and as the continuing lasting elastic element of Nature. This is a card of great importance, that must be understood if we wish to translate the compendium of Universal Self. When the Death-Key 13, Major Arcana Tarot card is thrown during a reading:

Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Tarot-Key 15- The Devil and The Night Sun Tarot- Key 15- The Devil
![]() ![]() ![]() On the Qabalistic Tree of Life, we see that Key 13-Death and Key 15- The Devil are symmetrically placed; they lead from the Hu (god) man (mind) consciousness, Tiphareth the 6th Sephiroth ,to the spheres where Thought, on the left, and Bliss on the right, are developed. Between them, Key 14-ART leads similarly to the sphere which formulates existence. ![]() [Form Wikipedia the free encyclopedia]Thetemptation of Christ is detailed in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. According to these texts, after being baptized by John the Baptist, Jesusfasted for forty days and nights in the Judaean Desert. During this time, Satan
appeared to Jesus and tried to tempt him. Jesus having refused each
temptation, the devil then departed and Jesus returned to Galilee. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hence, we all are Children of the Divine Creative. Each of us has the same potential, whether we use that potential equally, is up to the individual, as each of us are not slaves to anyone and/or any "outside authority". Each of us has Divine Freedom of Choice to imagine ourselves as we will, making our authority an inner one of "I" sight. Hence, "To Be or not To be" is indeed our plight. We are free to be ignorant of our truth because of "Pleasure Pain" training that is ruler enforced identity or go beyond and liberate our I-dentity from indoctrinated limits, thereby becoming " a Tree of Knowledge". Rather than a weed fearing the gardener. ![]() To reiterate: On the Qabalistic Tree of Life, The Tarot-Devil-Key 15: is the Path of Ayin, connecting the Sephiroth of the Solar Logos-Tiphareth, Beauty, with the Sephiroth- Hod, Splendor, which is the sphere of Mercury and intellect. The Path of Ayin (meaning Eye, which is a symbol for The "I"), is the Twenty-sixth Path and is formative. In the terms of Self structure; it is the bridge between The Solar or Soul Personality and individuality. As I have stated before, in many blogs, the Solar Logos, is the Original Persona of the Divine Child of God, i.e. the Son/Sun. Note: this is not a sexual description of a species, which is a definite propaganda misdirection, rather it is an Energetic one, For the Christianized "Son of God" is about the Solar Logos; a Sun that sends "solar flares" (Divine Yod Energy) outward as individual expressions of It's own Self (individual selves or Personalities); from Self into selves that circumnavigate, through the many myriad of experiences of self-awareness back to Self, i.e. from Tiphareth to Malkuth and back up the Tree to Tiphareth again. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() To the Hermetic Qabalist, the Devil is not viewed as an evil entity (lived spelled backward), having its own god-like existence, rather it represents a special mystery (Arcana) that must be experienced and understood before we can hope to directly know the Higher Self. The Devil is the intelligence that is Master of Manifest form (the Survival Mind), which we meet on the Path of Ayin, and must face and conquer. The Path of Ayin, takes the traveler into an understanding that we are entering a transition between the intellect of mortal consciousness (individual conscious) and True Spiritual Immortal Conscious. ![]()
![]() ![]() THE DEVIL representing Saturn in Capricorn, brings up an interesting point. The Ancients stated that "Saturn eats its own children", meaning that for Spirit ( I AM), the illusion of being "alive" (Me) is necessary to produce the sensuality of the material form, and that the dissolution of these forms (Me) is essential to the Path of Return. In reality, Life eats itself to stay alive and to the Alchemist dissolution means analysis, which is the precise application of separating the component forces of ourselves and our universe into twenty-two paths on the Tree of Life. The next part of the process is reintegrating these forces through the understanding of their operation. Eliphas Levi called THE DEVIL--The Path of Ayin---the "Great Magical Agent" this process of manipulation as, to dissolve, to consolidate, to quicken, to moderate, i.e., dissolution, re-integration, activity, and grounding. Thus we have the same qualities as described to Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
This Card then emphasizes the knowledge that our belief in the illusion of matter, i.e. mortality, (Matter is only .4% visible as our bodies are 99.6% space!) is actually laughable to us "Suns of the Divine Creative" and/or immortal Psyche/Soul, while implying that laughter and a humorous approach to our lives is a tool which will help our consciousness to transcend the illusion of "seeing it to believe it" and becoming "Knowing it by Being it". Mirth is the first great corrective toward realizing what is real and what is reality, and therefore, helps us not to take our perceptions of the material world seriously, which only means "fearfully". It pays to remember that the Survival Mind of the animal, is our Devilish tempter that tricks us into believing we are as Moons who are at the mercy of Solar-Forces rather than the Magus (The Sun) who manipulates them. The difference between a comedy and a tragedy is that in a comedy the characters figure out reality in time to do something about it. --Bennett W. Goodspeed ![]() ![]() Interestingly, the Devil spelled backwards is Lived, and shows the obvious reason for this backlash-propaganda for "backward thinking" that is against "living-it-up" which was considered hedonism. According to man-made theology, we must now consider the body a burden, that Nature somehow imposed on us, and that the resulting sensuality is improper and a shame unto god(?). If that be so, then the Devil, "the evil twin", created us rather than the All Perfect Father God, of Christian dogma. However, the Christian dogma got around this reasoning by saying that it is freedom of choice, a Divinely granted grace, that is our down fall. Which goes a long way in proving that being a "free thinker", is very anti-Christian. All superstitious ensconce aside, the Devil/Pan archetype represents the need to face whatever "bedevils" us. It reminds us to handle life from a place of humor which gives us the sure footedness of a goat ( Capricorn) and the humor of Pan (the smiling goat). To avoid the ensnarement of fearful chaos (the web image of spider like veils), we must hold on to our sense of humor, mirth and stability which centers us when we face real or imagined problems. It's okay to laugh in a traffic jam! ![]() ![]() ![]() The rings of Saturn are seen at the top of the Thoth card, as Saturn rules the sign of Capricorn. ![]() ![]() The ability to reverse the ebb and flow of Astral light, requires meditation, intellect and discipline, all of which are achieved by conquering the Path of Ayin. One must begin this process of discipline with the intellect of Hod, traversing into the intuition of Tiphareth, The Christ or Buddha state of intelligent energy. As I stated: Even the scriptures talk of Christ's passage through the temptations of the Devil, i.e. his own illusions brought on by sensual matter . ![]() What the understanding of The Tarot Devil card produces in us, is the knowledge that the illusion of Form, is the same as the illusion of mirror reflections, its all reflected backwards and not a true state of Being. Turn your mind around, and know that you are a Spirit who owns a body (which is a power tool for discernment), and not a body that is seeking Spirit. ![]() Besides the obvious clue of the word Devil being Lived spelled backward, this card represents the Reverse of Truth that a Reflection in a Mirror gives us in a world of Reflected light. Here we may even understand that Words, are in themselves, merely Reflections of individual observation. This may seem a stretch, but if we realize that the"Power of Words", is merely individual interpretation as they in themselves are not a Power but a Color of Power; color being a reflection of light and words being a reflection of vibration. To illustrate this phenomena of seeming word power, you can yell at the floor the words," Grass, let there be grass", until you turn green, but grass will not be created on your floor. There is no power to create an image by words, unless you are indoctrinated into understanding their meaning by a culture. This being so, words are indoctrinated definition which leaves them subject to interpretation----especially if the means of indoctrination is enforced by punishment! Punishing us to understand a definition, means we define it first as Pain, which ends up making it a "bad thing". ![]() The Path of Ayin therefore, connects Tiphareth [Sun/Son Consciousness] with Hod [ a sphere of Mercury] with the Active Splendor of Intellect helping us understand that Splendor is the domain of color. Therefore, Hod represents the COLOR OF INTELLECT. Many of us personally have experienced the "Peacock" spread of Words by those who think amassing words is intellect, but it really is a propagandists paradigm of "baffling them with BS". That is also the process of our brain who is programmed into believing that thought is from words even though intuition is the flow of knowledge from the Inner Self connected to the Universal Collective Unconscious, that "thinks" as Image. Words trick us into thinking that we "know something", without being able to create it into manifestation. Words basically serve survival thinking, they describe to us What is food--what is not food, what is good and what is bad, according to personal likes or dislikes etc.. To describe the Real of something requires mathematics and lab work, the drawing of structures etc., trying to recreated what has been already created, in order to truly understand it beyond its worded definition. Hence, with the Splendor of words, we can interpret a universe that is already created by Something Beyond Words. This is great, as long as we remember that words build a reality---not the Real and that as Spirit, we are "Something beyond words". The Real is already made, without ever asking us to assist. I AM never asked the Me, if it was okay to build it. THE ME (self-reflection) inherits what the I AM produces (Identity). Imagination is the Intellect/Womb of Spirit-----but in our worded thought, imagination is a "not real" since thought as words are the power of fantasy. If we realize that reality is merely reflections in a mirror of our own self-interpretation/reflection, we won't be tricked by the Devil in our head! The Brain is a Mirror of our own imagined Self! If properly used, the Brain/mirror assists us in seeing the error of our self awareness in retrospect. If not properly used, we think that we are the Brain, and cannot afford to ever be in error----for that means "bad" and that is Pain! Therefore, the brain can never be wrong, and believes everything it "thinks" which is the paradigm of righteousness and as history has proven, guarantees genocide. ![]() The Devil Card represents a mystery which we must penetrate before we can directly know the Higher Principle of the Self. This card is the symbolic veil for the greatest practical secret of occultism; the veil of reflected light, and the "masking" of thought with words. The axiom of "above all things, know thyself" again applies here and we must understand that the world of Physical manifestation is A Spiritual Activity and we are the Active Spirit here and that thought is merely a mechanism for self-reflection! Hence, The Devil card also represents the illusions of the physical eye, where we accept what the reflectors [human eyes] tell us, placing ourselves into the mental/emotional bondage of reversed perspective (AM I), rather than expanding and liberating the body from the rule of The instinctual-survival mind. We are the "Sons" of The Divine Creative [middle path Tiphareth- the Sun center whose light the body reflects] and the Devil is a reversal of our expanding awareness---it is lived spelled backwards! This means that through meditation and disciplined Intellect, we can reverse the flow of Astral light downward , and advance ourselves/personalities, upward to the Christ/Buddha conscious state of energy. In the Hermetic Qabalah and Tarot, Down is Outward and Up is Inward! ![]() The word devil derives from the Greek diabolos; di meaning "to divide", and/or two, Abolos meaning to "abolish'. The word archetypes are: evil (live spelled backwards), lived (devil spelled backwards), deus (two), divide, diverse, die, deva (Goddess), dervish, deviate, devious, diabolic, and diablerie (black magic). The Tarot Universe or World card, is associated with Saturn and Capricorn (December 21- January 20), in which falls the Winter Solstice; Christmas Day. Before December 21-24 is when the Sun is farthest from the Earth. Christmas Day is when the Sun begins to rise again from its deepest descent, i.e. The Sun (son) is born again. There are many Gods and Goddesses born at Christmas, such as, Buddha, Tammuz, Mithra, Quetzalcoatl, Frey and Freya, Attis, Saturn, Adonis, Herne, Pryderi, Persephone, Baalim, Dionysus, Osiris, Horus, and Jesus. Christmas is also known as Candle Mass, the lighting of candles to honor the birth of the Sun's light---a custom still honored in many Christian churches on Christmas Eve.
Clairaudience. This psychic attribute is known as "clear seeing" which is the ability to "hear" without regard to time/space or the use of physical ears. The knowledgeable student of the Qaballah knows that the Devil, Key 15 is about the illusion of Division---where as "The One Energy" seems to become two---He and She. She is Magnetism and He is Electric. United, they make all life possible------separate they cannot "give birth" to life. In the Universe Card, The One energy is also shown as The Goddess and The Serpentine God (electric force) with the "All seeing Eye of Horus---The son (sun) which represents ( among other esoteric ideas), clairaudience. Needles to say, a greater in depth study of these esoteric meanings must occur before we can manifest the " Mirth filled enlightenment of Union". ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() * [ Amitra of the Indian philosophers, the Nepenthe and Ambrosia of the Greeks, the Alchahest and Universal Medicine of the Alchemists, The Nectar. The Mother of the Blood of the Grail .] ![]() To the ancient Greeks, the Moon Cow was Io or Europa or Hera. The Greek word gala, meaning "mothers milk",is the root word for galaxy. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Thoth Star card shows the manifestation of Nuit on a lower plane is Binah the Great Mother - The Sea of Life, The fertile Earth, nurtured by the Ocean of Binah, shown as supporting Roses in the right hand corner of the picture but between the Sea and the Land is the Abyss, which is hidden by the clouds, that whirl as her hair. ![]() ![]() Interesting to note here, is that every form of energy depicted here, is spiral (Spiritual). This is known as a "Spiral Universe"...we live in a Spiral Galaxy which we think we discovered just recently. Yet Zoroaster is quoted as saying," God is he, having the head of a hawk; having a spiral force." Hawks spiral in the sky as they hunt and also symbolizes the ancient Egyptian Hawk Headed god Horus. Spiral is also the mathematical conception of the Universe by the renowned physicist Albert Einstein. It seems the Metaphysics of Hermetic Tarot, Gnosis, Alchemy, Qabalah, Tantra etc., are the Quantum physics of today! ![]() ![]() As we can see on the Thoth Star Card, there are two streams of Divine Energy:
The Divine Energy flows through the Divine Mother to us by the integration of Chokma- Will to Force- (intuition/feelings for he is Wisdom a feminine noun in Hebrew) and Binah-Will to Form(intellect/consciousness). These 2 streams of energy are shown flowing from the 2 breasts of the Night Sun Tarot central goddess image. Many of us forget that the Imagination is a "Womb-with-a view"---and is the Consciousness of the Divine Mother of all Forms. This forgetfulness, is because we have been taught by our Patriarchal society that imagination is a world-wind creator of fantasy and to be considered beneath our rational-worded-linear thought. We have somehow forgotten the meaning of Image-maker-conscious (imagination)."It's Just your imagination," is a common "put down" theme and uses denial to ignore the fact that: It's "just" The Divine Creative's Imagination that created all that you can see, hear, feel , smell and touch including YOU! Other than a self-reflection, what else do you think a Self-Image is? Water is a symbol for the ebb and flow of consciousness , and Binah, is the Vast Sea of the Un-Conscious (meaning "not of consciousness"), which by meditation, we cast our consciousness into and thereby find a understanding of the process of life and death. The Night Sun Tarot also shows the "magic beads" of prayer used by many cultures, and two cubes or cages. Since he has shown "hearts in cages" on his other cards, I can only think that Fabio, is suggesting the cube of matter (they are resting on earth) encasing the hearts/ of anima-spirit and animus-soul. In the Thirty Two Paths of Wisdom, by Dr. Paul Foster Case, The Path of Tzaddi is described as the Path of the Natural Intelligence. To the Student of the Hermetic Qabalah, this suggests that the primal forces of nature attributed to Netzach (Victory), the sphere of the Elohim who are synonymous with nature itself. You'll need to study the Hebrew word Elohim to understand this in greater detail, but they are called the Gods of Netzach....which means ruling forces. That can be ruled by Man, who is arguably the Elohim Malachim (sons of god) Which is whom we are as the Soul or Real Person that radiates from the 6th Sephiroth-Tiphareth. As physics has proven; by our observation alone, we change the observed behavior of electrons! ![]() This trinity of I AM ME, is all part of the Greater Mysteries of Tiphareth, the Solar Logos which is the central Star of our Existence (our Solar Core/Psyche). Only by controlling the Sexual/Spiral energy in ourselves---the Kundalini [Lion-Serpent] can we travel the path to Tiphareth. However, this fact has been perverted by believing that Sexual energy, must be oppressed (made celebrate) to approach our Christos. This celibate practice is a perversion of the truth as the function of the Divine Creative and the practice of ten's of thousands of years worth of Shamans, Tantric and mystics, suggests otherwise. We must combine, through communion of He and She the flowing serpentine force with willful union of intuition, feelings, and intellect in order to flow to our Solar Core and stand a True Power of influence in the realm of Alma Mater. ![]() Our ignorance of the Sexual Communion is not only showing us how the great Mother is disabused by fear based Patriarchal rule, but that all sexual perversion diverts us from the path of Tzaddi, and we are unable to control the lust filled passions of the Divine Frenzy that is all around us and within us, and therefore become mental, emotional and physical deviates of a psychosomatic -chaos perpetrated by divisive thinking, which makes us powerless to use our scattered creative forces. Just what the bullies of "Divide and Conquer" want, i.e., "those who rule definition". ![]() The Process of approaching the Solar Center, is a yoga (yoga means--communion), involving the enervation of centers of energy (Chakras--means "spinning wheels") which open up our Energy Centers through the process of meditation, both internal and sexual. Our body is a magical device of the Solar Logos and its Son, the Soul. And as a magician, we as a consciousness, must learn to operate this device. The first knowledge should be that energy flows from positive to negative poles. Male is positive polarity in this world, and female is negative polarity, so once again the figure 8 shows up to show us the necessary flow between the electric male and magnetic female. This flow is shown on the Thoth tarot as the flow from the Golden cup of the Sun (he) and the Silver cup of the Moon (she). ![]() Hence, we can't consummate our perfected nature until we are the perfect marriage of anima and animus on Psychic worlds above and Psychic worlds below...of as above, so below. When meditation is successful, we find that we don't meditate, but rather we are meditated into image! We may understand better if we think of Tiphareth, The Higher Self/Solar Logos, as a kind of fisherman, who by angling with the Fishhook of meditation, pulls our personality/self-conscious up into the Solar Self. From that Higher Perspective our personality can see that the self-image of form is meditated into existence from Briah, the Creative World of the Soul. The formation of the individual consciousness from the Divine collective unconscious begins from the point of Netzach, which is the highest level of "personality" while Tiphareth is the highest level to be reached by intellect. The object is to hold a "Holy Mass" where the Personality and the Intellect are joined in Communion, within the honeymoon suite that is The Human body. ![]() The Star is associated with the love and inspiration sign of Aquarius. In the ancient world, Saturn was said to govern Aquarius, referring us to Binah/Time and The Universe key 21. Because the Star card represents the universe resolved into its ultimate elements, it relates to many more Paths than any other card in the deck. Thus, I recommend getting the text book by Robert Wang---The Qabalistic Tarot ( A text book of Mystical Philosophy) and studying the many path- Charts on the Tree of Life , that he presents in the book. To the Hermetic Qabalist, the Star card represents the "Lower Eden", from which the Personality originates and the Emperor, represents "Upper Eden" where the idea of Fiery Higher Self originates...The Solar Logos. Here to, we see a relationship of The Star Path (Tzaddi) relating to another Path, that of the Emperor (Heh). ![]() After the " War Lord religions" (Patriarch) took over cultural programming, the meaning of Beauty (Synchronicity) became a Underworld Angel who was so narcissistic that he challenged God; as did the Titans, the children of women and the "gods who from the sky came", challenged the gods of Olympus. We all must study history and mythology to see how the Jews, Muslims and Christians took the names of gods and goddesses of other religions and demonized them, which only contributed to ignorance and lost self-awareness. The truth is that the Latin word Lucifer (Morning Star) is similar to the Greek Christos (Sun, also Zeus Christos or Sun of God) ----both relating to the fiery Sun/Son of God....The Solar Logos and/or our Higher Self/Psyche/Real Person/Soul. To aid one in their skrying/meditation, it is found more power is gathered when one uses the corresponding things in nature. Therefore: Thoth Tarot Correspondences: 0-The Fool & key-17-The Star. It may be interesting to note that in ancient text, the "Holy Ghost" was considered to be feminine rather than the masculine concept of masculine, and she was/is known as Sophia, The Mother and Beloved of the Father. The Star card promotes the image of Sophia, while the Fool, promotes the image of the Father. To the ancients, the Fool (The Green Man) was both wise and "innocent as the children". He is Joker (Trickster) and Wisdom.
The Fool- Fennel, Niaouli. Often the Star card is associated with the "Mother Nature" of the Universe (The Universe is Natural----in fact there isn't any Super Natural---there is just parts of the Universal Collective that is Nature, that we don't understand yet) and the Fool is The Green Man-or Father Nature. It may help our understanding if we remember that Male is Electric Force and Female is Magnetic Force, so in essence we are dealing with Universal Magnetic Conscious and Universal Electric Consciousness. When both are united in harmony----We have Sophia, "the whole of spirit". . The Hebrew story about the letterTZADDIK (Tzaddi)--Meaning; fish-hook. The Path of Tzaddi-Key 17-The Star. So God created man in His Image, in the image of God He created him; male and female; He created them. Genesis 1:27 In this short story of the first of two descriptions of human creation, God made male and female at the same time. This is true for time/space and electric-magnetic. All of us are subtle androgyny, rather than the obvious single sex, as we all are composed of the energy that flows between and through the polarities of electro-magnetic (electric is male and magnetic is female). Also the brain itself has "male and female" lobes. Since there was only One (Kether on the Tree of Life) when two where created from the one ( Chokmah-Male electric/spiritual fire and Female Binah--Magnetic-spiritual water)both "became" at once, just as the figure eight is drawn from one line. The "Image" of God has been argued by the best, but it can also mean extra-terrestrial "DNA" bonded with the natural mammalian DNA, a GMO operation done by the "angels that fell to earth" and/or "those who from the sky came". [I know that was unnecessary to bring up but I just love a good debate!] However, there is no debate about our imagination, it is as a creative Womb and obviously an active Creative Conscious nestled in our passive "Unconscious"---the Universal- Collective-Unconscious being attributed to natural inheritance, i.e. created before us by Life's experiences, but ours to be at one with.

From the Thirty Two Paths of Wisdom-Dr. Paul Foster Case: The Thirtieth Path is the Collecting Intelligence and is so-called because Astrologers deduce from it the judgment of the Stars, and of the celestial signs, and the perfections of their science, according to the rules of their resolutions. ![]() This article from Wikipedia is about the third son of Adam and Eve. For the Egyptian deity, see Set (deity). For other uses, see Seth (disambiguation). .Seth (Hebrew: שֵׁת, Šet, Šēṯ; Arabic: شِيث (Sheeth); placed; appointed"), in Judaism, Christianity, Mandaeism, and Islam, was the third son of Adam and Eve and brother of Cain and Abel, who were the only other of their children mentioned by name in the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible). According to Genesis 4:25, Seth was born after Abel's murder, and Eve believed God had appointed him as a replacement for Abel. According to Genesis, Seth was born when Adam was 130 years old "a son in his likeness and image." The genealogy is repeated at 1 Chronicles 1:1–3. Genesis 5:4–5 states that Adam fathered "sons and daughters" before his death, aged 930 years. According to the Bible, Seth lived to the age of 912. This profound age, was also the normal aging of the Annunaki, according to the Sumerian clay tablets. It's also important to note that the Personality we came as Spirit to build, is one that expands and liberates the Animal consciousness towards a state of "Angelic -Sapiens conscious. We came to elevate matter and its survival mind to that of Universal Thought. ![]() Resh-Rivka (Rebecca)And when the time came for [Rebecca] to give birth, behold! There were twins in her womb. The first one emerged red, entirely like a hairy mantle, so they named him Esau. After that his brother emerged with his hand grasping on to the heel of Esau; so he called his name Jacob...The lads grew up and Esau became one who knows hunting, a man of the field but Jacob was a wholesome man, abiding in tents. Isaac loved Esau for he ate of his venison, but Rebecca loved Jacob. Genesis 25:24-28 The Great Matriarch Rebecca and her twin sons, is a story of contrasting elements in all of us----we are Spirit (Issac) and we are of Genetically Modified Animal forms (Esau). There is a clash among these two, these twins, Mothered by "The Great Mother Binah. In the Form of Mother Earth---Esau (animal Personality) and the other aspect of the All Mother- Mother of Intellectual form, the Solar Womb of the Soul Personality (spirit-Is Intellect of Father). Esau is in essence, the "Survival Mind" of the animal and Issac is the "inner-Sun"--enlightenment of Spirit. This may look like a form of competition as each one is competing for His First Born rights--but it is a 'communion'---where each one is joined at birth to "expand and liberate" both body and Soul. If you read on in the book of Genesis, you will see that Isaac (the father of the twins) love Esau and was to give him the first born blessing while Rebecca loved Jacob and set up an elaborate scheme to get the first born blessing for Jacob. The battle between the animal-unconscious and our solar-conscious, is well known in us all---where the animal instinctively sees threats (enemies) the Solar mind sees "another as myself" and acts with compassion. We all feel that struggle in our "heads" and " hearts" believing that somehow they are separates and in conflict, when in reality they are different perspectives produced by different worlds. The Body is Loved into Being, and the Spirit is Love of Being-----Love is the joining factor here! Knowing that the Qabalah is about " motion and form" of Supreme Being and Supreme Entity and how the Union of seemingly opposites makes the "flow" from first motion-Kether- into the forms of Malkuth possible. Hence, the Hebrew Story of the Letter Resh shows us a deeper understanding of ourselves. Soul is the Beloved of Spirit; Physical Body is the beloved of the Soul. Therefore, the greatest mistake of many fundamentalists is to believe that the body is somehow bad and of less value than the Soul. this of course, is not true, as the Divine Creative creates only what it wants. ![]() The Collective Intelligence of the Sun also unites all the component parts of the Personality, discovered on the lower paths of the Tree of Life, and infuses them with the dual action of the Sun, i.e. light and warmth, which are considered intellectual qualities! The path of the Sun is the highest level of human intellect (light and warmth=enlightenment). Resh means head which is consistent with this thought of high human intellect. This high intellect is a combination of animal intellect and Soul (solar) intellect---not as some would have you believe--a divorcing of the two! The Sun basically is the Intellect acting on the dualities of the human condition, consciousness (electricity) and its human vehicle (power tool). This is the point of connection of the human intellect with the higher intellect of solar conscious [The Greater Life]. The Sun is also the Son who carries on the work of the Father (Chokmah) which is motion and the Body is Form of the Mother (Binah). As adepts of the Qabalah, we know we are the Union of Hermes-Aphrodite (hermaphrodites) who give birth to Solar-Body unions .... of course you'll have to do more studying to see this easily. These two Children of the Divine Androgyny, motion (solar=conscious) and form (matter-consciousness) are both loved and their Greatest Value is in their Union of Equilibrium (Beauty). These children are represented as the dancing twins who move hand in hand throughout creation (motion and form). Be as the Children---is enlightenment. Let your Spirit supply the motion of your Form---Love must Power the Body-power tool! Therefore the Tarot- Key 19- THE SUN, is the The Principle of Collaboration, Teamwork, and Partnership. ![]() "Give forth thy light to all without doubt; the clouds and shadows are no matter for thee. Make Speech and Silence, Energy and Stillness, twin forms of thy play.-Crowley The understanding of Resh requires the knowledge of Love and the Love of Being---to be twins of expanding and liberating life! Knowledge is not "thought", it is KNOWN. Hence, this Love must come from the "Heart", the central "sun" of the body; a love known but not thought of, while the intellect of the body--the Head--must move as loving thought in action, rather than as animal reaction! In other words Knowledge of Union, rather than the survival thoughts of division! The Sun, as a Star and a astrological sign, radiates all Life Motion and as the symbol for "Son of god" knows that"All that I see is another way to be me", for is not everything from stars? This wonder of oneness is the Knowledge of the heart, ask any child who hasn't been indoctrinated in "good-bad" (enemy creation), they are in union with all around them and eyes of Wonder look at all things; Eyes that aren't veiled by fear which is indeed "thoughts that be-devil us"! Trusting the Spirit that made you. Knowing that you have no enemies for even death exists for the sustainability of organic matter and a support for life. A sustainability, that as a Spirit/Soul Personality---you can always have another way to be a discerning self conscious. Survival-Thought is the beast that deceives us---knowledge is our Divine Inheritance and is known as "intuition" which is the thoughtlessness of knowing. Creator has joined with creation in order to be a sensual God---i.e. intimate with creation. A tough idea to get, but once gotten-never forgotten! The Thoth Tarot- The Sun represents the Life Force that awaits expression within us all. The twins dancing on the green mountain of creation, symbolize the inner dance of male (electric) and female (magnetic) energy that is dancing in us all. The dancing gods of Shakti (Goddess) and Shiva (God) that are the rhythm of Life's heart beat. All the signs of the zodiac that encompass the Sun, show that we bring exuberance and consistency to the dance of two (one on one relationships) as well as to group or organizational settings. ![]() According to Aleister Crowley, The Sun card represents The Lord of Light, Heru-ra-ha , in his manifestation to the human race as the Sun, spiritual, moral and physical. The Lord of light is also the Lord of the New Aeon of Horus; Horus being the proposed self-conscious state of the New 22nd century Human. The Energy -Conscious State of Horus is the State of Enlightenment that is often sought by the adept and neophyte alike. It is the awakening of the "sleeping" chromosomes of Alien races, that is done by the Soul/Psyche (The Real Person) who claims its body back from the definitions of Rulers. Therefore, the new Aeon has for its purpose, the complete emancipation of the human race from the indoctrination of intransigent prejudicial thought forced upon them by enforcement of rule and doctrine-made-morality since about 25,000 BCE. We know from history, that when those who had made the transition from indoctrinated morality to enlightenment, they have been ill received by Society and persecuted for displaying the Life, Liberty and Love of the "Solar Self", i.e., the Soul. Hence, The New Aeon, represents a social change from Social enslavement to the Life, Liberty and Love of the emancipated Spirit. ![]() ![]() ![]() This formula of the Rose and Cross has expanded into the complete union of terrestrial and celestial communion in human kind which is shown by the Thoth Tarot by the Wall completely encircling the top of the mound. On the Night Sun Tarot, it is shown by the outline of the circle and Universal cube. Because of this communion of Solar Creative Fire and Terrestrial intelligent matter, the Spiritual Fire has changed into something "rich and strange", producing "living gods" as the "inner Sun", which is the light of the personality rises just as the physical Sun does in the material world. This is most profound, as the Inner Solar Being,(the Inner Master/Christos/Buddha) is now consciously in operation of the physical body as both Master and Masterpiece in energy conscious union. ![]() What cannot be overstated, for the initiate, experiencing the Path of Resh, is very profound as it is the introduction to the inner sun, which is the light of the original personality, as the outer sun is the light of the physical world. What one tends to forget, while experiencing the warmth and light of this inner sun, one's self-conscious cannot look directly into this Solar intelligence, anymore than they can at the physical sun, without suffering a type of damage. As shown by The Tower Card; equilibrium will be reached by "burning away" what is unworthy of the Higher Personality. The Tree of Life does describe, by its pattern, a degree of separation, as Sephiroth, but The Paths (Major Arcane Tarot Keys) show us they are all connected and that the perception of separation is to expedite understanding of a dimension of conscious energy. Perception, is noted for its wide variations from one organism to another, so it is up to each individual student to literally create their own Qabalah. The Path of Resh is crucial in developing the individual Qabalah. Upon journeying this Path of The Collective Intelligence, one will receive the imprint and acceptance of "Spirit guides", or those beings who direct the inner learning experience of the student. On The Path of Resh (head) the candidacy for Tiphareth (Beauty), The Conscious of the Son (Sun), and /or Higher Self, is begun. Therefore, The Path leading into Hod-Splendor, is where inner discoveries are made as the Inner Teachers ("other Personas" of the Collective Soul Intelligence) exert their influence on the material world, clarifying the relationship between mind and body. ![]() ![]() ![]() The Fiery Spirit or Spiral Energy of Masculine and the Magnetic =Formative Sophia (Goddess of Wisdom) feminine side. Their arms cross or they hold hands to represent the Union of these Divine States of Intellect and Energy (in Tantric Image they would be in "Sexual Union") that must be established to"Collect" all the necessary Forces in order to establish a Intellectual and living Being. The Path of Resh, is intellectual, and THE SUN represents the highest form of human intellect (The Real Person) which is both a balance of Masculine and Feminine conscious energy. So in a physical representation, when both the Left and Right side of the brain are in equilibrium with the Solar Forces (Kundalini) within the body, we are at our most advanced state of Personality. This is a profound union of the Personality with the Inner Sun where there is a deep physical inner feeling of Warmth and Light not unlike the external feeling of warmth and light a sun bather may experience. Also, like the physical sun, you cannot look directly into the "inner sun" with out suffering "damage", for it will burn away the dross. Reminding us of the opposites of the Sun, that it is both the harbinger of fertility and barrenness which is the Double Letter meaning of the Hebrew letter- Resh. ![]() Remember "God creates what God wants!" This is a Hermaphroditic path, where we return to the innocence of a child and as we travel upwards this Path of Resh, our Personality grows younger, innocent and sees with Wonder rather than the critically perverted eyes of the good and bad Pavlovian domesticated and divided-personality of the Adult. We begin seeing What God Sees! Tiphareth is the Central Sun (Son) of the physical microcosm and connects us to the Dark Sun (limitless light-Father) of the Macrocosm and the Path of Resh begins us on the Journey to Central Sun-of God, within. There is much to study about this card, Cain an Able ( bareness and fertility), the Dragon-faced-Men, Sons of Seth, Daughters of Seth and the Christ who Didymos Judas Thomas in the Gnostic Gospels quoted as saying"....I am the honeymoon suite." and much more!
