The Tarot of Eli

The Qabalistic Thoth Tarot, Eight of Swords: Interference:

Mental interference is signified here. This is a sign of an active but undisciplined mind that dashes about between thoughts and is unable to complete anything of significance. Projects lie about half done, as confusion is rampant about what is most important and what is not.  In Eastern philosophy this is called the Neti-Neti mind (translates to ; Not this-Not that). This card represents the over analytical, non-trusting mind where survival thinking has become the foundation of creative thought brought on by self-doubt. This card says,"Stop! Now is the time to wait rather than act."

Running from thought to thought not trusting your opinion of which is best or more certain of creating your survival dreams, accomplishes only creative mental interference and nothing cam be completed. Our survival thinking, is the foundation of the Subconscious mind/The Mind of Nature. We are of the Supernal Mind, Souls, the Immortal inheritors of mortality.  The Shadow Series Tarot deals with the "mental nightmares of the animal mind, whose idea of knowledge is believing everything it thinks.  The Mortal Mind, which is a composite of all the individual cells in the human body, serves well the DNA, but not the True Psyche of Wisdom (Chokma) which requires discerning thought.  In the Mortal Mind, do unto others before they can eat you, is most important. In the Supernal, All is another way of being me, doing unto others as you would have done to yourself, is simply, treating your "selves" well. Thereby, learning what enhances and liberates the "living". Creation of Self, is what Self Awareness is all about in the Supernal.

True Mental happiness comes from a state of I AM, not from a state of "I Am not...". It is time to stop seeking and focus on your inner bliss. Declaring," I Am the happiness that I am seeking", stops the seeking of happiness that often interferes with our focused creative motion. In the pursuit of happiness, we have almost destroyed the World and continuation of such ignorance will destroy it!

"Happiness built me so it could be me." is a realization that has personally changed my life---it's time to focus on this fact as you.God doesn't build what God doesn't want!

The Thoth card helps us see that it is not what we seek that makes us happy; it is the being of our inner-self joy that is important. Again the Tarot aids us in the spiritual axiom," Above all things, know thyself."

When the Thoth card is thrown it points to the astrological aspect of Jupiter in Gemini; Jupiter being the planet of  growth and expansion and when linked with Gemini this union requires us to weight different possibilities (Gemini is is the sign of the "twins").

The Thoth-THE EIGHT OF SWORDS- Interference, is also called  The Lord of Shortened Force.
Again, this card is attributed to Jupiter in Gemini, and Jupiter's natural expansiveness is in determent in Gemini, as the duality of Gemini affects Jupiter's positive energy scattering half one way and half the other.
Here, Hod/Splendor, the 8th Sephiroth, is in Yetzirah, the Astral World.
The angels of the Decan are, Vemibael and Yehohel.
Because of the desire to go first one way than the other, the shortened forces of Jupiter are scattered, erratic and unstable. This is indeed an interference when trying to focus one's consciousness on a goal. Yes it can be an intense and positive beginning, but it soon loses momentum in misdirection.
Crowley illustrates this in his 8 of Swords, as two strong and long main swords, being crossed ( as in Crossed-up) by six short swords of different designs representing scattered thoughts). The shorter swords also imply: shortened force, narrowness and restriction. There is a definite lack of persistence in intellectual matters and of contest. Jupiter's natural good fortune still attends even the weakest of efforts, yet the will is constantly thwarted by accidental interference.

The Shadow Tarot, 8 of the Dark Energy at the Event Horizon/Gusion,
is the Subconscious mind representation and also means interference and realization.
Since the subconscious is the vessel of the "animal mind collective of the individual body cells", it is a dark place of fear based reality. Here all the animal fears of being eaten, and of not eating, are based.  Knowledge in this mind state, is "believing in all that you think". Knowledge in the Higher Psyche of your Soul is based on discernment and experimentation, believing in all that you think is not even a thought here. Thought is the first material of creation and therefore, an unfinished product that must be sanded, purified, and "cut to fit" before it is even considered building material for  manifestation. Therefore, The Shadow Tarot is a good way to focus your Immortal Spiritual Intelligence on the  Mortal-Animal Mind, so that you can expand it and liberate it from its fear of Vulnerability.

Gusion
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia; In demonologyGusion is a strong Great Duke of Hell, and rules over forty (forty-five according to other authors) legions of demons. He tells all past, present and future things, shows the meaning of all questions that are asked to him, reconciles friends, and gives honour and dignity.
He is depicted as a baboon or according to some, in the form of a Cynocephalus (Xenophilus). Other spellings: Gusayn, Gusoin, Gusoyn. He is mentioned in The Lesser Key of SolomonSee also[edit]Occult portal

Thoth is the Egyptian God of Communication and Words. The God of Knowledge. Cynocephalus/Gusion, is the ape figure at his Ibis headed figures feet.
Cynocephalus represents words and their playful deception. For words are not the "truth" of anything, for they are not "made manifest" as a living expression of Knowledge.

In the Subconscious, words are reality; a reality that is individually interpreted and therefore, reality to the "person" is different for each and every "person". Words and Thought are not seen as different in the subconscious/animal mind.

To your Higher Mind of the Divine Creative, and the Qabalah, words are not thoughts, but rather Vibrations of energy, sounds that thoughts are created from. Thoughts being the first material of creation, woven from the vibrational strings of the Divine Word. The Ibis makes "sounds" that are not words. The monkey makes words that are sound combinations to form a communication of an idea. However, communication is lacking in "truth", since the receiver of the words spoken, hears only what they think. There is a certain demonic factor here, as trusting words, leads to a personal Hell of confusion and soon distrust. With confusion and distrust as a mind set and/or a perspective, one lives in a hellish place of "wanna be-ism" and is never completed.

The Eight of Swords and The Shadow Tarot 8 of Energy of the Event Horizon implies:
  •   A certain amount of fear of change, of moving out of a binding or restricting situation.
  • The Positive side of this is that change, no matter how resisted, will soon come anyway.
  • The Good Fortune of Jupiter, will show up.
  • What is again implied, is stop wasting time and proceed with change, your scattered efforts will not stop it, only interfere with your wholesome transition.
When these cards are thrown during a reading:
  • Feeling trapped or ashamed, are the beginnings of recognizing the need for change, and moving on ward with your life.
  • The mental dissolution or loss of faith in situations or ideas, is a sure sign of progress beyond the old.
  • The querent is experiencing confusion, and a feeling of being trapped, isolated by oppressive ideas.
  • our perspectives no longer serve your life motion, so new ideas will soon be presented."

This card also represents:

  • Over analyzing every thought to the point of inaction reminding us to stop, slow down and refocus.
  •  In the next 8 weeks or 8 months you will either get the chance to slow down and refocus your thoughts or you will come to an understanding of your own mental interference and refocus.
  • This could also mean that you must desist your uncertain and scattered thoughts about the Gemini people in your life (May 21 to June 21) by simply waiting and not taking any decisive action concerning them.
  • Let go of fear and thoughts will become unconfused and future decisions will become clearer.
  • Too much interference for proper decisions at this time.
