THE TAROT OF ELINetzach, is that green Sephiroth on the lower illustrated Tree of Life, courtesy of the Qabalistic Tarot, text book, by Robert Wang.
Green is the color attributed to Venus, the planet of Netzach. Love, feelings and instinct, the Group Mind, Nature, and the Arts, all radiate from this Sephiroth. The Symbols for Netzach are The Girdle, The Rose, and the Lamp.

Netzach is the first Sephiroth of the Astral triangle and is the first energy intelligence to make up the personality of the individual.

You may remember that I stated that the Personality is made up of the Four Alchemical Elements, each of which are represented by the lower Sephira, in the familiar sequence of Fire, Water, Air and Earth. Netzach is Fire, Hod is Water, Yesod is Air and Malkuth is Earth.
Netzach is the lower form of the fiery Yod of Chokmah that is reflected from Geburah through Tiphareth. This is the formula for Yod Heh Vau Heh, Malkuth being the final Heh, because of the "fall" which is really a condensing or "down sizing" of Self.

In Netzach, normal waking consciousness of the student, must deal with the Astral Triangle and the component parts of the Personality, after all, we are not of the Personality, it is of Our Spiritual Nature!  Personalities are sentient software programs, like Artificial Intelligence, that are created to facilitate the Soul's operation of the body-hardware, and are supplanted in the wet-ware brain to manipulate the physical body properly. However, if your personality was made for you out of the illusions, delusions, and ambitions of "Authority", than you haven't a clue who is operating the body, as you don't know the code and language that went into making the software your body is operating from! Then to make matters more confusing,  the "sentience" that the culturally made software is connected to, is the "Cultural Group Soul", and not the identity of the Original Soul/Psyche that came from the Divine Collective Unconscious. So now most people are bound to the Karma of their Culture rather than working out the karma of individual evolution. You have become a number in the "rabble herd" rather than a master of your own force and form. This was done when you transferred loyalty from yourself to loyalty to the culture (sometime during childhood). Yet again the axiom of Qaballah: "Above all things, Know thyself!" rings true!

The most important part of initiation begins by "lighting the inner lamp" of spiritual consciousness so that one may observe the layers of lies piled high in the subconscious (that your personality is constructed from), removing layer after layer of false you, until the real you shines true. This "Garbage in" is called man-made persona and the "Garbage out" is the dysfunctional action of "seeking yourself" in the eyes of your peers, or of outside authority. You are already God approved----you exist, and your Software for operating the Hardware, was already created by the Higher Self, that is the sentience of your original personality, one may call this Higher Self, "the Soul".

Often, Mystery schools use a set of Tattva exercises as a type of "controlled day dream" (guided meditations), intended to bring the student into direct contact with the subtle Elemental realms immediately underlying the material sphere of sensation. Often, I bring those Elemental realms into sensual manifestation for my students, all of which is necessary to prepare the student for more advance techniques of skrying with Tarot Cards.
It should be understood, that the astral realm beginning with Netzach, is a fluidic, non-solid realm where everything begins in illusion/dream. It is the place, where our Formative consciousness can experiment with image, such as children role-playing, in order to comprehend in a later  more condensed stage of growth, the actual manifestation of being "that". If thought is done with controlled will, this astral experimentation is a boon to any creative endeavor on Earth; if your thoughts are taken as rote, all hell will break loose on earth as you unleash the animal survival mind and its fears of death!

The Astral plane and its denizens, nor your reptile brain (survival mind) are not a Master of your personality! Nor is anything that you contact in the lower or higher realms, i.e. Pleroma! The Astral is a psycho-mailable electromagnetic-substance to create with, not be created by!  Most " Medium-Channels" just channel astral persona's, and live in an illusion of devotional thought, not allowing them to see the delusions.

Let me explain what few wish you to know: A god is a dominate Consciousness on its Plane of Dominion. Every one of the Ten Sephiroth, is a master of its domain, and you are composed of the United cooperation of these energy intelligences we call "Gods, Djinn, Demons, Daemons, Angels etc.", which contribute to the make up the One Self as the "Divine Collective Unconscious". And you're are one better, because you have also composed a body of the physical "god", Top Mammal Predator", ruler of its domain Earth, i.e. the Human body who looks to rule solar systems! So, You, are a Great Group of Ten Elder Spiritual Entities, who should be working as One Group Soul of your individual Tree of Life...A One or Wholly Spirit (Spiral electromagnetic entity). The fact that you are not, is because you've been mentally separated from the reality of your divinity! This was done by the manipulation of your imagination,(auto-suggestion and pleasure/pain training) by "The few who wish to rule the many". This auto-suggestion is now Electronically media run to such an extent that it seems futile to resist it!
However, the Astrals are the beginning of formation, on earth, each astral dimension a degree less in condensation than the next (As seen in the Human Aura and/or God-Mind Aura). The Astral substance is stimulated by focused emotional thought, and becomes manifest through the manipulations of the thoughts of the image creator (the imagination-your God-Psyche).  Therefore, by giving you "nightmare" stories of how bad your natural body is, those who seek authority over your body, have supplied you with images of yourself that devalued the spirit and body by divisionism, racism, cultural enemy propaganda, and theology.  Therefore by the illusion of peer pressure, you the Master of this masterpiece, forgot it is a "god-body" (Image of God) of its domain!
We all must return consciously to the Astral and clean up our software, by facing and deconstructing all the false identities that make up our consciousness!

When we are dealing with Netzach, we are dealing with understanding a particularly difficult State of energy conscious . Netzach is where both the Macrocosm and Microcosm meet. Thus we are dealing with the understanding of the entire race patterns of human kind, and patterns of individual persona and that of the Greater Self. But if that isn't enough, we must understand that this dichotomy is in itself an illusion! For the Greater Self, the Divine Creative, see's itself as you! Here we have the Brahma (Indian God of Creation) dreaming its you!

By acknowledging yourself as the "Divine Child" of the Divine Creative, through ritual, divination, and meditation you will awakened Brahma to your presence, who then awakens the "Inner Krishna".  As seen in the below illustration of Lord Brahma praying to Lord Krishna, your "inner Krishna" will begin to hear the "Prayers" of the Divine Creative and become lucid in its dream of being you, and therefore willingly assist you in all your worthy endeavors. Therefore the Cultural group soul and its minions who enforce the "ruler's definitions", will itself loose all contact with you, freeing you to be what your "inner self" created you to be.
The Thoth Seven Of Wands: Valor:
tarot card, represents the unbalancing of a previous spiritual victory, by the dynamic flow of transformational energy all around
us.

Things change. Just when we thought we were victorious over the emotional, spiritual and physical resistance to our vision some issues change and we have to exercise bravery, and valor to not doubt ourselves or our vision and therefore procure it.

This departure from balance tends to direct us to loss of confidence; However, if we hold to our vision and trust our inner integrity, we shall still achieve our goal. This "stick-too-iveness" is shown astrologically, as Mars is in Leo and influences this card. Mars represents a dynamic vitality, an agitation of motion while Leo represents creativity and/or creative expression, suggesting that you don't try to stop the new motion in your life but instead become creative in channeling it, uncompromisingly, towards your vision. All of this dynamic vitality and agitation of motions is represented by the wands on the Thoth Card.
  1. The central wand is the inner self trust gained by experience.
  2. The lotus wand  represents the unfolding of your vision if you show the valor necessary to carry on and not be deterred by conflict.
  3. The Ibis headed wands represent the new directions that allow you to move in new regenerative ways that you value. By showing valor in the face of adversity, you will be able to see things more clearly and be able to honor your vision and creativity which is represented by;
  4.  The winged Eye of Horus wands (a symbol of the All Seeing Eye).

Netzach, the Seventh Sephiroth, is Love, as relating to the often misunderstood concept of "God is Love." This Misunderstanding has to do with the very nature of the gods themselves. In the Mysteries, it is said that, "The Gods are the Creations of the Created...the Gods are the emanations of the Group Mind of Races, they are not emanations of Eheieh, the One and the Eternal." {Quoted from the: Qabalisitc Tarot, by Robert Wang, page 100)
In essence, this reference to the Group Mind, that the Gods are of Netzach- Victory. Graphically, the diagram of the sign of Venus superimposed over the Tree of Life, represents this concept.
This should open your eyes to your power, as The living Suns ( Sons and Daughters) of the One Eheieh-God. You have the power to  form potent forces into your own image, to serve your needs! Because your Personality begins in the Realm of the Gods, you are a Personal God in your own right!
Look, your human body is the Animal God of Earth. Every single living creature on earth, depends on what you do! If you decide they no longer can serve you----------you destroy them. If in your ignorance, you are not responsible for your actions, your irresponsibility alone will annihilate them! Only Gods have such power in their domains! In the Qaballah, you are composed of 10 Gods, in an orgy of cooperation. You are Adam Kadmon, the entire Tree of Life. You are a God on every plane of intelligent energy, by inheritance, sure. But that doesn't make the wealth less!

To make the "Above as the Below", i.e. the Great Work,  is to realized yourself as sole owner and ruler of your own Animal god, and claim it as your "Sacred Place" in Time. You are infinite Mind Space, within your Divine Unconscious, are all the dreams of Being.  With your conscious presence, Life is the Lucid Dream of God!  Force of Will and Time is the stuff you create forms from, by mixing beginning and end- time- in a cauldron of Thoughts, (Mind) heated by the vibrations of Lust/Passion, and shaped by Will-to-Form,  the greater-you transforms the illusion of being into a sensual reality. This, of course, is a simplistic representation, that is why the Tree of Life is so important to Know. The Tree of Life represents the complexity of  Force and Form and how this Created Living Universe is made manifest! By knowing yourself, you can then realized the original data you set aside in down-sizing and know how to proceed with the Great Work of I AM ME!
WE ARE THE MANY AND THE ONE.  Everything I see, is another way to be Me!

The Seven of Wands, Valor (Lord of Valor) is, as previously stated, attributed to Mars in Leo. The Angels of this Decan are: Mahashiah and Lelahel.  Here, we have the influence of Netzach in the World of Pure Spirit (Atziluth).
Mars in Leo not only promotes courage and strength, but also a certainty of a fiery clash. However, victory in this fray is not certain.
Thus, Crowley, using the Three Adept Wands of the Golden Dawn, crosses them with a crude fiery club, suggesting a disorganized and disordered battle...one of uncertain results. In short, the army is in disarray, a loss of confidence is implied and only individual valor will save the day!
The Shadow Tarot, 7 of Primordial Fire/Ipos, also is about valor, spiritual realization, and inspiration. However, it represents this in a round about way by using Christian Demonology as the beneficial entity of these powers instead of the Sephirotic Entity Netzack.

Ipos is categorized as the 22nd spirit, in order as Solomon bound them, and is an "Earl and Mighty Prince of Hell". All of which are morbid delusions of the celibate and enslaved monk psyche who hated, rightfully or otherwise, Earls, Dukes, Barons, Kings and Women. But be that as it may, Ipos is said to give one the power to learn the truth of all things and to become witty and bold.
Ipos is reported to appear as the illustration of Statuary depicts. Again, no knowledge of anatomy or how it works is shown here.
But it is fun, and many prefer to think they have master-control over "horrible beings", thereby proving their power, which greatly inflates the fear based "flabby ego".
Those who are magi, know that we are already, by Declaration of the Divine Creative, "Masters of All that we see"; yes this means all of us, an not just those who wish to rule everyone else, in a delusional vision to avoid discomfort.

I recommend being the Great Daemon of Chaos, master of entropy, that you really are, therefore freeing the limits of matter for Forcing greater Form! (See past blogs). That takes work, and a greater knowledge of self, not drugs or superstitious fantasies.

For the lazy of brain, it is just more fun to dance in the neurosis of fear of death and drugging away the child fear of pain, thereby making believe you've conquered fear of pain and death by chemical desensitizing and imagining fearful images that bow to your needs.

However, in this Universe, you are the microcosm of the Macrocosmic self, therefore you are the Lords and Ladies of the Greater Self. Plus, your physical body is a pharmacopeia of exotic chemistry that can be released by "raising the Kundalini", requiring ritual meditations, knowledge of  metaphysics, focused will and determination.

So by all means, have fun being an Astral creative, and create " psycho-astral engines to assist you" (for that is what all these gods, goddesses and angels and demons are) but do not delude yourself that what you create, be it beautiful or monstrous, is in anyway your master; for in reality, it is your pleasure to be thrilled by danger or beauty (it is well known that witnessing horrible dangerous death stimulates sexual juices and that beauty is often dangerous).  Besides, psycho-astral engines aid your performance as a Divine Creative Child/Daemon/Djinn;  born of chaos, as a "free will".

Never forget we are Dragons, "the children of the Morning Star", without the silly wings, horns, tails, and fiery indigestion. Out fire is the inner fire of the Stars, our Horns are the "Green man" of Earth, our Wings are the Ships of the Annunaki (Nommo) and our creative Imagination that invents technology and frees us from the Ground; in the Seas, we are greater than the whale and as playful a pack of wolves as any porpoise pod. The T-Rex, in all its viscous glory, could not meet the horrible destructiveness of our weapons.  The Planet cannot give us boundaries, for we devour them and dance on the Moon. We are the Divine Creative's "out-side-the-law children" who by observation, change the very actions of electrons freeing them from the laws of wave or particle and each, seeing their own reality. I AM ME!

When the Seven of Wands-Valor, or The Shadow Tarot 7 of Primordial Fire/Ipos is thrown during a reading, it implies that the querent;
  •  More confidence is needed to ensure victory.
  • The Querent's self-responsibility must be taken up as their standard, and they must stand alone, trusting their-self to handle the most difficult of situations.
  • Is unsure of ideas, and must summon personal bravery and courage to instigate them.
  • Your mettle is being tested, and only the inner courage of spirit has the necessary acceleration to push you through the line of resistance.
  • This card also shows how valuable you are to spirit, for if you were "weak" spirit wouldn't be testing your mettle.
  • Spirit knows your strength, and only the doubting thoughts trained into you by "others" is slowing your performance as a courageous creator.
  • Here Spirit says,"If you wish to speak to me, you must stand! For I'll not kneel to your imagined weakness!"
  • That in the next 7 weeks or 7 months it is important that you have the courage and valor to stay with what you value, especially with the Leo people in your life ( July 21 to August 21).
  • It is important that you stay by what you value concerning work, career and/or creative expression by not compromising or settling for less. Stick to your guns-so to speak.
  • Trust yourself and your valued experiences.

THE TAROT OF ELIThe Thoth-8 of Wands: Swiftness is the card representing high velocity energy. This card shows that light has been turned into the electrical rays  that sustain  and constitute matter; an energy that has been called Prana and/or spiritual/sexual energy.

The 8 of Wands Astrological symbol is Mercury in Sagittarius; Mercury is the planet that represents communication and Sagittarius is the astrological sign associated with swiftness and directness.  The square represents blocks or obstacles both internal or external that are in the way of direct and swift communication. The diamond is the transformational electrical  form that happens when you communicate swiftly and directly. By taking swift and direct action we can transform any obstacle into a jewel of communication; turning a negative into a positive by positive action. Where as, the opposite of this card is  covert communication and procrastination that form the blocks to direct and positive communication.
[From the Qabalistic Tarot by Robert Wang: page 104]
"The beams of Geburah and Tiphareth meet in Hod and thence arises in Hod a brilliant pure and flashing orange tawny.  And the Sphere of its Operation is that of Kochab, the stellar light, bestowing elegance, swiftness, scientific knowledge and art, and constancy of speech, and it ruleth the sphere of the action of the planet Mercury.  And Elohim Tzabaoth is also a God of Hosts and Armies, of Mercy and Agreement, of Praise and Honor, ruling the Universe in Wisdom and Harmony.  And its Archangel is Michael, the Prince of Splendor and of Wisdom, and the Name of its order of Angels is Beni Elohim, or Sons of the  God, who are also called the Order of Archangels.

Basically, Sephiroth- #8 - Hod/Splendor is the concrete mind and is the sphere of Mercury. Thus to Hod are attributed all that is intellectual and systematized, such as the magical arts, literature, science and commerce.  As a Qabalist, it is the Sphere of Conscious energy, that I speak and write from.

The color orange is also the Color of Mental ambition, passion mixed with intellect. When considering Hod, we must also consider Netzach, for at the base of the Pillar of Form ( pillar of Severity), beneath Binah, Hod (splendor) resides.  And at the base of the Pillar of Force (pillar of Mercy), beneath Chokma, resides Netzack (Victory). Both linked together by the Path of the Tower.

The Same balance of Force and Form that is seen in the Supernal Triangle, is seen between these Two Sephiroth.  But there is a difference is this lower pattern of Force and Form as it is expressible in conceptualized forms and understood by our reasoning minds. There are no objects to examine in the Supernal. For Chokma is the "idea of outpouring Force" and Binah is "the idea of Form that restricts force"; such terminology is most subjective and displaying no object.
With the union of Hod and Netzach, we are now dealing with concepts that can immediately be understood in terms of individual Personality construction and architecture; in other words, objectively.

In the human personality the Fire of Netzach is animal intuition and the Water of Hod is the concrete personal and rational mind.

The Book of Thoth, the Ibis headed Egyptian God of Knowledge and writing, is another name for the Tarot and is refereed to Hod.

To reiterate, Thoth is an Egyptian name, who is Hermes in Greek and Mercury in Roman language. Each of these are presented in  each cultural mythology as messengers, a patron of teaching and learning; teacher of the Mysteries.  All language is the messenger of knowledge, a carrier of messages and relate to Hod. Words of Power, are a Magus tool, and the well practice instrument of any practitioner of the Mysteries. The "movement with in the Motion" of words, may be subjective, but that doesn't affect its power to transform the listening object!

Names and Versicle  relate to Hod, but without the fiery passion of Netzach, they are dull and empty. The effect of "feelings" in a word are obvious, either by saying "I love you" in a dull tone or "I love You" with focused passion, this effects the listener's inner world.
To say  phrases with monotones of logic, makes them ineffectual, and dead.

The Inner Word is a World of Vibration that only the intense energy of Netzach can reach. So power speakers, know to bring the dynamic energy of Netzach to the environment through "living' words.  Many fail at ritual, because they chant by wrote and not by the dynamics of Vital Force (Sexual energy). As Robert Wang states. Those who approach the esoteric studies with great vitality and enthusiasm but lack the discipline of Hod are wasting their time. And those who fail to bring the intuition of Netzach to bear on the many words written about the inner sciences will quickly decide that the "Hermetic Mysteries" are pedantic and lifeless."

The Qaballah, and Qabalistic Tarot, name many attributes of the One, each of which requires a different learning experience (Paths) to "pronounce" the God name.  Thus, the names of the system are of Hod, but the beginning of the system to properly use the words is in Netzach whose Divine Creative encompasses the whole Tree of Life.

There is a reason why the Hermaphrodite (Hermaphroditus, God of the Greeks), is the magical image of Hod. The reasoning behind this, comes from the fact that form requires force in restriction; force is symbolize as Phallic, and form is symbolized as Ovum, or Womb.

Thus, in Hod are the dynamic qualities of the force of Netzach, which are limited in order that they can be dealt with through our normal process of thought. We know these limits as the Form of both language and visual image. Both are comprehensible symbols agreed upon by societies for the transmission of messages. Sure, language and images are both artificial and have no intrinsic qualities of their own, they are merely carriers of idea, neutral in themselves but the "feelings" of Netzach, our inner-passion, makes them seem alive.

The symbol for Hod is not only Names and vesicles, but also the Apron,(Such as the illustration of a Scottish Free Mason apron) which also refers  to the Moon, as does Thoth himself in one aspect.  Being a traditional Masonic symbol, the Apron symbolizes the builder  who is the craftsman of the Mysteries, and when worn, covers the sexual organs attributed to Yesod. Those who understand Yesod, see the extent to which the manipulation of sexual energy is the foundation of all practical work. This sex energy is shown in the Thoth Deck 8 of Wands, Swiftness, as electric arrows.

However, these electric arrows of energy sustain and constitute the Material Wold representing the subtle energy of the Fiery Father, bringing down from Chokmah (wisdom), the message of the Original Will.

The Eight of Wands  illustrates the geometrical pattern of the restored Universe (constantly restored by this Electric Fire). The rainbow above the double pyramid of the 8 of Wands, depicts the division of pure light into seven color  rays of the light spectrum that exhibit interplay and correlation of the electromagnetic spectrum.  We are visualizing energy of high velocity; light speed.
Here, electric energy, because of the principles of Hod,  (making concrete that which is subjective), has  created intelligible geometrical form.

When in returning our consciousness to the God head, from its material condition, Hod becomes the primary point of conceptual transfer.  Here, in Hod, the Masters contact their chosen disciples, clothing themselves in  forms comprehensible to the human mind; presenting to the student the formal tools of the Hermetic path. The Sephiroth Netzach is the presentation point of the Orphic Path, and the Middle Pillar is the Devotional Path.
Now the initiate knows that by projecting oneself into any Sephiroth, by meditative means, immerses the student in the Qualities of that Energy Consciousness. But we use the Swift and electric forces of Hod, by approaching things intellectual or by just studying the Mysteries. All The Sephiroth, on the Tree of Life, are integral parts of Our Whole Self, in a constant state of dynamic activity. The Principle of Practical Qaballah is that we turn our conscious observation toward a particular aspect of ourselves, and thereby gain access to the corresponding part of the Universal Mind.
What is of note, the God Mercury is also known as the god of deceit and trickery and words are also vessels of these vices. This suggest the aspect of "adaptability" required for esoteric work which is conferred by the Hod Energy. The student of Qabalah, knows that the whole Astral realm seeks to deceive but this deception is because of our perceptual vulnerability when viewing astral images. Our human minds are particularly susceptible to perceptual folly, in the alternatively  bright and murky  Sephiroth of Yesod.  And it is in Hod that we begin to understand the mechanisms of our perceptions.

Again, the eights of Qabalistic Tarot are of Hod, here the eights generally show solitary success in the matter for the time being, but not leading to much result-- apart from the thing itself.
The Shadow Tarot 8 of Primordial Fire/Crocell uses an apron like sigil and stresses "swiftness and call to action". Using demons instead of angels (both of which often swap places in the Ancient religions), Crocell is yet another "Great and strong Duke of Hell." He is the 49th Spirit in the order that Solomon bound the spirits and appears as an Angel and speaks mystically of many hidden things and/or the occult.
One uses the sigil /Card of Crocell to summon the Angel, for the skills in the Arts and Sciences and to disclose the whereabouts of natural thermal springs.

When the Eight of Wands-Swiftness, or The Shadow Tarot Eight of Primordial Fire/Crocell, is thrown during a reading, it implies:
  • Haste, swift acceleration meaning that the querent's ideas will  very soon be in Physical existence and/or easily expressed in words.
  • This indicates a high energy period in which to initiate change, as in, a fast movement for spiritual growth.
  • Time to put on Mercury's winged sandals, and move rapidly along the lightning Path towards Greater Self Awareness.
  • A rapid descent of power to examine the self identity, and thus expand it's perspectives.
  • An expedient creating of possibilities, especially in the Arts and Sciences.
  • A reminder to facilitate action and direct communication within the next 8 weeks or 8 months in order to eliminate procrastination and covert communication.
  • The eight banded rainbow, symbolizes completeness in communication and action should be achieved in the next 8 weeks or 8 months and that this can only be achieved without prevarication.
  • As things come up, the querent is advised to take swift action and directly communicate to important people in their life. This maybe especially relevant to Sagittarius in their lives (November 21 to December 21).
Thank you for your interest, comments and supportive donations.
May you live long and prosper!

THE TAROT OF ELITHE THOTH QABALISTIC TAROT-EIGHT OF WANDS: STRENGTH.

Astrologically this card is Moon in Sagittarius, the Lunar powers of reflection and illusion acquire  great strength in Sagittarius which is a double sided coin.
This means that successes are accompanied by strife and apprehension.
Qabalistically, this card represents  Yesod (Foundation) in Atziluth (The World of Pure Spirit) . Now the world of Pure Spirit is Pure Energy Conscious, a Purity of Mind that isn't known to harbor empathy. It is the Great Strength of Will which can drive a body mercilessly. Great Passions at the expense of the physical can happen in this state of Mind but recovery from any illness rendered is assured.
The Divination meaning of this card is great strength, power, recovery from sickness.
The Thoth 9 of Wands represents Spiritual Power (Spiraling Energy) , potency, force and internal strength----A  powerful flow of Serpentine Force and/or Kundalini (Sex force) that drives the Great Will To Be of the Universal Unconscious. This is the same force felt by a student when learning from a Master Teacher who Channels directly from Kether (Solar Crown on the Middle Energy pillar, connected to the Moon-Binah who is Goddess Mother) depicted on this card as the crowning sun. The Student may become excited molecularity as well as mentally, and may have to "ground" their energetic excitement before they can either eat or sleep. This forces overcomes any physical resistance to motion  and thus if ill directed can have negative results.  Either way, the querent will be arriving at peak experience in 9days, 9weeks or 9 months depending on the Strength being channeled which is determined by the surrounding cards in the reading.

Spiritual energy is the Primary "One" so it is strong and aggressive and delays are over as swift progress is being made. Because of the Sun and Moon flow,  this card is about Great Strength in Union. When the God and Goddess dance in your Soul (Inner Self) "All things great and small are created", but if you lean too far towards imbalance, where the electric ( Will to Force-Male) and the Electric (Magnetic Will to form-Female) are not dancing in the same rhythm, all emotional hell could be breaking loose, so this card also advises us to stop, take a few deep breaths, and focus before releasing the Power of Spiritual Will! Therefore Spiritual Will involves the Spiral Dance of the Communion of Goddess/God; Electric and Magnetic  forces intertwined and is a weaving of Power that roars in the passion of "Thy Will Be Done!".

I have often Channeled this Dance of Power in Tantra Magick Ritual, and I know from personal experience, that such Great Strength, as in any powerful flow of energy, leaves behind a residue of heat and if you are a wide open channel, a lot of heat or "The burning" is experienced on the emotional, mental, and physical planes! It is best to practice pranic breathing exercises (Prana is a Hindu name for "Life/Sex Force") before ever attempting to invoke the Shakti-Shiva Dance of Creation! But for the untrained individual this is a Strength of Will, that may not be optimized, but is unusual and is exciting.

The 9 of Wands, is Yesod in Aziluth; it is The Lord of Great Strength. It's Planet is the Moon and the sign is Sagittarius.
Angels of the Decan are: Yirthiel, and Sahiah.

The 9 of Wands-Strength, is the influence of Yesod in the World of pure spirit.  In Yesod, Lunar powers do acquire great strength in the sign of Sagittarius, but being the Moon, there are two sides to this "coin". Meaning, that successes are usually acquired by strife, apprehension and moments of insecurity.[illustration of Four Worlds, from the book: THE QABALISTIC TAROT, by Robert Wang]

The good health and strength of this card is certain, but it harbors doubt about the later course it may take. It is best to know the aphorism: "Change is Stability", when viewing this card.

The Nines may be considered the best that can be obtained from the type of forces involved, when regarded from a practical-material-mundane standpoint.

The Thoth Deck 9 of Wands, shows 8 background Wands as Arrows (Sagittarius influence) and one Master Arrow in the forefront, sporting a Sun at one end as a driving force, and a Moon at the other end as it's point. This implies that Sagittarius joins the Sun and the Moon, and that the Greatest Strength is the Balance of this coupling flow. The flow of Electric Male and Magnetic Female receptivity. Together, all that is Living Form, is from this flow and reception. When we, as a personality, master both the Male Force and the Female force within,it is called a "Oneness" and it reveals all the 4 Worlds in a communion of the Sun (Father) and the Moon (Mother) that never ceases. The Tenfold flames of the card, imply that the Energy of the Solar Logos, is directed down ward into the "reflection of being'.

The Shadow Tarot card, the 9 of Primordial Fire illustrates the sigil of Alocas, the 52nd spirit as Solomon bound them. Alocas is also a "Great Duke of Hell" who appears as a mounted soldier riding a great horse.

According to the GoetiaAlloces or Alocas is a Duke, Great, Mighty and Strong, appearing in the Form of a Soldier (or Warrior) riding upon a Great Horse. His Face is like that of a Lion, very Red, and having Flaming Eyes. His Speech is hoarse and very big. His Office is to teach the Art of Astronomy, and all the Liberal Sciences. He bringeth unto thee Good Familiars; also he ruleth over 36 Legions of Spirits.

The Shadow of Alocas appears as the demon Furfur (see illustration) who when invoked into a triangle, appears as an angel, rather than a stag headed beast.
Honestly I love these nightmare images of the medieval monks, but in truth they are not only impractical, they just aren't there unless you believe or need it to be so. So have fun being "freaky", as it gives our egos a sense of doing something "bad" which thrills the rebellious personality. Again, for me, Alocas or Furfur, shows up as a very beautiful being.
One calls on Alocas to teach the art of astronomy and science. One calls on Furfur, to raise storms, romantic love, and answering questions both arcane and divine. All of which one can get from their own Greater Self by "Climbing the Inner Tree of Life" through skrying, meditation, and the study of Gnosis, both Qabalistic and Rosicrucian.

When the Thoth or Shadow card is thrown during a reading, it implies:
  • Internal strength, recovery from illness, potency and spiritual force.
  •  The is Moon in Yesod, so one may have to defend their ideas, but because of Sagittarius, will not lack the strength to do so.
  • The 9 of Wands also implies that energy is brought back into balance, thus health restored.
  • Creatively, this card implies a peek experience in ability were one sees clearly and accurately, leading to solid creations that will have the strength to endure over time.
  • Here the Energy of the Spirit is rapid , interchanging both electric and magnetic energy, taking whatever action is necessary to restore balance and thus enable the Mind. (Moon is influencing ruler of the Sub-conscious).

The Shadow Series, Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Ten of Wands/Oppression & The Shadow Tarot 10 of Primordial Fire/ Murmur

THE TAROT OF ELIThe Thoth Tarot Ten of Wands- Oppression:
Is a card often hard to interpret, since it is a card of perfidy.

It can mean self-oppressive thoughts that keep oneself from preforming or a tremendous amount of male electric dynamic force, caged/ or vessel held for the process of manifestation.  Much as a Phallus is "caged" by a Yoni, the electric male "caged" energy is guarded by the sacred Tibetan Dorjes (symbols of lightning) whose head is crown by the Khadroma; Tibetan Angels known as the "highest state of female". So we have a paradox here as female magnetic is a caging vessel for the male electric, the purpose being for form manifestation rather than slavery.

The Astrological aspect of this card is Saturn in Sagittarius. Saturn, being the planet of discipline and Sagittarius is the sign of limit setting and a tendency to limit one's boundaries. So in this context, the card is about limiting one's performance, in emotional, spiritual issues, due to self oppression. Therefore the Ten of Wands-Oppression can be a negative since dynamic energy will be expressed and if oppressed it will come out in our weak spots; as pressure builds it will find the cracks in our Armour and flash out as anger, rage and emotional dysfunction. Yet, in a positive note, if held just long enough to empower our "magic images", it enlivens and becomes a tremendous opportunity to create with the Primal Force (Kundalini) of Creation Itself! Here indeed is the Qabalistic Axiom: "God is Sex".

As in all power, we can destroy or expand and liberate ourselves to greater horizons of creativity.

When this card is thrown pay attention! Their maybe a tendency to limit oneself or one's vision by oppressing the urge of creative expansion. This is not recommended for if curbed, this creative expansion will expand our oppressed fears, as it has no where else to go.

No matter which way it goes, the electricity will expand our imagination, from fear to psychosis or from dreaming to actual dynamic manifestation! This "male electric Stuff" is the Vitriol of the Magus. The Dragon force.
The Thoth Deck, the 10 of Wands is a Sephirotic Entity and therefore often called Lord of Oppression; an oppression that is represented by Saturn in Sagittarius.

The Angels attributed to the 10th Sephiroth are Reyayel and Avamel. Angels are really another angle of evolutionary Intelligence; but one we are not subservient to as we are "un-ruled", rather than the rule. The Whole of us (the invisible 99.6% and the Visible.4%) is called the "Divine Child" and or Son/Sun of God. The Angels are servants to the Law, while we can break the law with freedom of choice which means freedom to identify ourselves. Since in terms of singularity the Law is Love we can "fall" out of love by our choices of identity. Thus, angels are ruled by God, mankind is ruled by his/her own freedom to chose, a very painful burden to those who don't rule themselves. Therefore we don't bow down to Angels, we talk to them face to face, as any other part of the family.

The ancient Greeks called us Daemons,(God Men- the Children of Angel and human mating) because by our own perspectives and observation, we can change reality. As far as I know, no other manifestation of the Divine can do that! So ,when the Hierophant says to you,"If you wish to speak to me, you must stand"  expressing not just "tough love", but also a statement of equality. We are made of all the power that ever was or will be...now! But by forgetting ourselves, we forgot our power.

The TEN OF WANDS-Oppression; is Malkuth in Aziluth , and is the influence of Malkuth in the world of  Pure Spirit. Where upon the destructive powers of Saturn (Geburah- 5th Sephira-Severity) are amplified by the swiftness of Sagittarius, leading to selfishly applied material force, and often cruelly so.

The Thoth card depicts a suggestion primal force in the crude club like wands, and the Dorjes (Tibetan spear- like symbols of Thunderbolts) suggests, cruelty, malice, overbearing force and energy. even injustice.

However, one must understand that a certain amount of energy must be oppressed at all times, for form to exist. Energy must be contained in a"Thought Form"  or "magnetic form" before it can become manifest. However, too much oppression of energy-in-motion (emotion) leads too disaster Like electricity, Water or Fire, energy resists this oppression, and will "slip its bonds" at any sign of weakening, sometimes destructively so.
Often the oppression of our own ability to act, is because of our own self-perspective, most of us tend to be more cruel to ourselves than to others, because we often fear ourselves being "wrong" more than others. We can escape this cycle of destruction if we understand that if we notice oppression within ourselves, is often the Mind being told by the Inner Self, to change perspectives. We feel oppression so we can identify it and act fast, for it's better to pop a balloon, than an over pressurized air tank!

Often, by taking things too seriously, we fail to use the power of mirth, that cracks the veneer of perspective, so that we can see beyond our self made prison of "I can't". Truth being, "I Can't", usually means "I am afraid to" and/or "I don't want to", so just say so and release the imprisoned energy that is held back by fear of peer pressure. That's the beautiful side of "freedom of choice".

So remember this, we use "thought" to oppress energy, for creation's sake, including our own, but eventually, because change is the only constant in this energy Universe, that oppression will end in a voluntary or involuntary manner. In us this Energy is called E-Motion (short for energy in motion) an it will move, functionally or dysfunctionally;  Energy will free itself, and move. Those who are freely changing their perspectives, will find that the once feared end we call death, is merely a movement towards another perspective and will experience what the Tibetan's call "reincarnation", which is simply expanding and liberating one's personality by change of perspective. By fearing an end, you have one, by not fearing and end, you consciously experience transformation.

The Shadow Tarot Card, 10 of Primordial Fire/Murmur is also about oppression and/or the sacrifice of the present to the future.
On the Card is the Seal of Murmur, the 54th Spirit in the order that Solomon bound them. Naturally, Murmur is also a Great Duke and Earl of Hell who appears as a warrior riding a gryphon and wearing a ducal crown on his head. According to medieval demonology, his ministers go before him, blowing trumpets.
Murmur (demon)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Seal of Murmur according to the Ars Goetia. In demonologyMurmur is a Great Duke and Earl of Hell, and has thirty legions of demons under his command. He teaches Philosophy, and can oblige the souls of the deceased to appear before the conjurer to answer every desired question. Murmur is depicted as a soldier riding a Vulture or a Griffin, and wearing a ducal crown. Two of his ministers go before him making the sound of trumpets. 'Murmur' in Latin means noise, whisper, murmur, and the sound of the trumpet. Some authors portray him simply as a vulture.Other spelling: Murmus, Murmuur, Murmux.

According to Linda Falorio, the author of The Shadow Tarot, one summons Murmur to acquire perfect knowledge of philosophy, and to constrain souls of the deceased to come forth and answer questions.
However, to the medieval and oppressed Christan Monks that invented demonology, philosophy was evil, and murmurs  and/or whispers, noise and trumpets, was a much despised Royal's, way of doing business.

The Qabalist of today, knows that if you get enough people to observe an image emotionally, you can get a manifested Astral form. These forms depend on observation to exist, and thus are often parasitic; However, the "God's and Goddesses" and/or Angels, were also "Psyche-engines" established to aid the Initiate in achieving goals that required "greater energy" than they possessed at the time.  So by all means, skry the Murmur card, but don't fall for the song and dance of Great Duke or Earle of Hell.  Besides the fact that the Collective Unconscious, dark or otherwise, is not a harbinger of fundamental religions and their propagandist need for enemies and eternal punishment to keep or gather followers bound in chains of fear; Daemons (Greek) are "God-Men" as are Hu-Man beings; [Hu is Mandarin/Chinese for "God" and Man, comes from the Hindu word, Manas, which means- mind]. We therefore are of the manifested Mind of god, which is Imagination, and therefore are an "image of the Divine Creative" and can stand above the need for fearful demons of the superstitious survival animal mind. Besides we are Beautiful Monsters, made of "Angels and Animal" DNA, whose godlike freedom of choice coupled with the Powerful Imagination of the Divine Image-maker, makes us the most fearful of all Daemons. We, as demons have not, often practiced genocide, if you need historical proof. Fundamental religions have often practiced torture, genocide, misogynistic ritual burnings, etc. to keep the "populace" in line and keep woman from power. Nothing could be more demonic.

Then again, the only real way to acquire"perfect knowledge of philosophy", is to live it by creating error and correcting it, thus becoming wise. Knowledge given to anyone, is without wisdom because one thinks they "know it all" and are unable to see their mistakes nor know how to correct them.

When the Ten of Wands-Oppression or The Shadow Tarot 10 of Primordial Fire/Murmur is thrown the Querent will be experiencing:
  •  In the next 10 weeks or 10 months, there will be a tendency to hold yourself back or restrict yourself  so pay attention and not allow this to happen.
  • Challenge your oppressive fears and "get over yourself and get on with you, for impeccability is what we do"!
  • Express who you are, and this caged power will accelerate you to greater heights of creativity, while expanding your life motion in more dynamic directions and joyous presence!
  • The tendency to hold back your power must be avoided in this 10 week or 10 month period as there is a build up of emotion that must be released as energy-in-motion so pursue your creative dreams!  Great Emotion is Greater Motion, so be prepared to spread your dragon wings and ride the Higher States of Creation with the Khadroma or become a self pitying wreck.
  • One is experiencing outside oppression, as in work, career or relationship.
Thank you for your interest, comments, and supportive donations. May you live long and prosper.

The Shadow Series: The Thoth Deck Knight of Cups & The Shadow Tarot-Priest of Quantum Space/Time/Abyss

THE TAROT OF ELI THE THOTH KNIGHT OF CUPS (King of cups in other decks)

The Knight of Cups rules the zodiac from 21 degrees Aquarius to 20 degrees Pisces making him the Specific Fire in the World of Primal water.Water is the substance used to represent the unconscious mental world, fire represents the Sex Force or Fecund force of Spirit and the Knight of Cups is a personification of  the psycho-dynamic motivational force that activates the currents of the unconscious.

The Crab rising from the Cup carried by the Knight symbolizes the sign of Cancer (Cardinal Water) which ruled by the Moon, directs the flow of the tides. There is a dual meaning presented by the crab as it is also a ancient symbol for the Goddess Isis, Stella Maris, the Star of the Sea.

The peacock is often attributed to Chokma, the symbol of Wisdom on the Qabalistic Tree of Life.

If you have been following this blog, by now you know Chokmah, the second Sephira, to be the Idea of Maleness. In Chokmah, the Idea of the Law of Attraction has been determine, as Binah, therefore the opposite of Chokmah is the Idea of the Feminine.  The Qabalistic mystery of the Two's is the interaction of opposites that composes the Universe. The Kings are Chokmah interacting in various elements.

THE KNIGHT OF CUPS;

Often called the Lord of the Waves and of the Waters, King of the Hosts of the Sea. King of the Undines and Nymphs and even the Fisher King-Bran: No matter what accolade one uses, his zodiacal attributes are the last Decan of Aquarius and the first two Decans of Pisces.

Since he is a representation of Chokmah, he is Specific Fire in the World of Primal Water. (In The Shadow Tarot Water, would be called the Abyss.  Quantum Space/Time is of light, therefore it would be the Primal fire.).

If we remember that Water represents the unconscious and its offspring, consciousness, it is easily seen that the Knight of Cups is a personification of the Force which motivates the currents of the unconscious in a manner similar to the Sun's motivational force over the currents of the Ocean.

The Knight's Cup has a crab issuing forth, which is a symbol of the sign of Cancer. Cancer is cardinal water that is ruled by the Moon that we know to direct the tides. The Crab also relates to Stella Maris, the Star of the Sea known as Isis and later Mari The Great Mother or Binah in the Qaballah. (as shown in this illustration)

The Phoenix or stylized Peacock (bottom of Thoth card, in the swelling wave) is a ancient symbol for Wisdom, which on the Tree of Life is Chokmah. The legend of the Phoenix is that of a bird that died in flames every five hundred years, and then rose from its own ashes. The Peacock also represents the Brilliance that is found in Water.

The Thoth Knight is a personification of Bran the blessed that became the Christianized  Fisher King, the ancient lord of the Abyss and/or the Rich Fisher Bron.  Bron was accorded the title of companion of Joseph of Arimathea, a city of Judea, and also keeper of the Christianized Graäl, which is a symbol of the Yoni, often shown as a pointed oval (Vesica Piscis) and latter as a fish. The Graäl has also been called a symbol of a sacred DNA blood line of Jesus the Christ and Mari Madelene.

Bran or Bron was called the "fisher king" because the Yoni, of the Great Mari-Mother of Oceans, (latter the Christianized "Virgin Mary") is often depicted in ancient symbols as a Fish (after the Great Fish Mother of the Egyptian-Mehit). The Hindus also used the fish symbol for the Yonic Goddess, as they said the female genitalia smelled as "fish". The Great Chinese Goddess, Kwan-yin ("Yoni of yonis") often appeared as a Fish.

As a swallower of Shiva's phallus, Kali became Minaski "the fish-eyed one", just as in Egypt, Isis the swallower of Osiris's penis became Abtu, The Great Fish of the Abyss. Therefore the Celts Called Bron, Bran, "the fisher king", a Celtic god who was the "keeper of the Caldron of Regeneration" (Yoni) and therefore the patron of "healing and regeneration". Implying ancient power and strength that is reliably protective of the needy. Therefore there is implied, the calm surface hides a deep and irresistible force, as does the unconscious hide deep emotions, as does space/time hide the Abyss.
{Get the book: THE WOMAN'S ENCYCLOPEDIA OF MYTHS AND SECRETS, by Barbara G. Walker, for more info.}

In The Shadow Tarot, Linda Falorio uses a "sea shell" that is definitely "Yoni" shaped instead of a cup. Here the Thoth Dayside cups are depictions of Nightside, demons of quantum space/time and the Abyss. The Abyss, refers to the Dark Deep Sea of the Great Mother Mari and/or Binah. The Great Dark Deep Sea of the Goddess, is the Divine Collective Unconscious, where all "things are born of Divine Dreams".

In the Shadow Tarot, Sirius is called the Priest of Quantum space/time and the Abyss, instead of Bran the Blessed.

The Star Sirius, is seen by the ancients as the "Guardian of the visible horizon and of the solstices"; translating easily into "Guardian of the Graäl".  If you look at the constellation  Canis Major, "The Great Dog", you'll view the brightest star in the heavens, Sirius.
From this area of the sky, the Nommo, of the Dogon legends, and the bringers of the alien "angel" DNA that once mated to the ovum of the "women of men" (biblical), created the modern "homo-sapiens". So again, we refer to a "Space Yoni" and/or "Super-Natural Yoni" (the Abyss), as the Nommo (Sumerian-Annunaki) were from "other than earth natural" manifestation and from the Abyss.

Since no male of our species impregnated this "Super-Natural Yoni", (laboratory impregnation in test tubes). The Goddess of the Supernatural Yoni, was always seen as a Virgin Goddess. I find all of this a fascinating study of ancient imagery, but it all could be boring to the uninterested, so I shall forge on with Sirius.

The worship of Sirius began in Egypt at about 3285 BCE, when the star's rising began in the month of Thoth, the summer solstice, marking the new year.
In the temple city of Denderah, of Egyptian zodiacal fame,
Sirius, was honored as the resting place of the soul of the goddess, Isis-Sothis (The Nile Star or Serpent' tooth).
Now I could go on and on about the ancient Yoni symbols of the long past, but suffice to say, the ancients believed we are of a mating of aliens from the Abyss of Sirius space and mammalian earth.

The Celestial Dog, Sirius, heralded the heat of summer, that in desert countries, often brought on madness which was blamed on the heat of the Dog Star during its "unhealthy season". Conversely, Sirius in opposition to the Sun, was seen to produce the cold of winter. This sign of "The Heavenly Wolf" was also seen negativity as a potent of attacks from thieves.
In The Shadow Tarot, Sirius is called upon as Anpu (Egyptian) or Anubis (Greek), "Guardian of the Visible Horizon and of the Solstices", as Cerebus, "Guardian of Hell" (Hel-a Norse Goddess of Winter), as Sekhmet," The Flaming Eye", "Lady of Slaughter" and/or as the thrice-great Trismegistos, "The Three-Lobed Burning Eye".  All of which refer to Sirius. One can summon the "electromagetic intelligence" of Sirius by using:
  1. The magical image: of a snake, a raven or a dark man.
  2. Magical Tokens: Black stones, onyx, jet, and the herbs, henbane, comfery and tongue of frog.
  3. The magical influence: is the ability to find what is hidden.

In a reading or divination, the card Sirius, depicts a personality of a mature male, who is faithful, honorable, devote, passionate, a custodian and curator, a guardian, a person of great wealth, honor and renown.

When the Knight of Cups or The Shadow Tarot, Sirius is Thrown during a reading, it implies:
  • Issues of loyalty to family and relationships
  • A time of giving totally and openly to others.
  • Listening to impulses and intuition, often being guided by instincts.
  • The querent is a counselor or caregiver. Psychologist of Priests who is creative and imaginative.
  • The discipline to suppress his dreams in order to achieve success, believing responsibility comes before self-expression.
  • A mastery of emotions that allows one to change their moods at will.
  • Good-natured, compassionate, merciful and jovial mature male who doesn't let his feelings control him.
  • Skillful negotiator of the emotional roller coaster of life showing mastery of fear, and passion.
  • Ignoring fleeting desires for the more fulfilling higher goals of group and/or spiritual work.
  • This card often represents  a fair man of business, law, or divinity who is responsible and disposed to oblige the Querent.
  • A person of good nature, often mature, and is compassionate, merciful but doesn't let his kindly feelings control him or carry him away on some jaunt of emotional excess.
  •  Currents run deep in this person, who has considerable inner strength but works this strength through gentleness rather than overt acts of will.
  • The Knight of Cups represents a quality of irresistible force underlying a calm surf
  • In a more esoteric meaning; the Querent is listening to their own conscience and trusting to their  impulses while being guided by their instincts and intuition.
  • This is the Spirit of Water, that establishes emotions of love and relationships in a gentle and sensitive way.
  • The Knight of Cups often represents the Querent who is a counselor, priest, or a psychologist. A creative and imaginative spiritual counselor.
When ill defined, there is a tendency to not be enduring when the person acts in swift passionate attacks, likened to springs and rains which are the power of solution.
  • There is a certain passive amiability that lacks material depth in his character---quick to respond to attraction that results in a type of shallowness.

The Shadow Series of Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Queen of Cups & The Shadow Tarot -The Pythoness of Space/Time & The Abyss

The Tarot of Eli In Qabalistic Tarot, Binah is the Third Sephira on the Tree of Life; she is called the Sanctifying Intelligence known as Understanding. The four Queens are another aspect of this Sanctifying Intelligence.

The Thoth tarot Queens are, Seated and enthroned, and represent the forces of Heh (meaning window or sight)  in the Divine Vibration of each suit.  By bringing forth a material Force of each suit, like the window in a home bring in the Sun light and reflecting it, the Queens, develop and realize the Force of the King.  This is a steady, unshaken and enduring force that is not as rapid in motion, as are the Princes.

The Great Mother Intelligence is Binah, the Third Sphere/Sephira on the Tree of Life.  As stated, she is the Sanctifying Intelligence  and in the Thoth Queen of Cups Binah is represented as the Queen of the Thrones of the Waters; Water being the flowing Unconsciousness of the Universe; known as The Divine Collective-Imagination. Thus, if you are into the Elemental Mysteries, The Queen of Cups is the Queen of the Undines and Nymphs.

Astrologically, the Queen of Cups is in the last Decan of Gemini and the First two Decans of Cancer.

The Queen of cups is Specific Water in the Realm of Primal Water (Primal Unconscious). Here the "Will to Form" of Binah is "reflecting on consciousness", i.e. imagination. Crowley's card shows this reflective nature in an abstract way. Here The Queen is enthroned on still Water, her image is of purity and beauty and is robed in veils of pure light.

The Truth of her is not seen by the observe, who can only see themselves in reflection.
In her hand is a shell like cup with a crayfish climbing out of it, a symbol relating to the Moon and its reflective qualities. Truth being, one of the characteristics of this card is that like water (consciousness), the flow changes according to the influences around it. There is also an Ibis in abstraction shown on this card, Here, we see the influence of  Thoth-Hermes . The Ibis is a traditional Egyptian symbol of this Moon God. Thus again the Male and Female influences are never separate.

Chokmah, is often represented as Python, the First Husband (Lilith's Husband), thus as a snake or Serpent Force (Spiral Life Force).

In Mythology, the Ibis  eats the eggs of the Snake, which relates to her "consuming the seeds of ideas" (This may be why Lilith is said to be explicitly "oral" in her consumption of male "seed") from Chokmah who is represented on the Qabalistic Tree of Life, as Wisdom. However, the Ibis also consumes the corpses of the dead. This may seem contradictory, but the corpses of the dead are "Conscious seeds", personalities recycled so that data is consumed and recycled in the Universal Unconscious. Thus we have reference to the Great Sea of Binah (Universal Unconscious)  from which life flows out, and also  flows back into, Here the Moon and the cycle of  tides add to the image.

The Lotus is the Eastern Rose, and is the Sacred flower related to Great Mother Isis an Egyptian form of Binah.  Rather than through the touch of her hand, as the Queen of Wands is shown controlling the Leopard, The Queen of Cups uses the intermediary of the Lotus (Womb)  to cause the Ibis to do its work. The Tranquil waters, on which the Lotus float, are the means of force transmission.

The key characteristics to The Queen of cups, are dreaminess, illusion and tranquility. As is Water the perfect agent and patient solvent, the Queen of Cups, is able to receive and transmit everything with out affecting herself in so doing.

If the Queen of Cups is caused to be ill dignified by the accompanying cards in a reading, then everything is refracted and distorted, as she is directly affected by surrounding influences.
The Shadow Tarot Card, The Pythoness of time/space and the Abyss, is named

Algorab or Corvus, "the wing of the raven" is a star called the Delta Corvi:

Delta Corvi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Delta Corvi
(δ Crv, δ Corvi) is a
in the southern constellation
of Corvus. It has the traditional name
Algorab
(from
الغراب
al-ghuraab
, meaning "the crow"). This is a third magnitude star at a distance of 86.9
(26.6
parsecs) from
Earth.  In 1823, it was found to be a wide
double star by British astronomers James South
and John Herschel. Since that time, the position of the two stars with respect to each other has not changed.
This star has more than 2.7 times the mass of the Sun, which is causing it to radiate a much higher energy output—roughly 69 times the Sun's luminosity. The effective temperature of the outer atmosphere is 10,400 K,
giving it the white hue of an A-type star. The spectrum
matches a stellar classification of A0 IV(n) kB9.
Although it is only around 260 million years old,
the luminosity class of 'IV' indicates this is a sub-giant star
that has nearly exhausted the supply of hydrogen at its core and is in the process of evolving away from the main sequence of stars like the Sun.
Algorab displays no excess infrared emission
that would otherwise suggest the presence of circumstellar matter.
It has a magnitude 9.3 companion, HR 4757 B, with a classification of K2Ve at an angular separation of 24.2
arcseconds along a position angle of 214°.
Although the two stars share a common proper motion,
the significant differences in their estimated ages suggests that they may not be physically connected.
In Chinese, 軫宿 (Zhěn Sù), meaning Chariot (asterism), refers to an asterism consisting of δ Corvi,γ Corvi,ε Corvi andβ Corvi. Consequently, δ Corvi itself is known as
軫宿三(Zhěn Sù sān, English: the Third Star of Chariot.

The Babylonians knew the Double Star, Algorab as the Bird God Zu, who dared to steal the "tablets of destiny". After the Christians, Zu became another "Demonized god" of a conquered peoples religion (The Babylonian gods often came from the Sumerians who called the Annunaki gods, as well as, the stars of these space traveler's star charts;see past blogs). Therefore, a star as a demon, which is common in Christianity, does not really promote great "freaky scarey things" but if Stars are wombs of intelligence, as some so state (Know that you are stars...etc.), then one could call on Algorab as an intelligent "Yang energy" that can aggravate change. This is because, in Alchemy, the Raven is associated with the process of putrefaction, and is called "the raven's head"; a very necessary stage of matter so that it can be deconstructed so that reconstruction can begin. The reasoning for the Yang energy aspect is the Chinese Han Dynastic carvings of a three legged Raven in the center of the Sun, considered Yang energy; the three feet corresponding to the three stations of the day; dawn, noon and dusk.

Also, the emotional consciousness associated with the Queen of Cups are "reflective Emotions" and thus very Yang as well, for to reflect on emotions, is to start the process of their deconstruction, so that one may reconstruct their emotional identity.

When the Thoth Queen of Cups or The Shadow Tarot-Pythoness of Space/Time & The Abyss  is thrown during a reading:

  • The querent is showing issues surrounding motherhood
  • Suggesting emotional empowerment, as the querent is able to express feelings honestly, blamelessly and without judgment.
  • Implies too much imagination about issues and not enough action taken to solve them.
  • Emotional and Intuitive capabilities that show  highly evolved interpersonal interactions and psychic abilities.
  • Implies the querent is extremely empathetic and thus must watch out for moodiness and fluctuating feelings.
  • suggests that one inspires from within and could be a time of Deep inner musings, thoughts focused within where the mind is engulfed in Imagination.
  • That a mature woman of deep sexual and fertility powers, where everything in her life is related to nourishment, sexual exchange, passionate giving and receiving maybe involved in the life of the querent or is the querent..
  • Motherhood, or new ideas formulating for a creative line of work.
  • An ethereal person of the highest ideals imagined....sometimes unattainably high in the physical  world of constant change.
  • Wisdom and virtue, Can denote a perfect spouse and a good mother.
  • As a court card the Queen of Cups can mean a mature, motherly woman, with deep sexual powers and fertility that may manifest as actual motherhood  or through a creative line of work.
  • Her ability to give birth to new forms, new talents, new identities and new life is symbolized by the stork.
  • The Queen of Cups represents a "womb-with-a -view", who is the expression of emotional authenticity and congruity about motherhood issues and issues surrounding maternal or female authority figures in one's life.
  • She does not use feelings to attack nor does she feel the need to apologize for those feelings. The crayfish shell in her hand, is a reminder that she chooses integrity over illusion.
  • The double water reflection, symbolizes "as above so below" which is the axiom of western metaphysics and simply points out that she  expresses inner feelings, outside as well.
  • Her outer self is always the accurate reflection of her inner self.
  • For men, She is the animus figure of his inner Nature and is committed to expressing feelings honestly and responsibly.
  • Often in Cabala, time-space is called the "mirror" and we on this reflected surface of light (time- visible light), are projected by the "other side of the mirror" (space - dark energy). The Queen of cups is the silvery sheen of Spirit that is impossible to see, because She reflects back to you your own self -image.
  •  She is "a womb with a view" and anything that we truly feel internally, She reflects as our form externally, no questions asked, and no judgment given. This reminds us that our inner divinity is best expressed rather than our reaction to the convoluted identities bestowed on us by others.
  • The Axiom of "above all things know thyself" shows particular importance here. When this card is thrown one is either experiencing emotional or intuitive maturity or too much imagination is focused on our life  while no action is being taken by that person to acquire or solve the imagined  errors.
  • The Queen of cups is the emotional reflector.

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth Qabalisitic Tarot-Princess of Cups: Represents mastery of emotional objectivity achieved by working through manipulation, jealousy, possessiveness and seduction.

The turtle in the sea shell symbolizes  the capacity to offer emotional loyalty and longevity to others by being objective and non-possessive.

The Swan coming out of her head, represents emotional security and the ability to communicate her feelings, desires and concerns in realistic and meaningful ways ( the dolphin emphasizes this ability).

The crystals on her gown, show a crystal clear ability to look at things as they are instead of what see wants to see.

The free floating lotus blossom shows her trusting heart. She is devoid of a possessive and controlling heart.

This is Elaine the Virgin Moon-goddess of Arthurian legend, who was the keeper pf the Grail in the Grail temple, where she wove the tapestries of life, death, and fate. The Moon Goddess is not only the "Dispenser of Joy", she is also a source of hidden knowledge, bestower of mystical insight, and the gift of wisdom.

The Ace of Cups is a seed of consciousness that is most dependent on the Princess of Cups. The Ace of Cups is the root of the powers of Water/consciousness. This is Water, or consciousness in its most arcane form, Life-Fluid, (Dew of the Mother) symbolically represented as Water, Blood or Wine.
The Ace of Cups is also the compliment to the Ace of Wands, as is the Sun to the Moon and the Lingam to the Yoni and represents the essential form of the Holy Graäl or the Yoni of the Divine Collective.

The Great Mother, Binah, is often symbolized as the Dark Sea and in the Thoth Deck Ace of Cups, She is both the Sea and the Lotus: the Lotus ( two in one) being the Fertile expression of the Great Mother.
Descending from above, a ray of light
representing the Holy Ghost and beneath the Graäl we have the Moon.

The Waves of Life-Fluid, are shown as a web of fluid energy of which the tapestry of Creation is woven from (magnetic waves). To many Native Nations, this would symbolize the Work of the Great Spider Woman, weaver of the Universe.

THE PRINCESS OF CUPS, represents the Earthly part of Water (Life-Fluid), in particular, the faculty of  crystallization. The Princess of Cups, represents the Graäl's power of manifestation. Therefore, she is the power of water that gives substance to idea, to support life and to form the basis for chemical combination, that is often called solution.

The Princess of Cups in the Thoth Deck is represented as a Dancing figure robbed in a flowing , crystal edged garment, all of which indicates her flowing and crystallizing abilities. Thus we can determine that she is an active rather than passive force from the Great Mother. This determination is continued in the imagery of the Swan taking wing. The Swan is the symbol of AUM (of oriental philosophy) that is considered the vibratory harmonic of  Universal Creation by many Yogis.

The Princess of Cups, also bears a covered cup from which s Tortoise is issued.  Here, once again, Lady Frieda Harris, the artistic author of the Thoth cards, presents Hindu Philosophy, as the Tortoise is symbolic of a steadily moving platform supporting the Elephant "who holds  the world on its back". In other words, represents the foundation of Life-Force for the Earth which may seem slow in evolutionary terms, but is persistent and undaunted.
The Dolphin, that is disporting in a foamy- sea, symbolizes the power of creation know as the Royal Fish, which is also known as the first matter.

The Princess of Wands, Cups, Swords and Disks, all give a Character to the Root Power they are associated to. The Princesses are called the Thrones of The Great Mother, as they represent on Earth's 4 Northern quadrants, Mother's rule.  Because root powers are without will, nor self-aware and thus not focused, the Princesses are the Intelligently Focused Energy of a Root Power and are thus aware and more personalized intelligence with conscious characteristics. These Great Daughters of the Great Mother, have their own peccadilloes, and it behooves the practitioner of magick to know them. For instance, the Princess of Cups has an infinitely gracious character that is  voluptuous, sweet, gentle, and kind. Romance, and the perpetual  dream  of rapture are her very nature. Unlike the Volcanic nature of the Princess of Wands.

To the shallow thinker, the Princess of Cups may seem indolent and selfish, but that fact that she goes about her work silently and effortlessly dispels such interpretations.
These Princesses are Elemental Intelligence, and can be communicated with as "goddesses" (Elaine, Diana, Artemis etc), however, their nature is in direct union with a Force beyond the practitioners control.  Tried and true rituals of magick  are recommended so that these forces can be contained before there is too much overwhelming  flow.  In the Case of the Princess of Cups, the practitioners personality could be overwhelmed by the extreme dreamy rapture of  her nature and become unable to operate in the day-to-day world.
Many of us don't realize that the Archetypes of the basic 16 types of personalities, as represented in the Court Cards and seen in our world, are sentient Elemental Forces. However, this makes sense as we are sentient-intelligent Spiritual force.  Because of the thinking of Theological "Divide and Conquer" we have forgotten that our human bodies, are Elemental Beings! We are a Spiral Entity (Spirit) and not of the 4 Elements but of the 5th Element called Spirit. Therefore, we are not seeking to become more Spiritual, for that would be like a fish in the Ocean, looking for water! Spirit is Spiritual and being infinite and eternal makes the concepts of more or less  ridiculous. As Spirits, we are succeeding in becoming a united Life Force; united with that which it activates, i.e. The Alive Form.  We are attempting the Whole Union of Master (Spirit) and Masterpiece (Form )which is often called the Great Work known also as,"As above, so Below". Enlightenment is a misconception brought on by the condensation of light.  Actually, we are of the I AM (Force of existence) who builds a Me (Manifested Awareness) and are not seeking Knowledge for just by looking around you it is obvious that the knowledge of the Universe is already achieved! However, the Divine Collective Unconscious needs a way to get more intimate with the thoughts that produces its "Self Image". Therefore, the intimate and personal Me needs to seek nothing, it must operate only by the Will of the I AM, that seeks awareness through the process of perspective made manifest as phenomena and then personally examining this phenomena to see if it can be progressively expansive. With the sensual Hu-Man (God-Mind) being, thought, the first material of creation, can be examined sensually! Isn't that what "Sensors" are for; up close examination? The Body is a "Sense of Presence"as the fish is a Sense of Ocean.

Therefore I know that as a fellow I AM, I did not come to seek spirituality (I Am That), I have come to seek a sense of presence, a point in time,  so that I can examined my creativity (imagination) for errors that may impeded the Great Work; As above so Below! I am a Qabalist, because that knowing of myself, aids me in the purpose that I AM. the purpose of us all-TO BE Life! I find knowledge through being!

The Shadow Tarot Card-Spica/Oracle of quantum space/time and the Abyss, is an comparable card to the Princess of Cups.
When one wishes to seek the powers of riches, prophecy, skill in science and mathematics, one skries Spica, using magical tokens, such as emeralds. Or herbal tokens, such as, sage, trefoil, periwinkle, mugwort or mandrake to help influence contact with this Star.

When the Princess of Cups  or The Shadow Tarot card, Spica is thrown for a woman, it states that:

  •  She is objective, and realistic of heart.
  • Emotionally loving and realistic rather than attached and clinging.
  • When thrown for a man, the Princess of Cups represents their inner feminine nature (anima) that is committed to offering emotional longevity while being loyal in realistic non-possessive ways.
  • This may represent for both genders, a person in their life who is one's own age or younger and who may  be teaching one lessons about emotionally letting go. This is a water sign card that is associated with Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio and/or the people born within these time frames.
  • The querent is often experiencing emotional detachment that is free of jealousy.
  • Being rapturous and gentle, kind and tender.
  •  A personality full of romance, dreams and loving vision but also a dispenser of hidden insight and wisdom (see Elaine the Moon Goddess).
  • If Ill defined, the Princess of Cups, suggests flightiness, shallowness, and inability to accept reality.

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth Prince of Cups: the passionate heart and mastery of emotional desire.

The symbols of emotional desire and transformation are the Eagles, (one pulling the chariot and the other on the helmet) and the snake emerging from the cup.

The Astrological sign of Scorpio, known for its passion, desire and transformation, is represented in the symbols of both snake and eagles.
The Prince of Cups represents the lover within each individual that expresses and experiences "hard desire" which simply means deep emotional passion; the kind that created all things and is an inheritance from the "Divine Couple". Hard Desire ignites the heart and propels us forward but only if we Master desire, rather than being mastered by desire.
The lotus held in his hand, represents the ability to let go of desire when it is necessary to do so.

The Thoth Deck Prince of Cups, is as all Princes, dependent  on the Union of the King and Queen.  Unless set in motion by the Royal couple, his power is illusionary.

The Prince of Cups is known in the Mysteries, as the Prince of the Chariot of the Waters, Prince and Emperor of the Nymphs and  Undines, as he represents the last Decan of Libra and the first two Decans of Scorpio.
He is Specific Air of Primal Water, which means, he is personality consciousness in the Subconscious.
By now, you may know the Yod Heh Vau Heh formula, which is  also shown in the Prince of Cups. Here we see the water Lotus and the cup that is  issuing serpent. The Serpent represents Chokmah, the Yod Force and in this card, it has the Fiery unsettling qualities of Scorpio. The cup, is Heh, and encloses the Yod serpent, a Victorian way to show phallus and womb and/or the King and Queen in Union.

The Prince, as Vau, carries out the activities of Yod and Heh combined, here then is Water (consciousness).

The Eagle drawing the Chariot, is the Kerubic symbol for Water/consciousness/emotion. And as we know if we've swam in a river, the Eagle also suggests that the calm appearance of water, may hold violent and "fiery energy-currents" beneath the surface. Thus, in the Prince of Cups, Water suggests the Universal Collective Unconscious which bears dynamic energy. and stirs up the Mind as turbulent wind does the sky. Hence, what activity we can expect from the Prince of cups personality is on one hand, elastic, volatile and hydro-static equilibrium; on the other hand, the catalytic faculty and energy of steam which is shown in the Tarot card as wings of tenuous vapor, sprouting from his back that is also suggesting a spiritual sense of vaporization.

Scorpio is noted as being the most Mysterious of Signs, making this card very complicated in its Water imagery. The Lotus is sacred to Water. The calm and stagnant Lake beneath the Prince, is shown being  disturbed by heavy rain; rain being the volatile  expression of Vapor that has become clouds. The reason the lake is shown stagnant, is because of the Alchemical secret process of putrefaction which is also symbolized by the scorpion (not shown on this card because it is secret). The other two processes of Scorpio are shown as the Serpent and the Eagle. Sexual force and Higher Motion, in that order.
The Shadow Tarot Card, Regulus, concentrates on the Star quality of the Prince, as "Watcher of Space/time and the Abyss".
There is also a reference to the Arthurian legends, as the Star Regulus is also called King, Cor Leonis, and/or "Lions Heart".
Also called, "Red fire of the House of the East", Regulus is a brilliant white and ultramarine triple star on the body of the constellation, Leo the Lion.

In christian Mythology, Regulus is the Archangel Raphael, who as the "crushing foot" was considered one of the four guardians of heaven" and/or one of the four  Royal stars  that in or around 2345 B.C.E., Regulus was considered "Watcher of the North" and marked the summer solstice.   Raphael, was considered the "Healing Angel" and one of the 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse.
Regulus entered the constellation Virgo in 2012 C.E.

To summon the Powers of the Star Regulus:
one will need the:
Magical images of a Lion, cat, or honorable person sitting in a chair.
Magical tokens of Granite, Celandine and herbals, mugwort, and mastic.

The magical abilities gained: would be the appeasing of wrath, gaining favor, and making emotions temperate.

As I've said before: The Princes represent the coming and going of an event or person.
In the case of the Prince of Cups /The Shadow Tarot-Regulus, the morality or moral characteristic of such a person would encase subtlety, secret violence and craft. Being also an artist in all his ways, he would be intensely secret.
The calm and imperturbable surface he displays mask his most intense passion. He accepts only external influences that aid him in his secret designs.  His conscience is not that of an ordinary person, for it is of  a more impersonal nature , making him suspect and distrusted by acquaintances.
He is perfectly ruthless and inspires fear in those that distrust him. His abilities are immense, going beyond ordinary senses in to realms of the subtle. He is, however, fluid and being volatile as well, does not care to work in harness.
The fact that the Thoth card is Libra going over into Scorpio, suggests great volatility, as this influence implies tremendous power, energy and weight. Such as the Triple Star Regulus.
Such a person must be well mated, with good will and sincerity, for loyalty is all important to keep their good nature. When this Is so, they are extremely romantic, sensual and generous to a fault and are great lovers.

As far as events go, this is a personal process of the quiet inner aspect of the male principle where self-reflection, inner meditative peace and awareness are being experienced by the querent (The person the reading is for), just like a summer solstice. Here the event of Mind is turned towards deep feelings and artistic visions with the necessary passion to do them but with the secrecy that may prevent it. As a Prince of Cups personality, a person is completely involved in emotional sensation, psychic awareness and spiritual awareness. All of which they have in abundance.

When thrown for a male, The Prince of cups  or the Shadow Tarot-Regulus,represents the Galahad within; the hero known as Lancelot of the Lake, who quested for the holy Grail. Gallantry, gentleness, self-sacrifice, sensitivity, courtesy to women. He is in touch with the "feminine" aspects of his own being.

When thrown for a woman, The Prince of Cups or The Shadow Tarot card Regulus, represents a visual portraiture of dynamic emotional desire which is expressed and mastered by the animus (male) figure within. She has the desire to follow the song of the heart and move in directions that are both life expanding and passionately liberating. Giving art to the world through love, imagination, grace, style, and deepest feelings.

There can be a negative to this kind of emotional passion, of being moody and jealous, if  she or he is controlled by desire and passion rather than mastering it. However, this is solve once the mind turns to artistic visions and/or recognizes deep feelings as the entertainment they are.

The Shadow Series, Tarot Card Comparisons; The Thoth Ace of Cups and the Shadow Tarot -Gaap-Spirit of Space/Time & The Abyss

The Tarot of EliTHE THOTH QABALISTIC TAROT-ACE OF CUPS, represents the emotional world of feeling; the time of Summer and the Space of East. This is the symbol of receptivity, psychism, instincts, fears, memories, desires, dreams, fantasy, and all the other aspects of the subconscious. This is the essence of imagination, what I call "the womb-with-a -view". The colors of Cups, are those of water, lakes, ponds, oceans, rivers, rain and the blood. If you remember your biology, blood is blue until it is oxidized (You may have notice your blue veins).

The Ace of Cups represents the Holy Graäl sitting within the emotional nature (would be a fitting symbol for the Emotional Body of our Aura) which is represented by the blue cup. It is the conscious state of emotional integrity,as represented by the double rainbow. The inside and outside are without dichotomy. As above so below can also be seen here.

Ace of cups also symbolizes the ability to nurture ones self with the same capacity as one gives out to others. The blue Graäl, is Wisdom and the Cup symbol is Love, making it apparent that Love and Wisdom are in union as a flow of nurturing, healing, and a  supporting emotional force (as seen by the radiance entering the cup). Love and Wisdom in equal balance.

The serpent handles of the cup symbolize the regenerative nature of this balance. The lotus base represents the trusting heart who never over-extends itself emotionally but unfolds itself naturally without resistance or holding itself back. In fact, this Love-Wisdom union is the woven fabric of Life itself--as symbolized by the web of Spider Woman (Native American Mother of the Universe) that is seen behind the cup.
Kether, The Crown, is the First Sephiroth on the Qabalistic Tree of Life, is the "Dark energy-Dark Matter" or "No-Thing", that really isn't understood by us. Kether, the Source of All, is not known to us objectively, but it's presence is subjectively understood as a movement within all that moves.
Again, the Aces are attributed to Kether and they represent the most pure forms of energy. Each is a specific type, and density of Energy that we call the Alchemical Elements.
THE ACE OF CUPS:
Is Kether in Briah, depicting the influence of Kether on the Mental Level. The Ace of Cups is the Root Powers of Water, an element used to symbolize the Consciousness and emotions (in combination with Fire) .
The Thoth Deck Version of this Card shows the wave action characteristic of physical water implying the activity that encloses and directs pure consciousness. As the Universe of Energy is woven out of waves of consciousness, and/or  ideas, thus the Web in the background shows us the waves of intelligent energy throughout the universe. The Cup, is the Womb of Form, and emerges from the Lotus (Crown) implying the idea of Womb, the seed of the concept of conception. Thus, the Ace of Wands is the idea of Phallus and the Ace of Cups is the Idea of Womb.  The Ace of Cups is derived from-Yoni Moon, as the Ace of Wands is from Phallus-Sun. Thus we have the "Holy Graäl. Here the dark Sea of Binah supports the Two in One Lotus that fills the cup with Life Fluid (The Semen of Kether), be it symbolized, by water, wine, semen or blood. Two in One, is the realization of the Womb and Phallus.
According to Crowley, the White Light descending is depiction of the Holy Ghost and/or Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit/Semen represents the All of Energy.(Lancelot means, Lord of Lightning)

The Shadow Tarot Card-Gaäp, Spirit of Quantum Space/Time & The Abyss, is representative of the "Apocalyptic, Magnetic Fire, Self merged into collective life". In other words, the Magnetic Female and the Electric Male forces united  in the Divine Collective Unconscious. This union is show on the Thoth Ace of Cups card as white electric light flowing into the Magnetic vessel that is the Graäl/Cup.
In Christian demonology, Gaäp is the 33rd Spirit in the order that Solomon gave them (Solomon means: Sun of On) and is reported to be a Great President and mighty force of hell (very weird government in Christian Hell, as it has Barons, Dukes, Earls and Kings, plus Presidents). Hel, being the Norse Goddess of Life and Death, before the Christians demonized the name. So in fact, with all Christian revisionism aside, Gaäp, would be the force of consciousness that Hel wields to do Her great work. Forces, are often personalized by Gnostics, Qabalist, Practitioner's of Magick and mysteries, in order to visualize a connection with this intelligence of the Divine Collective Unconscious, the domain of the Goddess Hel.
So before we go all Christian"evil" and silly over these Shadow Cards and their sigils, know that the only "evil" is in the minds of sadly dysfunctional humans.  Evil is live spelled backwards, and those who live in the past and refuse to go forwards, are suffering from a delusionary state of psyche  called, "Evil".
One would skry the sigil of Gaäp to cause love or hatred at will. Too make men insensible, in order to teach them to become knowing and wise. To teach how to consecrate objects and to acquire the power of Astral travel: moving from one world unto another.
WHEN THE ACE OF CUPS or THE SHADOW TAROT-GAÄP, IS THROWN DURING A DIVINATION:
It implies:
  • A new attitude brings rewards.
  • in a period of One Year, the querent will develop a new relationship, or new awareness about existing relationship.
  • Is experiencing a new bust of empathy, emotion, sentiment or enthusiasm.
  •   This is a time for staying open and vulnerable in order to reap rewards.
  • The opening of spiritual, psychic, intuitive channels
  • Heart opening to the gift of Love.
  •  It indicates that  in the period of one year you will experience  emotional integrity, equal balance in self-nurturance and the nurturance of others.
  • The Ace of Cups also implies the implementation of trust that can be experienced in relationships with water sign people in your life; Pisces, (February 21- March 21), Scorpios, (October 21 to November 21) and Cancer (June 21-July 21).
  • The Ace of Cups is a quality of the Magus (key 1 of the Trump) who is the archetype of communication.
  • The Ace of Cups is the aspect of being able to communicate feelings from a place of emotional integrity and trust rather than from a place of control.
  • This card represents the Ecstasy that comes with the Love of life in its entirety.

The Shadow Series, Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth 2 of Cups & The Shadow tarot- Purson

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth Qabalistic Tarot, 2 of Cups-Love, represents love under will, the harmony of female and the male interpreted  in the largest sense; perfect and placid harmony, radiating an intensity of joy and ecstasy, as shown by the Dolphins in total expression with one another.

This love is communication on all states of conscious energy and as shown by the pink lotus blossoms, it is "as above so below", stating that this love flows from the Divine itself. Such love is equal and special, as shown by the two overflowing cups.

Love like this is without self-banishment or self-diminishing, rather it expands both parties and they feel equal to each other while also being special to each other; a state many of us wish for but we often only experience love of a unequal nature or a equal love with out feeling special, such as a professional relationship.

The green sea represents the image of creative love. The yellow reflection symbolizes  inspirational love while the blue sky states that it is clear and focused.

The astrological aspect of this card is Venus in Cancer. The Ancients knew Venus to be the planet of love, beauty and creative power:  Astrologically Cancer represents, nurturing, comforting, supporting, and healing.

As I have mentioned before, the Two is the Qabalistic number that represents "the Word and the Will" and is the first manifestation.

In the suit of water, the 2 of Cups is Venus in Cancer. Astrologers know Cancer to be the most receptive of signs and is the House of the Moon. Jupiter is most exhaled in Cancer. Thus we have arguably the three most friendly Planets, Moon, Venus and Jupiter, linked together in mutual positives.
For those of us who aren't astrologers, In the element of water, Love is the force that recovers unity from individuality by the process of mutual annihilation  In other words, Love changes both individuals and combines them in a new form. Such as blue meets red, they love one another, combine individuality into a oneness that is Purple.

The Two of Cups shows two overflowing cups in the foreground, on a calm sea. The translucent  water (represents energy in motion) flows from a Lotus, filling the cups, while another Lotus arises from the sea, supporting two Dolphins. The Dolphins are Alchemical symbols of the Royal Fish and can be studied by looking into alchemical reference material. The Dolphin Symbol is a little too complicated to be explained in a short blog.
Since the number two refers to Will, the Two of Cups is also known as the Lord of Love under Will, and shows the harmony of  Female and Male in the largest sense of the words.
Love is the combination of individual frequencies, that form a harmony. Harmony, forms the Divine Collective Unconscious. Love is then viewed as a
Spiral Harmonic Force of (Spirit), (Spirit and the Word Spiral come from the Same Greek Root word-Spiro which means=breath.) necessary to create living form.

The Shadow Tarot Card, Purson/ 2 of Quantum Space/Time & the Abyss, is comparable to the Thoth 2 of Cups.  It represents, "Love, curiosity, eagerness and understanding."

Purson is the 20th Spirit in the order that Solomon (Sun of On) bound them.
He is said to have a lion's head, a comely body of a man, holding a viper and riding a bear with trumpets sounding.
[There seems to be many continents or countries in Christianized Hell, for He to is one of many great and powerful Kings of Hell.]
He is called upon to learn what is hidden, to acquire treasure, and knowledge of past, present and future. Purson answers truthfully, questions both secret and divine. As do many others, (see past blogs) so it seems the Christian monks didn't read each others work.
Any way, have fun, invoking using the shadow sigil.

When the Thoth 2 of Cups or The Shadow Tarot-Purson card is thrown during a reading, it represents:
  • Harmony, Love, marriage, pleasure, warm Friendship, mirth, and subtlety.
  • It is about human love on a large scale.
  • It also is a 2 week or 2-month card, representing the accumulation of the above emotions in that time period.
  • It means that in the next two weeks or two months, we will experience the capacity to achieve emotional balance and emotional fulfillment. We will be able to give and receive love in equal proportion.
  • It would be a good time to extend love to the Cancer people in your life. (June 21-July 21).
  • Love to or from family members is also important at this time.
  • This love is not only about two people, it also can be about 2 gifts, 2 talents, 2 resources that you have and that two loves in your life, whatever they may be, are equally balanced and fulfilling in the next two weeks or months.
If ill dignified, it can represent folly, waste, dissipation and silly action and is far more superficial than when well dignified. In the Thoth Deck Tarot, ill dignity and well dignity, are decided by the surrounding cards and there is no significance supplied to up-side-down cards. This being because this is seen by many Qaballists as an act  of disordered deck handling and not an "act of God".

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth Qabalistic Tarot Card The Three of Cups=Emotional Abundance.
This special card represents the fulfillment of The Will of Love in abounding joy.

Also, subtly, this card  reminds us that the good things in life are not to be trusted as stationary but temporary items. The Three of Cups card  therefore represents emotional or intuitive clarification; clarity about what your feelings and intuition are saying.

Astrologically, this card is Mercury in Cancer. Mercury, on top of card, is the symbol of communication. Cancer, is the ability to communicate the emotional feelings one has especially the nurturing, loving, and light feelings one has as represented by the golden lotus blossoms spraying the "pollen of golden light" into the pomegranate cups.

Pomegranate cups, represent the rich emotions one has received from others. Pomegranates are also sacred to Persephone/ Greek Goddess of Spring.

The golden lotus represents the "solar plexus" (Manipura) chakra an enlightened being, so this is emotion from deep withing; the master within each of us.

The 3 of cups can also represent the deep emotional, abundant feelings that we have for  three important people in our lives; or it can represent the next 3weeks or 3 months should be a good time to communicate your deep feelings and utilize you nurturing communication abilities to motivate, empower, and comfort others. Remembering the Cancer people in your life (June 21 to July 21) with loving abundance and/or to communicate your deep feelings. This card is about love, abundance, healing and the expansion and liberation of self that those feelings generate. Being ternary, this card states that all three states of self identity are involved in communicating these abundant feelings; sub-conscious, consciousness, and self-conscious (ego to some).

Qabalists and those who have been following this blog know by now that Binah, The 2nd Sephira/Understanding  is "will to form", and a Dark Energy-underlying force that makes imagination a womb.

She is the Will of the Womb of all forms, not the Womb itself for that is reserved to the Action of Chesed the Sphere of Mercy. So once again the sexing of this forces is limiting and short on insight. Chesed may be Masculine in its expression of form, and yet it is feminine as it receives the Will of Binah.(See past blogs)
What may surprise you, is that none of us are the sex of our bodies. We are Androgynous, in that we are both receptive (female) and expressive (male); both magnetic (female) and electric (male). Being Electromagnetic entity, we have great power "to be or not to be". The body is a tool, powered by the Electromagnetic Entity that you are often called Spirit or Spiral Entity. As a power tool the human body is excelled, but as it's operator, you are beyond the reason of bodies and must discriminate emotionally, for your E-Motion (energy in Motion) is the "life journey" of your body. We are obviously a "Will to Be" which is very much a "Will to Form", so here is a kicker, YOU ARE THE IMAGINATION viewing itself!  Sorry dear ego, but you don't have a imagination, it has you.

In past blogs I stated that, Hu is Mandarin for God and Man is from the Hindu word for mind---Mannas, meaning Mind. Thus you are called a God Mind, which is the Mind of the Image Maker, or Creator, i.e. Imagination!   The body is not described in the world human because you as Spirit, define it as you think you to be (Freedom to choose your own definition). So you are a Hu-Man, who owns a body.
Image-maker, is what the Imagination means, and that dear soul, is The Divine Creative's Power,  So get off of your suffering butt and stand up and Yell-----I AM Me!  And get on with your definition, for self- impeccability for that is what you came to do! Remember, what we command in this Universe is our own image and all phenomena is Imagined! Take charge of yourself and stop blaming environment, or person or thing, sure they may influence, but they only have the power you give them. What you are as a phenomena is up to your Passionate use of Imagination!

THE THREE OF CUPS-ABUNDANCE:
is also called the Lord of Abundance. Here Mercury is in Cancer, The Angels of the Decan Rachael and Yehomayah.
The Three of Cups, signifies the influence of Binah in Briah, the mental World.
Cancer is a water sign, and is under the command of the Moon. Thus we have Cardinal Water,i.e. Unconscious. Thus, The Three of Cups is perfect affinity with Binah, who is "Will to Form".

The rushing water, swift and extravagant, as it overflows the Pomegranate cups, represents the gifts of Mercury.  The Water arises from a single cup which denotes the "dark calm Sea of Binah" a characteristic of the Unconscious from which all consciousness springs. She is also seen as Persephone, to whom the Pomegranate is sacred and as the "Red Persephone" she is the Lust of Spring.  With the Plenty of Persephone, this card represents plenty, hospitality, and abundance.
The Shadow Tarot-Zepar, the 3 of Quantum Space/Time &The Abyss.
Sports the name and sigil of the 16th Spirit, in the order that Solomon bound them  Since the 3 of Cups is a Goddess/feminine card, the Shadow side would be Masculine in nature.
According to Linda Falorio, author of these cards, and Christian demonology, invented by neurotic, paranoid and psychotic medieval superstitious monks, Zepar is a "Great Duke of Perdition" who appears in a red soldier's uniform and armor.

Tradition states, that one calls on Zepar, to bring together in love or cause love to be barren.

Red is the traditional color of Mar's, both  Roman god of war and the planet ( and Persephone's pomegranates). Interesting combination for love's messenger. Be that as it may, it is suggested that by skrying the sigil on the Zepar card, one will acquire the knowledge to "bring together in love". I would leave the barren concept alone, as this is a "cause and effect" universe. You won't like the effect.

When the Three of Cups or The Shadow Tarot-Zepar is thrown during a reading:

  • The querent may have an out pouring of love and positive emotion toward three very significant people in their life An overwhelming desire to communicate such to them.
  • Happiness and a full life.
  • May become clearer about what one's feelings and emotion are saying .
  • Letting the spirit come through and expressing the joy of being with others.
  • A steady and timeless affection is being felt by the querent that is unconditional and thus more powerful  and more deeply felt than romantic love.
  • Feeling the dance of love, often called the Three Graces. A very exuberant joyful feeling of being.
There really isn't a negative to this card, unless blinded by exuberance can be called a negative. But love doesn't really care if others appreciative it or not, it just is the foundation of Spiritual Knowledge.  Love is in itself a force, Unconcerned with approval, as that has already be done by manifestation of its Sensual Being.

The Tarot of EliThe Qabalistic Tarot, the Thoth-FOUR OF CUPS: Luxury is assigned the astrological sign of the Moon in Cancer, which is the influence of the Sephirotic Entity Chesed (Mercy) in the unconscious mental realm/Briah the creative world.

There is a certain self-satisfaction with this card as an emotional luxury that is often felt as pleasure flowing from an unconscious source.
The outpouring of emotional luxury from above, is not overflowing in the lower cups, symbolizing that this pleasure will soon end but for now, the feeling of you having everything you need in your life is luxuriant and you are not now open for suggestions.
There is  also a Promise here; a promise of  mercy, healing, empathy, trans-personal love, forgiveness and taking away of soul burdens.
We feel an easy compassion and are forgiving of those who trespass against us. There is suggested, a luxuriant feeling that we all belong to each other: a larger sense of emotional-family than is normal.

From the Golden Dawn Texts:
"In Chokmah is the Radix of blue and thence is there a blue color pure and primitive, and glistening, with a spiritual Light which is reflected into Chesed. And the Sphere of its Operation is called Tzedek or Justice and it fashionith the images of material things, bestowing peace and mercy: and it ruleth the sphere of the action of the planet Jupiter. And Al is the title of a God strong and mighty, ruling in Glory, Magnificence and Grace. And the Archangel of Chesed is Tsadkiel, the Prince of Mercy and Beneficence, and the Name of the order of Angels is Chasmalim, Brilliant Ones, who are also called the Order of Dominions. The Sephira Chesed is also called Gedulah or Magnificent and Glory."

With such flowery words of ritual adoration, it is often difficult  to realized that this is Part of your Inner inheritance as a Divine Child. But so it is. Inside of you, is the Divine Collective Unconscious, best seen as the Qabalistic Tree of Life. You are composed of all Ten of these "Entities of Force and Form" that reside in the Universal Divine Collective; Fragments, for sure, but the fragments connect one to the whole. Since this is beyond the culturally impregnated brain's ability to comprehend, it is recommended that one Skries (open eyed meditation) the Tarot Cards, to help them place all the fragments of the Divine Collective Unconscious mind together  by using their own fragment of Unconscious.

THE FOUR OF CUPS, in the Thoth Deck is called Luxury or Lord of Blended Pleasure. The Planet is Moon and the sign is Cancer.  The Angels of the Decan are: Hayayel and Mevamayah Practice calling these names, you may be surprised at the vibratory change.

The Four of Cups is Chesed in Briah, here Chesed is influencing the unconscious mental realm. The alternate flow of the Moon is mitigated in Cancer, as the Moon naturally rules in this sign. Changing cycles are still there, but passive, and slow. When looking at the Crowley Card, we see the Upper Golden Solar cups overflowing but not the lower, implying that the Pleasure is real but with reservations.  The caveat being; pleasure but not without some anxiety and discomfort.  Here the Luxurious feeling of pleasure is short and indifference soon takes over and as the multiple stems of the one lotus show, the energy of luxury is divided amongst multiple flows, implying too many diverse issues involved to stay stable.  Four is a "dead end" number so ending is the only place to go. and action must be taken soon.
The Shadow Tarot, 4 of Quantum Space/Time and The Abyss, BATHIN,
implies, luxury, inner aristocracy, and social supremacy.

Bathin is the name supplied to the 18th spirit as Solomon bound them, is a Christianized Duke of Hell and is often seen as a strong man, with a serpents tail, riding a pale horse.

In demonologyBathin is a duke (Great Duke according to Pseudomonarchia Daemonum) of Hell, who has under his command thirty legions of demons.

He knows the virtues of precious stones and herbs, and can bring men suddenly from one country to another. He helps one attain astral projection, and takes one wherever one wants to go.

He is depicted as a strong man with the tail of a serpent, riding a pale horse.
He is mentioned in The Lesser Key of Solomon.
Other spellings: Bathym, Mathim, Marthim.
Sources[edit]

Now, I hate to burst your bubbles of horrific demonic summoning glee, but Marthim (another name for Bathin), is also the Christian saint Martin, which is the Christian version of the March sacrificial god Mars, said to have come riding on a pale horse of death, in the manner of Woden.

Ireland preserved the custom of killing the god incarnate in an ox (rather than hanging him on a cross). In fact, every medieval house hold killed some domestic animal and sprinkled the threshold with the sacrificial animal's blood, all because St. Martin became regarded as "Martyr". The British continued this custom of killing cattle on St. Martin's day (Miles, 204-6.)
St. Martin's day, is a continuation of the Roman festival of Martinalia, when the god Bacchus prefigured Jesus by turning water into wine at his sacred marriage (Christian adaption appears in the Gospel of John). This holy day was also continued by British folk custom down to the 19th century, C.E., as school boys filled vessels with water on St. Martin's Night so that the water could be turned into wine before morning.  Often, parents replaced the water with wine during the night; much like a benevolent tooth fairy. (Hazlitt, 393).
Again, the demonic world is just a Christian Monk creation, just like all the Martyrs, they created, whom never existed as none can be found in true history.
That being said, the summoning of Bathin, skrying the sigil, supposedly should gain one knowledge of herbs, and knowing of the virtue of precious stones. He'll take one wherever they want to go, and teach one the knowledge of Astral Travel.

When the Thoth or Shadow Tarot card is thrown during a reading;
  • For a time, say 4wks or 4 months the querent shall experience emotional luxury, which is the capacity to make other people feel emotionally satisfied, secure and peaceful.
  • A period of contentment but this is the edge of completion and a new vision of love is being seen. Thus there is both  the gift and challenge of a fallow period.
  • There maybe boredom, and apathy with a sprinkling of discontent as the querent awaits inspiration.
  • There is type of balance that is caught between the worlds of thought and action.
  • A good time for clarity and refining things down to a simple truth.
  • Blended pleasure and success, receiving pleasure but with some slight discomfort and anxieties. This is because this pleasure radiates from our unconscious mental realm and our consciousness is still feeling its normal uncertainty, as it is still bound in survival thinking.
  • A moment of emotional stagnation, discontent with ones environment, and weariness will manifest before the true Pleasure of the Six of Cups, where both the unconscious and conscious flow in pleasurable communion becomes apparent.
There is a certain inner warmth experienced here, so enjoy the moment and relax in the luxury of the emotional pleasure.

The Tarot of EliThe Qabalistic Thoth Tarot- Five of Cups: Disappointment.
Many people inappropriately term some tarot cards as "bad" and others as "good" which is the product of our two dimensional cultural thinking. "Good/Bad" is errant thought as the Tarot is about conscious energy, fragmented psyche, and its movement as "your multidimensional life".

The fives, which have often been termed as bad, are really the necessary disruption of the placidity of the fours. Your inner self is telling the outer self it is time to move!

Emotional disappointment makes us fragile (the four glass cups), and vulnerable. Like the murky sea in the background we become depressed and then angry, as the orange/red sky. We are now off balance (the askew star) and feeling uprooted (the lily pads with falling lotus blossoms).

The transformational aspect of disappointment is shown by the universal sign of the butterfly (the roots of the lily pads in the shape of a butterfly).

The Thoth card, astrologically, is Mars in Scorpio; Mars is the planet associated with vitality, assertiveness and dynamic activity, such as war. Scorpio is the sign of emotional, and mental depth, thus disappointment is felt deeply "to the core" here. Therefore this is not a trivial disappointment such as not getting the right color of car, but a real stinging disappointment that in the next 5 weeks or 5 months that has been or will be experienced . This also could be 5years of disappointment or disappointment that goes back to a period 5 years ago, or even disappointment that has been experienced deeply when you were 5 years old and is still influencing your present emotional state.

As I have previously stated, Geburah, the Fifth and Red colored Sephira, may be severe but brings a necessary corrective in our lives, by tearing away all that is useless thought, emotion, that is outdated and unproductive.

In this Universe most of us understand that there is only one energy that we can't create, nor can we destroy it, we can however, transfer/transmit it and transform it.  Transformation is a process of deconstructing material and then reconstructing that which is envisioned out of the newly "freed" material. Transmitting is done sexually or in some from of intimacy and/or communication, where we are in communion with someone or something. Such as the intimacy of healers. or shamanistic rites etc.

The flow of this vital emotional (energy in motion) force is often called love, as such we could say that the intimacy of the negative pole as it joins with a positive pole of a magnet proves love. But being Spiritual beings, we know Love is more than energy flow, it is a communion of multiple attributes and originates in "No-Thing".  To the Gnostic, Tantric and Qabalist, intimacy is not just physical touching, tasting, smelling, hearing or seeing, even though those are usually involved. Intimacy is also where one Auric  Energy-Field blends with another, forming, at least for the moment, "twin souls" or "Twin flames". Energy weaving into a new pattern for both parties can become a substantial growth pattern. A multiplication of 7 dimensions weaving with another 7 dimensions, becoming 49. These 49 are really a numeric 4+ 9= 13 and Key 13 is the Death Card, which means a "Spiritual Transformation".

However wonderful energy in motion (emotion) is, it also has and end. That would be the second law of Thermodynamics where"...all things proceed from order to disorder", So a Master weaver of Self, would see the disorder in phenomena patterns, and deconstruct them and reconstruct a new order of Self.  Here's where Geburah steps in to assist us, she makes us view the disorder, and as a corrective, we can now remove the old and build the new.

THE FIVE OF CUPS- DISAPPOINTMENT:
Is also known as Lord of loss in pleasure. Here, as stated, the planet Mars is in Scorpio. The angels of the Decan are: Livoyah and Pehilyah. As the 5 of cups, Geburah is influencing the Mental World, Geburah in Briah.
By now you may know that the Alchemical Element-Water is consciousness and emotional flow. Therefore, what is represented in the Thoth 5 of cups is a sensually severe situation.
Mars being a violent energy and in the water sign Scorpio, this violence produces an extremely emotional effect.
The once full cups are empty, implying loss of that which is loved.  Geburah is fiery of nature, and still-water is  totally at odds with this active force, thus causing a disturbance and  loss of pleasure,  This card, if supported by he accompanying cards, can even mean death of a loved one. The inverted pentagram represents the triumph of matter over spirit and where disturbance arises in the middle of ease.
The Shadow Tarot Card, Vepar, is a comparable card to the Thoth 5 of Cups, as it to means, "Disappointment and yearning".
Vepar

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: In demonologyVepar is a strong Great Duke of Hell, and rules twenty-nine legions of demons. He governs the waters and guides armored ships laden with ammunition and weapons; he can also make, if requested, the sea rough and stormy, and to appear full of ships. Vepar can make men die in three days by putrefying sores and wounds, causing worms to breed in them, but if requested by the conjurer he can heal them immediately.Vepar is depicted as a mermaid. Despite this, he is always described with male pronouns, although this may be due to the fact that words like "merman" were uncommon or not in use when Vepar was first described. Other spellings: Separ, Vephar.

Again, Christian demonology is from the subverted celibate passions of imprisoned monks.  That is probably why most demon figures are similar to drawings of impassioned boys suffering from puberty's rampant hormones.

The idea of Mermaids (literally, "Virgin of the Sea") goes far back in history, to the fish-tailed image of Aphrodite, the medieval Minne, Maerin, Mari (of Solomon's time), Marina, mereminne, mare-mynd, mareminde, marraminde, or maraeman, of Old English [Steenstrup, 105; Branston, 133]. Therefore, She was associated with the Death goddess aspect, sometimes named Ran, who received the souls of those put to sea in funeral boats; or, she might trap living men in her fish net. (It seems the misogynistic fear of women is responsible for creating many demons.). Teutons said drowned men went to dwell in the house of Ran.[Davidson,G.M.V.A., 129]

To the exploring "psycho-naught", it behooves us to know that all of the Universe, is within the Divine Collective Unconscious, and that all observable phenomena, is from perspective's of Self-Awareness that reside within, powered by the "Movement within the Motion" called by Qabalists as the Sephira-Kether. What a great amount of people believe, in a society, build the energy-in-motion "reality" of that society.  Therefore, we've had histories of gods and goddesses, which were emotionally believed into existence by the worshiping horde. These, after a time, become enlivened by energy-in-motion, i.e. emotion (The No-Thing that animates all things). Therefore, the Astral which is the realm where belief becomes formed, is littered with the Psychic Engines, we call gods and goddesses and/or demons. (Christian revisionism did its best to reclassify pagan gods and goddesses as demons, and thus re-cloaking them in horrific images, but if closely observed the old god/goddess pattern shows through the newer thin one of less time.)  But psycho-engines of belief are what they are, providing deception by "spectacle".  However, splendorous they appear, they are far less powerful than you, who are the creator of "observable phenomena" (imagination) and therefore, the creator of gods, goddesses and demons.

So if you wish to call on Vepar, just skry the sigil, and welcome a comely astral image of a Mermaid. It is said one calls on Vepar to guide ships to their safe destination. Just remember, "something is fishy" here as this is a 5 of cups, and will be disappointing.

When the 5 of cups or The Shadow Tarot-5 of Quantum Space/Time & the Abyss/ Vepar is thrown during a reading, the querent:
  • Has been or will be experiencing emotional disappointment for 5 weeks or 5 months.
  • Usually experiencing implications of relying too much on others for love, rather than loving themselves.
  • Here, there is a certain crying over past events, a experience of grieving over what has been lost.
  • Emotional discord as one begins to adapt.
  • The 5 is a card of regret, loss and separation. The corrective of Geburah is being applied here, and it is the beginning of recovery.
Thank you for your interest, comments and supportive donations. May you live long and prosper!

All of these meanings are determined by where the card lays in the reading. When this card is thrown you may want to release past patterns of disappointment either with the Scorpio people in your life and/or in the next 5 weeks or 5 months be no longer willing to hold onto past disappointments and will make a conscious decision to let them go. It's now time to transform your emotion into a free butterfly rather than a "worm" in a hard shell of disappointment. Stuff happens to the just and unjust alike and by releasing disappointment, we can then turn anger into a personal ambition to create more motion in our life! This card states, " Release the past, for that is a dead place, fly forward into the sunny now!"

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth Qabalistic Tarot, 6-of Cups-Pleasure:
This solar card represents the Sun in Scorpio and I along with Crowley, believe this to be one of the, if not the,  best card in the deck when it comes to a deep personal life changing experience. This is the Ecstasy of the Dancing God and Goddess (Shiva and Shakti in Eastern theology).  I could be called bias here, for my Astrological sign is Scorpio natal, and Scorpio rising with a Cancer moon. According to Astrology, this makes me a very deeply psychic, spiritual and emotional person and yes, I experience daily pleasure in just existing!

The six of cups is PLEASURE, on a deeply spiritual-emotional way. A pleasure that is:
  1. Healing (copper cups).
  2.  Revitalizing ( orange blossoms).
  3.  Renewing and regenerating ( the coiled serpents in the cups).
This is the underlying pleasure that is the foundation of creation itself; an Ecstasy that never stops as it vibrates the waves of pleasure that builds all things.

"Where there is Ecstasy, there is Creation. Where there is no Ecstasy, there is no Creation"
                                                                                                                             -Tao

From the Sepher Yetzirah (Qabalistic Text) and the Thirty Two Paths of Wisdom (Qabalistic Text of Paul Foster Case):
In Kether is the Radix of a Golden Glory and thence is there a pure, primitive and sparkling, gleaming golden yellow which is reflected into Tiphareth. This is the first reflected Triad complete. And the sphere of its operation is that of Shemesh, the Solar Light, and bestoweth Life, Light and Brilliancy in metallic matter, and it rideth the sphere of action and of the Sun. And YHVH
Eloah va-Daath is a God of Knowledge and Wisdom, ruling over the Light of the Universe; and its Archangel is Raphael, the Prince of Brightness, Beauty and Life. And the Name of the Order of Angels is Melechim, that is Kings or Angelic Kings, who are also called the Order of
Virtues, Angels and Rulers.

What should be of interest to note is that we are the images of Eloah va-Daath, and rule over, by observation alone, the very electrons of this material dimension.

 The Thoth SIX OF CUPS-PLEASURE:
Is also called the Lord of Pleasure. Here the Sun is in Scorpio The Angels of the Decan are Nelokhiel and Yeyayel.
The Thoth 6 of Cups represents the influence of the Solar Logos-Tiphareth, in the Mental World known to Qabalist as Briah.

Loyal readers know that Tiphareth in Atziluth (Beauty in Pure Spirit) means Victory after effort, shown as the Six of Wands. Now we see the Six of Cups as Tiphareth in the Watery World, (Mental World) as the beginnings of Pleasure.

Noted to be a sign of discrimination, magnetism and hidden qualities, Scorpio, in the Six of Cups, is like activated Water by Solar influx. Here, Scorpio revels in the Sun, and is likened to a fertile, warm, fruitful sea--a Spa of Life generating qualities.  As I said, being a Sun in Scorpio, and a Scorpio Natal, with a Cancerian Moon, my inner self is a bight pleasure to my Watery World.

Bacchanalian forces revel in my halls of hearth and heart I live this card, in a daily Glow of Bright Pleasure. Thus I found that have no need to seek pleasure-----I am it! And pleasure is a becoming state of daily being.

Of course, Scorpio may sting where the Will directs, however, when the Will resides in Beauty-Tiphareth, Love is the Willful view of life and the scorpion's sting is reserved for those who would demean life with vial actions.  So as the Sun activates the Forces of Scorpio, gain or pleasure commences. Implied, without need of assurance, is that pleasure and gain will build, as shown by the partially filled cups.
Pleasure, being the natural title of this card, is not that of the mundane pleasures of the pain fleeing populace, but of the highest sense; implying well-being, harmony of natural forces without effort or strain but with ease and satisfaction Yet it does emphatically represent the fulfillment of Sexual Will, as shown by the ruling Sephira, Tiphareth, sign of Scorpio, Planet Sun, and element of Water. A communion of fertile forces, that makes all life possible.
The Shadow Tarot-6 of Quantum Space/Time & The Abyss, is the comparable Shadow side to the Thoth Six of Cups, as it represents, "Pleasure, True Self and True Will. Inner Ties".

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:

King/President Zagan[edit]
Zagan (also Zagam) is a Great King and President of Hell, commanding over thirty-three legions of demons. He makes men witty; he can also turn wine into water, water into wine, and blood into wine (according to Pseudomonarchia Daemonum blood into oil, oil into blood, and a fool into a wise man). Other of his powers is that of turning metals into coins that are made with that metal (i.e., gold into a gold coin, copper into a copper coin, etc.).
Zagan is depicted as a griffin-winged bull that turns into a man after a while.

If you think Zagan sounds like Dionysus
, you are correct. The Demon Zagan, is a revised Christianized version of the Cretan bull god, Zagreus, and savior, identified with both Dionysus the Son, and Zeus the Father. According to per-Hellenistic myth, Zagreus was slain by the Titans, as a sacrifice, then assimilated to his heavenly father and resurrected as a new copy of himself, by rebirth though the Mother-Rhea.
If this sounds suspiciously like the Christian myth of Christ, you are right. The ancient Cretan myth has been revised into the newer Christian myth. So in all ignorance, the Monks have turned Jesus (Zeus) Christ (Christos, meaning Sun/Son) into a Demon of hell called Zagan.

By skrying the sigil of Zagan one should have a Dionysian experience. So When the Six of Cups-Pleasure or The Shadow Tarot 6 of Quantum Space/Time & the Abyss, is thrown during a reading, the querent is experiencing:
  • Emotional pleasure, in a period of 6 weeks or 6 months of giving to and receiving  pleasure form others.
  • A period of innocence and taking great pleasure in one's childlike qualities.
  • They maybe experiencing an orgasmic rush of feelings, a wave of ecstasy that even sad feelings being actively expressed, feel good in release.
The querent may also be experiencing sweet memories  of the past, as past efforts bring present rewards.
  • within the next 6 weeks or 6 months, it is indicated that there will be  a determination to bring a deep ;pleasure into your life that is renewing and regenerating.
  • The pleasure could be experienced with the Scorpio people in your life (October 21 to November 21) or you could be experiencing a  time of deep emotional pleasure that is  spiritually and emotionally powerful and energizing.
  • This is not pleasure from a great glass of wine, or a wonderful meal, this is an overall pleasure that bonds both the Pleasure of the Spirit with the sensual pleasure of the body. Something the successful  Tantra practitioners  understand; the pleasure of Spiritual Being created the Sensual Pleasure of the five senses---creating ten senses of magical being. When all 10 flow in balance there is Ecstasy! Why else would a immortal Spirit create a body of time/space that can radiate pleasure---if being physical doesn't please you? The deep understanding of Spirit----Shows us that physical being is not a curse but a magical gift that makes us intimate with creation and the joy of being. Creation Loves being into manifestation---this card indicates that such deep pleasurable love is felt by the Divine Creative through you. The Shadow Series, Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Tarot 7 of Cups & The Shadow Tarot -7 of Quantum Space/Time & the Abyss

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth-7 of Cups-Debauch;

represents emotional over extension where depression is causing us to over-indulge in certain habits to avoid pain. This card indicates that imagination is running away with itself and we have a problem with facing reality. There is suggested here that there is a tendency for us to emotionally wallow in negative emotions of the past rather than changing our moods to live in the now of reality. Overindulgence  in food, drink, drugs, smoking ,gambling,  sexual antics, even shopping ...all from a tendency to feel sorry for ourselves. In other words, the seven of cups represents a self destructive way of coping with depression, or uncomfortable issues that one doesn't want to face by indulging in distracting patterns of excessive behavior.

The astrological symbol of this card is Venus in Scorpio; Venus represents love and beauty while Scorpio represents transformation and deep-emotional exploration. This suggests that a choice has to be made with much care and consideration during a time of run-away imagination and innumerable thoughts. This confusion is only enhanced by the abundant creativity, artistic talent and energy of the querent.

To reiterate: NETZACH-VICTORY is the Sephiroth where feelings, and instincts begin. Netzach is undifferentiated and the Sephiroth of Group Mind. It is connected to it's opposite HOD- SPLENDOR whose attributes are of the intellect, individualization, and beginnings of the individual mind.

When observing this instinctual group mind/individual mind balance we can see that
Netzach is the Sephira of which the forces of Nature are attributed. The Angels of this Sephira are called Elohim, often called the Gods, because they are for the personality in incarnation and for the human race. Also, Netzach is the Sphere of Venus-Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love. Thus Netzach-Victory, implies that the Victory is in Love of Being. Remember, Hu-man means God Mind, which declares us Elohim!

The spark (fire is Spirit) of the individual mind begins in the Group Soul-Fire that is Netzach, and becomes part of a group of bright intelligence that is self-comprehending/or self aware, while also comprehending the Whole. Therefore, it is not all surprising that the arts, music, painting, poetry and all other things of creative imagination, are attributed to the Netzach/Hod union.

As I have often repeated, the Three key symbols of Netzach, are the Rose, the Girdle and the Lamp.
The Rose is attributed to Venus and often associated with Love, as the most perfect flower.

Traditionally the Girdle is also an attribute of Venus and to learn the secret of the knot in her Girdle means to direct the Venus forces of nature,i.e. tie them up or release them at will.

The Lamp is the bearer of Fire relating Netzach to Geburah and the powerful waring forces of Mars. Is also known on another level, as the ever-burning light of the Temple of Lower Self.

The Seven of Cups-Debauch, also known as the: Lord of Illusory Success,
because here the Moon, which represents illusion, is in Aquarius.  Netzach  being in Yetzirah, influences the Astral World. In the Seven of Cups, Venus is in Scorpio, creating a very intense and emotional presence that is often involved in deceit. There is also a tendency to wallow in emotions, and/or self- deception to the point of dissipation. This does make it a card of egocentricity and selfishness.
Thus Crowley and Lady Freda Harris imply a great warning in this card, the lotuses are slimy, and ugly, a perversion of the sacrament of the cup in the Six, usually brought about by over-inflating the ego or staying locked in past emotions. The consciousness is polluted and the card implies, error, illusion and illusionary success, by denying the failure of past emotions to do the job.

Many of us fail to see that our individual consciousness, is a holy sacrament, rather we debase ourselves, with thoughts of lack, or superiority (bad and good), when neither exist.

We are One, who is Many; the Many being the Universal Collective Unconscious/ or Group Soul of All Creation. The Many are the Sacred Sacraments of the One. In other words, our incarnate consciousness is a formal sacred act or rite of Spirit. It is the rite of Spirit to become Sensually Self Aware! I AM ME! Is a declaration of an Elohim Yod (God-Flame), who is self aware.....and now can discriminate self thoughts from group thoughts.

Thoughts, are the "First Matter", awareness of "First Matter" manipulation, makes us Supreme in our creations! By untying the "not" of thoughts that have been installed by social pleasure/pain training, we become masters of Existence---the I AM ME, rather than the polluted thoughts of a "I Wanna-Be Me" who is all tied up in self absorbed pain-creation and wishes only to flee being itself; which really just states that we are creating ourselves as a "Lack" or a hole in time; an "I Ain't" rather than an "I AM"....by denying our own sacredness and selling that sacredness on the slave blocks of "fear", be it fear of rejection, fear of pain, fear of death, or just fear of being you!

The Shadow Tarot, 7 of Quantum Space/Time and the Abyss/ Valac is the obvious corresponding card to the Day side Thoth 7 of Cups-Debauch, as it implies "Debauch, illusionary success and release, abandon, and courage".
Valac

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
"Valu" redirects here. For the 2008 film, see Valu (film). This article is about the goetic demon. For the album by Erik Friedlander, see Volac: Book of Angels Volume 8. For the computer-language compiler, see Vala (programming language). In demonologyValac is the mighty Great President of Hell, having thirty (thirty-eight to other authors) legions of demons under his command.

Valac is said to give true answers about hidden treasures; he reveals where serpents can be seen, and delivers them harmless to the magician. He is said to appear as a small poor boy with angel wings riding on a two-headed dragon. Other spellings: Ualac, Valak, Valax, Valu, Valic, Volac.

Again, just another Qabalistic Angel that has "Fallen" under the pen of a  Christian revisionist monk.

When the Seven of Cups, Debauch is thrown or The Shadow Tarot, 7 of Quantum/Space/Time & the Abyss is thrown during a reading, it implies:
  • Emotional over extension.
  •  A state of depression where one tries to ease the pain by overindulgence.
  • The imagination running away with itself and the resulting patterns are depleting the persons energy.
  • This is the place of Dreams, so it could be the ability to conjure up visions, fantasies, but the vision is watery, making it difficult to see reality. So there is a implication of true talent and insight, but tending towards fantasy, illusion and unrealistic attitudes. The surrounding cards will support this latter  interpretation.
  • it indicates that in the next 7 weeks or 7 months, you are willing to move through indulgent or addictive patterns. This is shown by the number 7, which represents the Charioteer, that is the principle of change and movement.
  • In this case the number 7  indicates an inner spiritual/emotional support to assist you in your movement through depression and debauch patterns.
  • This card is about motion-emotion in fact, and it shows emotion being expressed in negative ways, rather than facing our feelings and solving them in positive non-victim ways.
  • The 7 of cups, suggest a willingness to change and move on but some confusion on how to go about it without undue pain.
  • You may also be experiencing negative emotions from the past; 7 years ago or when you were  7 , during some relationship crisis or family crisis.
  • This card suggests that you may want to move on and that you are no longer willing to carry the emotional burdens of the past family debauch or indulgent patterns of the past. T
  • his also indicates that you may no longer tolerate the debauch patterns of others in your life or the indulgent dynamics of the Scorpio people in your life (October 21 to November 21).

The Shadow Series, Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Tarot- 8 of Cups & The Shadow Tarot 8 of Quantum Space/Time and the Abyss

The Thoth Qabalistic Tarot, 8 of Cups-Indolence:
card represents emotional over-extension; where your giving of yourself to others and taking time for yourself is out of balance. Emotional happiness often depends on a balance of give and take.

Often emotional stagnation is a state of inertia brought on by over-extending oneself beyond personal limits and boundaries. Either, we ignored our limits and boundaries or just didn't know them. This card reminds us to set our boundaries and emotional limits and to honor those limits and boundaries if we are to experience emotional health.

The  Thoth eight of cups suggests that we are feeling tired, depleted, and emotionally short-circuited as a result of fulfilling others needs to the brim and ignoring our own.

The symbol of the lighted holes in the sea of emotion, depict over-extended energy which results from over-giving or the random actions of over-extending oneself. This just radiates off into the atmosphere where it is wasted energy.

Astrologically the 8 of cups card is Saturn in Pisces. Saturn suggests that we supply discipline or established structures in our life and represents a heaviness or weightiness. Pisces is a representation of emotional fluidity. The combination of Saturn and Pisces, reminds us to honor our emotional fluidity but to set personal limits and boundaries that honor ourselves. It is best to understand that we must not do for others, what they can do for themselves; for it is not our job to heal everyone we meet as freedom of choice demands that each of us have a right to our own emotional health or disease.  As these are conscious choices!

It is good to remember that we can't give what we don't have, so it is important to honor yourself and stay in your emotional balance if you are to assist others in theirs.

When I was studying Qabalistic Magic, my Mentor said something very startling to a young martyr (12yrs old) who feared the evil of his own emotional confusion. After a period of trying and trying, without success , to achieve a particularly difficult Qabalistic ritual, I begged with tears flowing down my face, for him to show me how. After a horrid period of begging, He held up his hand and said," If you wish to speak to me you must stand for I'll not support your weakness." Stunned, and defeated, I walked away feeling emotional depleted to the point of exhaustion and abruptly went to sleep. Upon awakening the light went on, and I proceeded to approach the Great Ritual with Greatness in my heart and succeeded. This card reminds us to honor the inner strength in all of us and not do for others what they must realize for themselves. It's okay not to always be right, and not to cure everyone who seems to need it. Since 50% of all Wisdom comes from correcting one's errors. One should do for others not what they allow you to do but what doesn't overstep your personal boundaries of honoring the Divine in yourself and others. Everyone has the right to their own imbalance so that by experience they can learn to correct it.

Emotional over-extension helps no one, it only magnifies the error. "Above all things, know thyself"!

The Thoth Deck 8 of Cups, is Indolence and/or The Lord of Abandoned Success. Attributed to this card is Saturn in Pisces. The Angels of the Decan: Vabaliah and Yeshivah.

In the Qabalistic Tarot, Hod is in Briah, the Mental World. To reiterate, Hod is the concrete mind; However, with Saturn in Pisces the 8 of Cups, being a Water sign doesn't balance Saturn's energy well.
With Saturn in a water sign, a certain amount of  introspection, manifests as disinterest with material conditions. The effect, is discontent or a decline in interest in anything. Thus, one's tendency  is to abandon success.

The interpretation of the Eight of Cups, is based on the fact that Pisces in the eight of cups, is calm but stagnant water, that is completely deadened by the heavy influences of Saturn.
We know Water, is the Element of consciousness/emotions, so what is going on within one is a deadening of interest, a complete lack of wonder, as shown by this Jean Baptiste Greuze painting of the 19th century.

Therefore on the Thoth 8 of Cups card, the lotuses of enlightenment are depicted as drooping, for lack of sun or rain. The Sea of mind has become little stagnant pools, in poisoned soil and all the cups are old and broken, symbolizing "an old and worn out" way of thinking. The Sun of Spirit, is a pallid yellowish light barely shinning through the leaden clouds of indigo. Mind and emotions on autopilot, thought process is not conducive to expanding and liberating the Life of the person. The blood in the body is moving like molasses. This person needs stimulation!
Not my favorite card, but this dullness of mind, is often necessary to warn us that it is time to evaluate our feelings.
The Shadow Tarot's, 8 of Quantum Space/Time-Amdusias, is the Nightside of the Thoth 8 of Cups and it to implies , indolence, endings, and seeding of new cycles.
Why this demon of a medieval monk's psychosis , Amdusias, is featured as the sigil on The Shadow Tarot 8 of Quantum Space/Time and the Abyss, is uncertain to me. Maybe, because he is evolved in the indolence of music of thunder storms.  FROM WIKIPEDIA, the free encyclopedia:King Amdusias[edit]
Amduscias
Amdusias (also Amduscias, Amdukias or Ambduscias) has 29 legions of demons and spirits under his command and has the rank of Great King. He is depicted as a human with claws instead of hands and feet, the head of a unicorn, and a trumpet to symbolize his powerful voice.
Amdusias is associated with thunder and it has been said that his voice is heard during storms. In other sources, he is accompanied by the sound of trumpets when he comes and will give concerts if commanded, but while all his types of musical instruments can be heard they cannot be seen. He is regarded as being the demon in charge of
the cacophonous music that is played in Hell. He can make trees bend at will.
He is mentioned as a King in Johann Weyer's Pseudomonarchia Daemonum (1583).
So if you have need of tree bending music, skry this cards sigil.
  • When the 8 of Cups or The Shadow Tarot, 8 of Quantum Space/Time and the Abyss, is thrown during a reading, the querent maybe experiencing:
  • Exhaustion, being overly tired, drain and dull emotionally.
  •  An unconscious change taking place, on a deep inner level of feeling.
  •  A warning here to Pay attention to your self...stop and examine your perspectives, this is the end of something and the beginning of something new!
  • The emotional state of stagnation and stillness. This could go on for 8 weeks or 8 months, depending on the querent's actions.
  • Is being warned to not over-extend themselves and not to just set emotional boundaries and limits but to honor them as well. This is especially so when one is deeply emotionally involved.
  •  The querent is reminded that in the next 8weeks or 8 months, they either are going to experience emotional over-extension or will have the opportunities to set real emotional boundaries and honor them and thus relieving the emotional stagnation they are presently experiencing.

The Tarot of Eli9 of Cups-Happiness:

This Thoth card represents contentment and satisfaction. Therefore this is a card represents a great blessing, emotional fulfillment and overflowing happiness as the will and imagination fuse into flowing creativity.
The Thoth 9 of Cups card states that happiness is being experienced internally (three vertical cups symbolize body, mind and spirit) and externally (three horizontal cups represent body, mind and spirit externally). Open lotus blossoms are the symbol of open spiritual awareness, internal happiness and the pewter cups represent the body, whose happiness is overflowing.

The astrological  symbol of this card is Jupiter in Pisces. Jupiter is the planetary symbol of luck, opportunity, and growth.

Pisces is the astrological sign of fluidity and fullness. Therefore the 9 of cups is representative of a total happiness that flows through body, mind and spirit.

Those who have read my blogs, know by now that Yesod, the ninth Sephiroth, is the Foundation of all manifested forms and forces on Malkuth-the physical plane.  The Nines, generally show very great fundamental force because they rest on the Firm Foundational Base of Yesod.
This Happiness is pure emotional power, so that means it can be used negatively or positively, depending on the perspective of the user.Discrimination is the Key here.
THE NINE OF CUPS-Lord of Material Happiness, is Jupiter in Pisces. The Angels of the Decan are Saliah and Asriel.

The Qabalistic Thoth Nine of Cups is Yesod in Briah, influencing the Material World. Here, the benevolence of Jupiter, effects happiness and satisfaction in the Earth plane (Malkuth), by functioning through the Water of Pisces.

This Day-side Thoth Card is a card of sensuality and pleasure; more mystical than convention allows and less stable than the Ten, but is now flowing and reaching towards the mystical states of ecstasy. Here, sensual pleasure, may be felt as a religious experience as the influence of Jupiter is strong in the passive, receptive and somewhat psychic character of Pisces. Jupiter in Pisces also indicates pleasant travel by water and brings good fortune  through occupations governed by Neptune.

The personality inclination here is a tendency for kindness, quiet and unassuming, with an unambitious approach to life. If the planet is well dignified, there may be a more ambitious approach to occupation.

The Square arrangement of the Cups, on the Thoth Card, overflowing into one another, suggests Chesed-Jupiter and the perfection of Water force; a dreamy current of Consciousness which is also reinforced by Yesod-9, being the number of the Moon. Pisces brings out the most Placid form of Water ( consciousness), so this card is a Happiness well-spring that floods into our normal state of consciousness. The recipient of this Happiness, really doesn't ponder a reason to be happy, for their own consciousness has not reasoned it out as a logical way to be.....they "just are"  and they feel "good all over".

THE SHADOW TAROT, 9 of Quantum Space/Time and the Abyss-Seere, is the comparable Nightside card to the Thoth 9 of Cups-Happiness. The Shadow Tarot card also means, "Happiness. Transcendence. Consummation."  Therefore, it is just another way to use a Sigil for invocation of a "state of mind".

FROM WIKIPEDIA, the free encyclopedia.

Prince Seere[edit]
Seir, also known as Seire, Seere, or 'Sear, is a Prince of Hell with 26 legions of demons under his command. He can go to any place on earth in a matter of seconds to accomplish the will of the conjurer, bring abundance, help in finding hidden treasures or in robbery, and is not a demon of evil but good nature, being mostly indifferent to evilness.
He is depicted as a man riding a winged horse, and is said to be beautiful.

Seere, is said to be the 70th spirit, as Solomon bound him (Solomon means: Sun of ON, and is considered by scholars, to be a Hebrew form of Amman Ra).

This spirit of happiness, is said to do anything asked of him and seems to be a carbon copy of the Angel Saliah who in turn seems to be a bastardization of the Goddess Salacia, the root of the word "Salacious". Salacia was the Sea-Goddess, Venus-Aphrodite that was worshiped in Rome as the feminine Abyss "with fish-teeming womb".  [Neumann, A.P.,6.]

The names of demons, has always come from the Christianized revisionism of the "old gods/goddesses" so I wouldn't believe in the " evil-fear factor" that makes demonology so luscious to a few in need of a "twist".

So when the Nine of Cups-Happiness or The Shadow Tarot 9 of Quantum Space/Time and the Abyss, Seere, is thrown during a reading, it implies:
  • Contentment and Satisfaction.
  • Everything looks and feels "rosy".
  • The querent, is enjoying self-esteem and inner joy; Flowing feelings of inspiration and joy.
  • The dull thunk in this chiming joy, is that this is temporary, as Change is the stability of the Universe; "the cat's away, so the mice can play", kind of moment. Before reason takes over, and finds the logical points of survival thinking that messes up "unmitigated joy'.
  • This card indicates that in the next 9 weeks or 9 months you are able to experience emotional expansion and liberation; happiness from feelings of contentment and feelings of fulfillment in completion.
  • The Querent has the ability to integrate  and balance deep internal feelings in a expansive and liberating way for your own external happiness. However, in a universe where "Change guarantees stability. Stability guarantees change." this is not permanent so my advise is to fearlessly enjoy fully the moment of great happiness and know that it is but a flowing moment that is to be experienced in the now.
  • Satiety is a momentary stability that must change, but doesn't mean drastic emotional swings but often a movement towards other creative endeavors and the various feelings new uncharted ground brings which is a positive, especially since we know we can experience deep emotional contentment and happiness by our ability to complete new endeavors.
  • When change and stability reach a balance both internally and externally, we experience a deep contentment and happiness.

The Shadow Series, Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Tarot 10 of Cups & The Shadow Tarot 10 of Quantum Space/Time & the Abyss

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth Ten of Cups-Satiety:
card represents deep emotional contentment that radiates outwardly from the inner self.

The back ground pattern that the radiant cups rest on is the Qabalistic Tree of Life which is the symbol of the "Supreme Being". Therefore this card symbolizes complete emotional, mental, and physical contentment. However, since the Astrological aspect of this card is Mars in Pisces, it also states that due to the dynamic vitality and sometimes violent motion of Mars, the peaceful waters  (emotions) of Pisces are soon to be disturbed.

This speedy end to satisfaction should not surprise any of us since change is the only constant in life. So for now, enjoy the deep satisfaction of a job well done that comes from an alignment of all the states of energy consciousness that we are composed of. This is an experience of a deep spiritual nature of satisfaction that knows soon it will be time to move on.

To reinstate, MALKUTH, Earth, is the 10th Serphiroth on the Tree of Life, and is the placement of the Qabalistic Tarot- 4 Tens.

The TEN OF CUPS is known as SATIETY, and is attributed to Mars in Pisces. Crowley calls this card, The Lord of Perfected Success, as this is the influence of MALKUTH in the unconscious Mental World known as Briah.

Satiety, is word meaning, filled to the point of excess, though it is hard to argue that excessive happiness is a negative thing; However, it could be distracting.

The Thoth Ten of Cups, although in the seemingly stable form of the Tree of Life, has a conflicting element that causes a tilting of the Cups, spilling water from the Great Lotus that overhangs the whole system.
This conflict is from Mars in Pisces. Mars is a noted gross, violent force, depicted in Myth as the God of War who attacks any noted perfection. Pisces, is notably peaceful, spiritual, sensitive, psychic, and receptive. Mars is brutal, fiery and dominant.
This combination means that the proper work of Water is done, and a substantial disturbance is due. In fact, Mars in Pisces, is considered by many astrologers to be the worst position of the 12 signs.

What is exceptional  about this Thoth card, is that the general astrological meaning of Mars in Pisces doesn't apply. Pisces is a watery sign, and Mars would signify a dispersal of energy to a point of frustration.
However, the meaning here is that fiery Mars causes
the Waters of Pisces to rush furiously into Briah, The Creative World, bringing great success on the Material plane of Malkuth/Assiah.
Yet, through all this supposed doom and gloom, when this card is thrown during a reading, it means that emotional matters are definitely arranged and settled, for the moment.  Pleasure proceeds, to dissipation and debauchery, as energy-in-motion follows the second law of thermodynamics.  The message here is ," Enjoy the moment of completion, all is done. Sit back, have a "dram", but avoid debauch, for soon you'll be called on to preform at your best."

The interesting imagery of this Thoth Card card expresses the opinion that all happiness is inspired from above, i.e. comes from the Divine. One could say that Happiness, is a higher-inner state of energy consciousness.
Ten is a number that when added together [1+0 =1), you end up at the beginning. It is the "up the down staircase" number that places us on top of one flight of stairs, only to find out that we are at the bottom of another flight. There are some Tarot readers that forgot this part of the Arcana, and call the Ten of Cups, permanent success in happiness, but Qabalists know that this is only the permanency of a job done and not happiness. There will be more to do on other issues. For in this One Energy Universe, is change/transformation. Yet here dances the "Lord of Material Happiness", the tenth Sephiroth, Malkuth/Kingdom and all seems well, but then we know how long happiness in material things lasts!

To be sure, when Tarot is used for Divination, it is best applied to Mundane matters, where as the meaning may be different if applied to a more spiritual plane of the initiate. The Placement of the cards, in the reading will clarify this statement. For instance, if the Ten is supported by Major Arcane cards, the reading of the card tends to be of a higher nature than the mundane world.

In ordinary matters, the divined meaning is , matters definitely arranged as wished, permanent and lasting success. This meaning of material success is reinforced if the 10 of Cup's lands on the position of "Beneath you" or "of House and Home", on a Celtic Cross layout. In fact, that would be paramount for this card, as it is a 10 of Malkuth (Kingdom) in a Earthly existence position.
The Nightside aspect of the Thoth 10 of Cups, is The Shadow Tarot card, Dantalion/10 of Quantum Space/Time and the Abyss.
The Dantalion card's subtitle is "Satiety. Manifestation. Culmination."

Dantalion:
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In demonologyDantalion (or Dantalian) is a powerful Great Duke of Hell, with thirty-six legions of demons under his command; he is the 71st of 72 spirits of Solomon.

He teaches all arts and sciences, and also declares the secret counsel of anyone, given that he knows the thoughts of all people and can change them at his will. He can also cause love and show the similitude of any person, show the same by means of a vision, and let them be in any part of the world they will.

He is depicted as a man with many appearances, all of which are those of men and women. There are also many depictions in which he is said to hold a book in one of his hands, such as the following, from The Lesser Key of Solomon:"The Seventy-first Spirit is Dantalion. He is a Duke Great and Mighty, appearing in the Form of a Man with many Countenances, all Men's and Women's Faces; and he hath a Book in his right hand. His Office is to teach all Arts and Sciences unto any; and to declare the Secret Counsel of any one; for he knoweth the Thoughts of all Men and Women, and can change them at his Will. He can cause Love, and show the Similitude of any person, and show the same by a Vision, let them be in what part of the World they Will. He governeth 36 Legions of Spirits; and this is his Seal, which wear thou, etc."

The Christian Monks, the authors of demonology, have yet inaugurated yet another Duke of Hell, making Hell a planet of Countries, rather than a "place of torture".  Maybe Earth, is Hell?  Or could it be Heaven?  It could go either way, depending on the perspective of the individual, but it would have to be in the only Dense and therefore Sensual Sephiroth on the Tree of Life, and that would be Malkuth/Kingdom; a place we call Earth.

Also the name Dandalion or Dandelion, is from the French words "dent-de-lion" or Tooth of the lion. Which really doesn't describe this demon but does describe the healing herb, Dandelion or Dandalion, as it is covered in bright yellow "tooth" like petals. The Lion is the symbol of the yellow Sun. May be this "demonizing" of a plant, was a type of propaganda supporting "Witch" burning, since dandelion is a healing herb often used by "wise women" to help heal the sick. Plus making demons responsible for disease, rather then what we now know to be germs (bacteria and viruses),  was a common theological medieval belief.

I have to say I admire the paranoid tenacity of the medieval monks, but there is a lot to be said about their lack of reasoning.  In a Universe conceived out of the belief of the Divine Creative's Self Awareness, it behooves us who are the inheritors of that imaginative  system of self identity to anchor belief to Knowledge gained by experience rather than faith. For it is our individual belief that builds our individual reality. Faith requires only belief and believing all that one thinks is foolish and dangerous. It seems here, yet again, the powers attributed to the Christ, the Solar Son, and healing herbs are also those of the demons. I am thinking the old medieval monks drank some bad wine, often....maybe bad dandelion wine?

My scholarly opinions on demonology, has no baring on the fact that I think that Linda Falorio's cards are wonderful art, and fun Tarot. The sigils she places on her cards, are indeed code, that when skried, open doors of knowledge in the Divine Collective Unconscious.

When the Thoth 10 of Cups or The Shadow Tarot-Dandalion card is thrown:
  • It indicates that in the next 10 weeks or 10 months you will experience a sense of deep vitality and energy radiating outward accompanied by feelings of contentment and satiety flowing through all aspects of your life.
  • A heart felt contentment.
  • This could also represent a deeply satisfying relationship with the Pisces people in your life; those born during the time of February 21 to March 21.
  • This is an experience of a deep spiritual nature of satisfaction that knows soon it will be time to move on.

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth Knight of Swords: Represents, Mastery of Passionate Thinking and Intentionality.

By now many of my readers know that the
Court Cards represent personality Archetypes. In the book: TAROT-Dictionary and Compendium, Jana Riley describes Archetypes:"The original Archetype was a thought in the Mind of God-male and female. The Supreme Mind became enamored with this thought and created life in Its image by the friction of Its Word-or by the motion of Its sound. This caused the Universe to divide into ordered strata, and because creation is within the Mind of God, everything is a model or a copy of the original pattern, which is God."
But it goes even more individual than that, for as the "Children of the Divine Creative", we are the inheritors of all that is our Divine Parents. Therefore the phenomena that is I AM, (existence), is a copy for most things, but for us, is merely a foundation from which we can build...as we please ourselves to be! Thus, the I AM, creates the phenom Me, out of freedom to choose identity. This is most often a combination of Archetypes, that produces something so totally unique, that we can call it an individual. However, these combined "fragments" of archetypes, can come "unglued" or un-assembled by doubting our Self value.

So I stand "upon the apple box" and give oratory to the Mass, "Stop doubting, and look deep within, you are good enough for the Divine Creative to give you it's Mind and all the Archetypes to build from; you are after all, it's Image! Experiment, for only you can be freely you! Follow your own inner star and wield the sword of mind, and the dagger of Imagination, with determined intent! Yell,'I AM ME and then go about creating your own definition, for that is the only one the Divine will hold you to!"

The court cards are pictures of 16 different personality types. Eight proven by Carl Jung, and later 8 more by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Myers who devised the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator ( MBTI) which is the most accurate tool used by counseling centers around the world. Proving once again the Ancient Wisdom of the Tarot.

The Knight of Swords is seen to be flying over water. In alchemy, elemental air is associated with the Mind and elemental Water is emotionality/imagination. This combination of air and water represents  passionate thinking.Three swallows represent the union of mind and heart with all action proceeding in united direction. This serves to remind us that focus, will, and intention must be aligned to achieve any goal.

The dagger in the left hand and the sword in the right hand, represent yin/yang, (feminine/masculine) forces of  One energy. Female is magnetic force and male is electric force, both must be combined to create a balanced unity called life.

Four wings, are four directions, north, south, east and west; each represent four levels of conscious: mental, emotional, spiritual and physical.

The six pointed star at the center of the wings, symbolizes illumined clarity and spiritual guidance.  Golden armor represents powerful fluid thinking.
To reiterate, Chokmah is the beginning state of conscious energy that is masculine in action. Chokmah is the "idea of male" and it's mate, Binah, is the "idea of Female".  Now we have the concepts of Father-Mother God.
Chokmah being the 2nd Sephira, called---Wisdom, is also the Force behind the four twos and the four Knights .
The twos symbolize the Forces of the King, who are Knights, and the four Queens uniting and initializing the Forces. The Knight-Kings are the Fathers of and initiators of Material Forces.

THE Qabalistic Thoth KNIGHT OF SWORDS:
is also known  as Lord of Winds and Breezes. King of the Elemental Spirits of the Air; the Sylphs and Sylphides.

The Knight represents a very Strong masculine mental force whose zodiacal attributes are the last Decan of Taurus and the first two Decans of Gemini. Here we have Specific Fire in Primal Air that is the personification of a Force behind the World of Astral Images and ideas (images and ideas belong to the Feminine).
This mental Power is violent, aggressive, and a cutting edged force that is much like an overheated wind. He is storm and violent emotion applied to an apparently manageable mind.

The symbols of this Mad Movement, is depicted in the art of the Knight of Swords, as his maddened steed is charging down from the heavens, with tempest about, and armed with both sword and poniard (which is also the "twins of Gemini"), he is the very personification of the idea of attack. The Bull like power of Taurus is represented in his steed and the Twins of Gemini are shown in his armament of sword and poniard. The Astrological sign of Gemini is often accused of being the combination of "good twin and bad twin".

The crest on his Helm is a revolving wing, showing violent motion in air, much like a helicopter beats the air into submission.
Such a character, if personal, would be that of a person who is clever, skillful, active and subtle. Being that he is fierce, delicate, and courageous, much like a Helicopter or Dragon Fly, does not keep him from being prey to his ideas which come as inspiration without consideration.

All of this changes when this card is ill dignified. If such occurs, he is incapable of decisions or purpose,  and any action he takes is so weakened by his mental indecision that it is easily brushed aside by opposition. Often we find, that inadequate violent action is merely futile effort at best.

However we choose to dignify this Knight, he is the "Extended Flame of mind" as Zoroaster calls it. Here the True Will To Force, as Chokmah, the 2 Sephira-Wisdom, is exploding the Mind.  The Taurian influence, makes it steadfast and the first Decanate of Gemini makes it inspirational; therefore an Idea tends to absorb the entire life of the individual in the blinding light of concentrated  aspiration. Thus is shown the danger to this state of mind, for the first Decan is also known as "shortened force" and  that shortened force is symbolized by the poniard. Shortened force often comes off as defensive and stubborn behavior which is a direct result of yin/yang imbalance.
The Shadow Tarot choose to use Stars or Constellations to describe the Personality Archetypes.  The comparable Shadow card to the Day side Thoth Knight of Swords is therefore Pleiades.
Often called the "Seven Sisters".

Pleiades
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

It is among the nearest star clusters to Earth and is the cluster most obvious to the naked eye in the night sky. The celestial entity has several meanings in different cultures and traditions. The cluster is dominated by hot blue and extremely luminous stars that have formed within the last 100 million years. Dust that forms a faint reflection nebulosity around the brightest stars was thought at first to be left over from the formation of the cluster (hence the alternative name Maia Nebula after the star Maia), but is now known to be an unrelated dust cloud in the interstellar medium, through which the stars are currently passing. Computer simulations have shown that the Pleiades was probably formed from a compact configuration that resembled the Orion Nebula. Astronomers estimate that the cluster will survive for about another 250 million years, after which it will disperse due to gravitational interactions with its galactic neighborhood.

According to Linda Falorio, the author of The Shadow Tarot,  the Pleiades card represents the "Demons of dark Energy at the Event Horizon". "The rites of Pleiades/Atlantis ruled by Demons of the South-West & North-East, Denizens of Dark Energy at the Event Horizon."  She explains that this is where the entities of Dark Matter come through the spaces between the stars to penetrate the human life-wave via Dark Energy, and the Event Horizon to manifest the Atlantean red rites, Lemurian rites (land of Mu), the Necronomicon and Lovecraftian Magick, "giving rise to the White Goddess of Indian cults".

Wow!  She is obviously trying to show the Awe of entering the Divine Collective Unconscious of this Universe. But sadly, we are the Demonic entities/children of the Dark Energy/Dark Matter, Divine Creative and any entities we meet, are family of the dark. We've entered this Universe through the "Gateway" that is  represented as Daath, the Qabalisitic design of the "Supreme Being", The Tree of Life. Daath is called "Knowledge" and is called the "invisible Serphiroth", because it is an "Event Horizon" or Dark Hole, that resides in the Abyss, into another parallel Universe.
We are the Daemons (Greek for God-Men) that came into this sensual Universe ("angels that married the women of men..."), to learn what we couldn't on the "other side of the Mirror" and/or Dark Side.  We need to witness mortality, and the mortal concerns.

As the Psyche Inheritors of this Universe, we best know what we are doing. We are born of the Divine Creative's Knowledge that it lacked discrimination of thought and that this lack of discrimination destroyed the Universe of Light, at least 3 times (according to Hindu knowledge). So the Divine sent its "Sons and Daughters", into the "Light".

The "Horns of Mercury" connect  Daath/Gnosis (Gnosis is Greek for Knowledge), with the Divine Creative-Feminine and Masculine because the Swift Energy of Communication, Knowledge, began through the Androgynous Womb of Daath. The Horns are the Crescent representation of the Divine Feminine, "Will to Form". You may recall from past blogs, that the sign of Mercury covers the entire Qabalistic Tree of Life, except for the First Sephira, Kether/Crown or the Point, a Qabalisitc representation of the "Singularity" that began from "no-thing". In other words before the "Multi-Verse" was born.

In pure Mind any thought will do, in the realm of "living-Mortal-Being", many thoughts are destructive. Only through the "Witness" of sensual living form, can we know what is detrimental to life, and what thoughts expand and liberate it.  I AM Knowledge made manifest, I AM ME. The phenomena of being, is now ours to consider. We now no longer exist, we now live.

Freedom to choose Self identity is either Blessing or curse, depending how you use your belief system seeks to either support or flagellate your "human" (Hu-god in Chinese, Man-mind in Hindu), or God-Mind form that is the Representative of your psyche in this world of sensual material being. Discrimination and diversity is why you have freedom of choice; to choose to be whatever you imagine yourself to be can only work if there are millions of ways to do this . Through us, a chaos of possibilities, does the Divine Creative seek to find the end of the entropic destruction of the Universal Self. You have great purpose. To define thoughts that promote "To be or not to be...".
So get over yourself and get on with You, for impeccability is what we do!

But I digress, so to continue on with the explanation of Pleiades.
The Ancient Egyptians knew the Pleiades as "The Divine Mother and Lady of Heaven", the Goddess Nuit.  Many of the Native American nations knew the Pleiades as the "Ancestor of Women", believing that all North American native tribes came from the Pleiades. Other names for the Pleiades are  "The Sparkling suns" or "Home of the black Gods". We are the "Nephilim" or the "Black Gods".

Born of alien "supernatural" and earth natural DNA manipulation, we are the most "Beautiful Monsters" in the Universe.  We are the Knights of Swords/Kings of Mind.

One skries The Shadow Tarot -Pleiades, to open their mind to this Archetype.
The magical devices for the Altar of Skrying, are:

  1. A magical image of a virgin or lamp.
  2. The Sylphs, spirits of air, are the magical influence.
  3. Crystals, frankincense, fennel and quick silver (mercury) are the magical tokens.

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth Queen of Swords, represents, Mastery of Objective Thinking and Clarity: Intellectual Thinking.

The lavishly illustrated card represents the Greek Goddess Athena-Diana-Artemis or if Hindu, the Goddess Kali.

She is sitting on a cloud, with sword and mask in hand, as she is the mask-cutter. She is the fair witnessing mind who removes all illusion and sees the Real that is masked by reality.

The Queen has cut through her own masks, roles, and defenses in order to retain her clarity and objectivity (The crystal crown). The child's head above the crown of clarity, symbolizes her child-like innocence and curiosity.

This Queen is the counselor or consultant for others and also has the courage to seek counsel and consulting for herself when necessary.

Therefore this card represents the mastery of objective which is the deepening of a centered rational mind; the quality of mind that demands objectivity, authenticity, and abandonment of pretense. The Observer within our consciousness which is detached from roles and assists us in reconnecting with our child like truth.

To reiterate, Binah, the Third Sephiroth, is often called the  Sanctifying Intelligence and known as the Parent of Faith. The Qabalistic Word Binah itself means Understanding and all Thoth Queens radiate from Binah.
What is often not realized is that She, Binah, is also Chronos who is the oldest of ancient gods.  We may know him as "Father Time" but the highly restrictive nature of time, birth, aging and death are the ultimate result of the gift of Life bestowed by Binah. So once again the Sexing of the Sephira proves to be insubstantial for complete understanding.  It helps to remember that each Sephira has a expressive-male-state and a receptive-female-state of consciousness.

The Queen of Swords is Water of Air, which is also called Specific Water in the Realm of Primal Air.  Water is the element attributed to consciousness and air is the element attributed to mind.  Thus She is as Crowley stated in the Book of Thoth,"clear, conscious perception of Idea, the Liberator of Mind".

The Queen of Swords is the Queen of the Thrones of Air. Queen of  Sylphs and Sylpides, attributed to the last Decan of Virgo and the first two Decans of Libra.

The severed head in the Thoth Queen's left hand reminds me of Kali Maa, the Hindu Goddess of Life and Death, but less ferocious in depiction.

Here the Queen of swords, as does Kali Maa, has the severed head of The Patriarch  and the Sword of Geburah (and extension of Binah)  in her right, pointing downward toward earth; indicating that she removes the masks of deceit and definition supplied by cultural thoughts as defined by Rulers, academia and theology.

Yetzirah,(The world of Air/Mind) is the world of deception and only keen perception, and observation are the Sword that slices away  all fantasy, delusion illusion and unreality.
The Queen of Swords also has upon her crowned head, a child's head viewing upward, implying that only the innocent child is unfettered by sterile concepts and useless ideas for they haven't been programed to believe in "the Ruler's" definition.

The severed head, implies that The Queen of Swords is the Sanctifying Intelligence that removes the "head of man", and/or "cultural thinking", bring us into the understanding of the ways in which each of us are deceived by thoughts while also teaching us to transcend them.  Thoughts are the Trickster, the "devil inside", that fools or bedevils us into believing survival thinking as consciousness, when all in all, Love is the consciousness of the Sanctifying Intelligence that has given our immortal Spirit Form.

Immortals don't worry about survival. They love and created mortal being. Thus, "tough  love", can be the Sword in Her hand, which is the domain of Geburah, called, Severity. Another aspect of the Great Binah.

The Shadow of the Thoth Queen of Swords, is represented in The Shadow Tarot, Pythoness of Dark Energy at the Event Horizon/ Capella.

Capella is often called,"the Shepard's star" or "the little she goat".
In Greek Mythology, Capella was called Amalthea, the wet nurse  who suckled Zeus on mount Ida.

Capella is a white star, situated on the body of the goat that lies in the arms of Auriga, the Charioteer.

As the Greek myth goes, the goat in the arms of Auriga, had a horn broken off during play with Zeus. That Horn is translated into the heavens as Capella, the "horn of plenty" and/or the Cornu-copia, which is an important star in Egyptian temple worship.

On the Egyptian Dendera zodiac, Capella is shown as a mummified cat held in the outstretched hand of a man crowned in feathers.
In ancient Greece, a temple at Eleusis dedicated to the Goddess Diana was orientated to this star.
Capella was also the Arcadian "Messenger of Light", the "patron star of Babylon".
It is said that to wear the sigil of the Capella -Pythoness card, is to receive honor and exaltation among nobility.

When the Queen of Swords or The Shadow Tarot-Capella card is thrown during a reading:

  • The querent desires to discard, pretense, masks, roles or defenses that hide their true self.
  • Wishes to develop or is developing intellectual thinking.
  • Is undergoing a sense of resolution and commitment.
  • Is experiencing intellectual maturity and is experiencing well tuned mental facilities.
  •  Sharp of wit.
  • Experiencing the Wisdom generated by sorrow.
  • Finding Wisdom through the acceptance of Pain with courage, and honesty.
  • Strong willed and determined, this woman will  can bear  whatever life presents her with.
  • Deep comprehension of frightening truths,  Able to think the unthinkable and giving expression to the unspeakable.
  • The professional, who can handle situations capably, quickly and efficiently.
  • The counseling or consulting aspect that is witnessed when people ask for clarification or have the desire to get to the bottom of things.
  • This is an aspect of mind that any decent Tarot Reader knows personally and for me, passionately. For I being a practicing Qabalist, and Tantric, I know Kali Ma, Kali Ema and Kali Uma, as a union of the three stages of the female anima (Earth Feminine consciousness) Maid, Mother and Crone. Each one of these aspects of the Divine Feminine, demands the release of pretense and self-absorbed ego.
  • Illusion must be stripped away from our eyes that are blinded by culture, indoctrination and thought organized for us by others.
  • To be psychic is to be child-like in your observation, where everyone is another way to be you but not necessarily the way you are. Observation without judgment of right and wrong.
  • She knows, and does not believe, as she sees belief as untried theory. In other-words, belief is pretense of knowledge and is not to be confused with faith which is Trust.
  •  Metal clarity, is a place many of us fear to go; we fear we might not like what we see.  You will be surprise when you become mentally clear, Truth built you so it could be you. Truth is made manifest as you, it is a dynamic presence, not a belief system. Kali/Athena may seem ruthless, but she is precisely merciful  with out the pretense of "bowing to our weakness".
